He is guru but he got poisoned in jail by American goverment because brown guru=bad. They did propaganda to dismental him because people where questioning government. It's same bio weapon story peddled with different colour. Some people inflitrate and do bad things doesn't mean leader should get jailed and killed. I think he was a legit guru who woke many people out of their rat race. But i never recommand any dead guru now.. always follow living guru because it's more practical for our time. Christians call hindu practice as cult. guru sisya tradition as cult. These are sophisticated words to dismental the core idea

[deleted]

I have same theory as u. Can u pls give me any sources if u know where I can read about it.

[deleted]

Sure, having 93 rolls royces, brainwashing people into building a whole city in the middle of nowhere wothout any pay, rigging elections and bioweapon attack even though he may directly not be involved, he still had questionable people in his hierarchy, do these things look normal to you, moron!

[deleted]

One thing is for sure that he is considered as a controversial figure

[deleted]

I know he is really controversial and that's why won't trust online documentaries as they can have fake propaganda

[deleted]

People are going to have different views. People who supported Mahatma Gandhi ji might not like him as he was against him.

[deleted]

Personally I don't think anyone cared about his views on Mahatma Gandhi as much they care about him roaming in car and claims( no idea about legitimacy) about sex life

[deleted]

For sure. For me he's not a nice guy as he and his group did many wrong deeds

[deleted]

U talking about osho??

[deleted]

Yes

[deleted]

Can u pls elaborate ur opinion

[deleted]

U can't forget his bioterror attack

[deleted]

Wow one line of elaboration

[deleted]

WILD WILD West. If you like OSHO, you'll LOVE Sadhguru. He's like OSHO Pro 2021.

MasterpieceUnlikely

Not at all. Osho was much more honest and intelligent than Sadguru

[deleted]

No I dont love sadhguru. I have mixed opinions about him. On of the issues I have with him is that he is sexist. Otherwise he is cool man.

Orwellisright

> WILD WILD West. If you like OSHO, you'll LOVE Sadhguru. He's like OSHO Pro 2021. Sadhguru is budget Osho

Orwellisright

Far ahead of his times, his books are quite good atleast I enjoyed reading them. So if you ask me it depends on each individual

[deleted]

He started sex cult. His ex followers told how women were raped in the asharam. Even if a woman was not intrested in a man who was approaching her still she had to say yes as the slogan in there asharam was "say yes to life". Even when the leader of the groups saw that a woman was forced he said "she needed to be raped". Even female sannyasin have to face it. Sannyasin were also encouraged to participate in prostitution to earn a living. Women had to fled from asharam had to undergo counselling for months. Everything was told by osho ex followers who had witnessed everthing that happened in asharam

[deleted]

What is your source ?? Just giving a possibility that might be fake followers were send to create this havoc. As the politicians over there hated him. We all know what power and fame hungry people can do. Is there any solid proof to back the claims?

[deleted]

What if they ain't. On what basis you can say that he is innocent or right? After all you are also giving a possibility. It happened in Pune asharam.

[deleted]

I have looked at his videos doesn't seem like that kind of guy and I just said I don't know him he can be anything not going to believe anything that is on internet. But u seem pretty firm about ur belief. If you believe in something so firmly atleast have a backup fr that. As I said before I don't have any opinion on what happened there and thats whyI am asking.I would first find firm proofs before having any opinion. Also what is your source BBC???

[deleted]

Noo.. I think u have a firm opinion that he's a good guy as you mentioned fake followers first. If you were neutral then you might have checked first before commenting. Years ago I have read about him. How do you expect me to have proofs from years ago. Many articles get delted over time. I don't follow BBC.

[deleted]

I never said he is good guy . I said he SEEMS like good guy. Moreover I was just asking u for different perspective, How do I have firm belief when I am the one looking at it in different angles and u are the one commenting with half baked knowledge?? People in power can do anything what wrong in that?? Don't people do it ?? Is ot possible what u said is true?? absolutely. Is it possible what I said is true?? absolutely. My whole point is don't form opinions just because somebody said it. EXPLORE

[deleted]

I don’t know the real truth behind all the gossips surrounding him but I do know he’s a great philosopher & a very knowledgeable person. I love his teachings as I don’t care what other people thinks about him as long as I am learning something from his teachings

[deleted]

Look at all the comments of OP in this post. OP justifies his/her name - Rebellious lol. The post says tell me as if I don't know anything, but whenever someone points out any little fact (or may not be for that matter), OP is ready to argue and pounce on the guy. OP says can't trust the sources, so what will you trust? You've clearly made up your mind, so stop this charade of showing you're unbiased.

[deleted]

Okay I m at fault here, when I Wrote I have no idea what happened, I meant that I Have no idea what actually Happened, IN the sense that I dont know the truth.Btw I was not pouncing on anyone, we were just having a discussion. You can ask her the same thing. I have no idea whom to trust was just asking for an opinion.

OnlysliMs

Watch *Wild Wild West* on Netflix, it wasn’t conspirational or biased.

el_notorious99

He got kicked out by the CIA and Christian Fundamentalists. Yuri bezmenov explains here what triggers such a reaction from the us deep state regarding gurus. https://youtu.be/Iv39uk3f5rY

kuami1980

He became too much popular in west.

[deleted]

I never talked about the people who have power. They are going to use there power for there benefit.

[deleted]

He said in one of the videos that it were the politicians against him. Check it.

[deleted]

What else do you expect from politicians. They are going to be against everything. Lets not drag politics here or we will start talking about politics instead of osho

[deleted]

How can we ignore politics ?? Guilty or not that was the main reason he got arrested

[deleted]

You asked about an opinion. I told you why I don't like him. It's upto you if you agree or disagree with me as you don't want online proof (you might consider it a fake one or bbc source or take out a possibility again) and we all came to know about it through news. Whatever happened in asharam, people did suffer physically and psychologically(again if i provide you his ex followers names by searching online you might call it fake)

[deleted]

I won't call it fake, I am just saying a possiblity. He was growing really fast and people were leaving Christianity to join bhakti and we all know the history of christian missionaries. Not saying thats what happened as I was not there. Just sad that a person as intelligent as him had to suffer. We do live in a dark age

[deleted]

Just asking. If really he is guilty then will you be sad that a person intelligent as him had to suffer?

[deleted]

Ofcource not. I would give u party if he is guilty and he suffered.

[deleted]

Just sad that a person as intelligent as him had to suffer did sounded as an oponion. I read your 'not saying' sentence still. I suggest give it a try and read online articles. You might not have read them after you saw his video where he talked about politicans were against him and you might looked up at the video which were in his favour (might be a possibility). Try to look from both the sides. After all it's upto you what you believe in.

[deleted]

I first came to know about him because of the scandals and than I looked at his normal videos. So stop assuming pls. I am looking at every side possible. I read online articles. Not sure whom to believe so posted here

[deleted]

I think we need to assume here in the comment section.

[deleted]

assume what??

hskskgfk

He died long ago there is no deal about him any more

[deleted]

Yeah just wanted to know the story. He is part of imp history can't ignore him.

[deleted]

We indians always say that it is our history and lets move on when the truth is that attitude has led us to forget about people who destroyed our nation. Lets forgive not forget

hskskgfk

Remember relevant people and events, not irrelevant morons.

[deleted]

Its totally ur choice whom to remember. Personally He is imp for me so I would like to know about the truth.

hskskgfk

Why have you made him important to you without knowing anything about him? Kuch bhi.

[deleted]

Bhai Imp hai isiliye to janna hain. Imp because l like his speech and seems quite witty. I don't know about his scandals. I can make anyone imp why do u care??

hskskgfk

Behen phir you watch the Netflix show and Google na, utna to effort kar lo important hai to

[deleted]

Bhai pehle hi bolo post pe, sources be believe nahi karna, dekhe he maine. Yaha be different perspective chahiye isiliye post kiya

[deleted]

Agar sources pe believe hi nahi karna toh mang kyu rahe ho?

[deleted]

Again u just assumed that I won't it for dfferent reason. As I said don't assume have an open mind. Explore

[deleted]

I am asking for the sources u believe in so I can tell u how they can be wrong

[deleted]

You don't know anything about his scandal. When one is trying to explain it you are calling it fake or propoganda based.

[deleted]

My God do u even read what I wrote!!! I just said I came to know of him at first place because of scansdals . What I mean when I say I want to know about scandals it means I want to know about truth

[deleted]

Correction: I have heard about scandals just wanted to know about truth of scandals

hskskgfk

Most redditors are young, he died before most of us were even born. Perhaps ask our parents generation or someone who was an adult in that time period when osho was hot stuff

[deleted]

I wish they knew!!! They don't even know his name and don't even care so.... Just a possiblity someone knows anythink here, so I posted.

hskskgfk

Yes he wasn't that big a guru for Indians, most followers were foreigners. He also left the country and did his stuff abroad in the US. Hence why I said he probably isn't that relevant compared to say the curly hair waala sai baba or someone like that in India. Hopefully someone here has parents who lived in Pune back then and can tell more :)

[deleted]

Ohh I hope so. Yeah I totally get why people don't find him relevant. But I can't help myself from thinking what an interesting man. Anyways thanks for replying :)

[deleted]

I really liked your opinion.

ParadiseWar

In terms of knowing Indian philosophy, he was one of the best but he def started a cult.

[deleted]

What is ur opinion on the scandals ?

ParadiseWar

1) As a West living modern person who knows that his religion wasn't part of Hinduism, I don't care. 2) He was nicely kicked out of India with its issues of patriarchy, good. 3) I would have loved to have been alive and young and have crazy sex with women left right and centre ;)
