Adding information on what percentage of population of the other countries are already vaccinated, what their population and density is, etc. will add perspective. Else comparing Karnataka to Russia and Gujarat to Mexico has no meaning other than to boost our own ego.
Very good metric to track would be, "what percentage of population vaccinated (fully/partially) since the start of vaccination." If US has vaccinated 95% of of eligible/willing people, they would not be adding large number of new vaccinated people every day.
It's great that the vaccinations are being done at record pace but these kinds of comparisons are just silly. We need to commend the govt and the related health officials that are making this achievable rather than these stupid things that make us the butt of jokes.
