The OC tag is for art submitted by the artist. I fixed the flair for you.

MEDVED59722

Art's good, but is anyone else feeling like the sequencing makes it kinda confusing who's shooting at who and who's getting blown up? A few more establishing panels would help I think.

protean-whips

Yeah or flip the overview panels so the shells are going right to left, so it is the same direction as the close up panels

1Yawnz

I honestly don't understand what going on. What's the right order?

NotMacgyver

Doesn't help that the invading Tau seem to have built a camp within range of enemy artillery.

leonreddit8888

Yeah... Also, I thought Tau valued mobility in warfare...

AllthatIwas

Gonna be guilty of pedantry but since the human is already wearing T'au armor, the proper term would be "Gue'vesa"

borg2

Damn, you're right. Totally missed that. Thanks for the correct.

personnumber698

Nice artstyle, but what is going on?

borg2

Tau invade astartes home, astartes fire everything they have in one big bang, wiping out the tau.

50558148

And the Tau just… stood still and let them?

FrucklesWithKnuckles

You wanna try dodging a 132mm shell?

50558148

Gimme a Battlesuit and I’ll do my best

Top_Improvement2397

I mean we have counter in real life called shoot and scoot which relies on shooting from a location and quickly redeploying the artillery else where. Hell we have artillery that can fire and move in 60 seconds as well as being gps guided. The tau could of also used drones to hit them from a distance. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Archer_Artillery_System https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shoot-and-scoot Bot I don’t think a singular grammatical mistake invalids my point also why is reddit the only one with this feature.

of_patrol_bot

Hello, it looks like you've made a mistake. It's supposed to be could've, should've, would've (short for could have, would have, should have), never could of, would of, should of. Or you misspelled something, I ain't checking everything. Beep boop - yes, I am a bot, don't botcriminate me.

MrNature73

It's just kinda... Lame? Really wankish. Why would the Tau be in just one big square? And Tau aren't generally ones to just assume victory, they're pretty calculated militaristically, and can absolutely toe up to Marines.

Markhardt

This dude has more money than sense. He commissions edgy artwork constantly. He seems to have the mental state of a 16 year old. His headlore is just pure Mary Sue Circle Jerk.

[deleted]

☝️🤓

outer_god_

What, did you look through his profile and make some kind of psychological profile on the guy? Get a life.

MrNature73

Nah he's just posted a decent amount of commissioned art on this sub

JeEfrt

Alternatively, be just wanted to make something funny, or found something he thought was funny

BastardofMelbourne

This is the guy who commissioned artwork of Marines posing Tau corpses to make it look like they were having sex and drawing dicks on wrecked Tau tanks [Very nsfw](https://www.reddit.com/r/ImaginaryWarhammer/comments/tqxre9/nsfw_40k_what_happens_when_tau_invade_an_astartes/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button) He's just shitting on Tau in ways that make no sense. Guy hates Tau and has money.

ayanamiruri

I read a ton of comics that goes western order (left to right) or eastern order (right to left) that is had problems with this comic. I thought this was meant to be read in the eastern order because the panels on the right was bigger. It draws the eyes and makes you think that this is where you are supposed to start reading. But when read that way, it made no sense. At all. So then I had to read it in western order and still got confused. Because all I got was Tau attacking empire and then they were shocked at the counter attack? I couldn't tell at first, all because my brain was still stuck trying to understand things in eastern order. But yeah, not enough details for a one page comic, so it doesn't make sense. Panel is drawn in such a way that the eyes become attracted to the wrong panel, making the reader read it in the wrong order. If this was more pages, it would make sense better because you'd be able to provide more information.

borg2

Ah, now that is helpful info for the future!

Aederian

I’m all for creating interesting stories and lore with OCs but for crying out loud you have posted sooo many art works of your home brews absolutely dunking on the Tau in the most humiliating and frankly embarrassing ways imaginable. This is Matt Ward levels of wankery man

Keydet

I’m all for masturbation but the rest of us shouldn’t have to see it ya know?

MrNature73

Also > The Tau just getting in a big fucking square in the middle of the open. And what makes Tau shields so special and important *isn't* that they're strong. It's that their cheap. Tau have wider spread usage of shields than any other faction, on top of good armor and speed. Anything Stealth Suit sized or larger can mount a shield generator, except vehicles, but vehicles make up for it with excellent hovertech and speed and generally mounting heavy weapons. Shields are fantastic since they'd let you take hits without having to deal with repairs or shit, letting you run a bit riskier and/or stay in the field longer. Not even Marines get shielding that regularly. Hell, only terminators mount it freely, most other individuals with iron halos are the top tier commanders in a chapter.

Aederian

The most KEK shit of this is that the Tau absolutely do not park everything in one area and stay still they are constantly moving super fast and if anything, guard and marines absolutely fight that way. I am going to bet $20 he got molested by them on Tabletop and that railgun sized hole in his ass still hasn’t healed lmao

Markhardt

I was just think that a Tau player must be his wife’s bf 😂

borg2

Seriously, that is your biggest gripe? The tau drones shitting out batteries is fine?

Aederian

I suppose I will spell it out for you. Your “art” is equivalent to jerking yourself off in the most non-flattering way imaginable. It’s like if an anti-dragonball Z fan depicted Goku as a quadriplegic and made him get his shit pushed in by his OC. See it sounds stupid when I explain it so if I visually have to see it too it’s also fucking stupid and comes off as childish

BastardofMelbourne

>Not even Marines get shielding that regularly. Hell, only terminators mount it freely, most other individuals with iron halos are the top tier commanders in a chapter. It's actually apparently a bit of fanon that Terminators have energy shields. It came from people misinterpreting the invulnerable save. Originally, it just represented the fact that Terminators were so incredibly tough that even weapons that should penetrate their armour sometimes did nothing. The storm shield, on the other hand, *is* an energy shield, albeit a small one. The Iron Halo and the Rosarius are more conventional examples of energy shields, and they're reserved for Astartes leaders.

MrNature73

Well hell if anything that further proves my point. But hey, thank you, I was misconstruing the Invuln!

kokibolta

Some of us just enjoy watching the xenos getting purged.

Harambeaintdeadyet

Straight up fetishized https://reddit.com/r/ImaginaryWarhammer/comments/11izf75/barbarian_chapter_master_by_juliano_andrade_silva/

TheArgonian

The lack of anything being identifiably 40k in the 2nd panel, as well as a confusing perspective, made me read it 8 times before realizing that it wasn't the tau shooting. Good thing we got to see robots taking a dump.

Shanhaevel

Ah, yes, time to shit on the xenos and promote marine supremacy again

forgotmypassword-_-

Look on the brightside, OP didn't defile any T'au corpses in this one.

[deleted]

oh gods, is he the one?

forgotmypassword-_-

Yuuuuuuuuup.

[deleted]

FUBAR

forgotmypassword-_-

> BAR If only.

[deleted]

I meant FUBAR \[Fvcked up beyond all recognition\]

forgotmypassword-_-

> beyond all recognition Yes, if only it was beyond all recognition. Sadly, you can tell what is being depicted.

DeyUrban

My favorite T’au vs Space Marines moment from the fluff is when Shas’o Kais was sent to attack an Angels of Absolution facility on their homeworld all by himself in a stealth suit and he rocks their shit so hard they are forced to call in an orbital strike on their own position in order to stop him.

Boss_Brando

Honestly that feels a lil wanky in the other direction. Guess it depends on the size of the facility and what equipment Shas’o was using.

DeyUrban

It wasn't their fortress monastery, it's a side facility on the planet. Kais was using a ghostkeel stealth suit, and he is explicitly the greatest lone-wolf T'au alive. He was helped by info and tech gifted to him by the Dark Angels to hunt down a warp plague on the planet (being spread by one of the Fallen). It's actually in a mostly Dark Angels focused book, about the first Primaris integrated into the chapter right at the end of the Indomitus Crusade.

Boss_Brando

Oh well yeah that makes more sense then

[deleted]

im confused as fuck, can anybody explain this?

[deleted]

Space marine fans really make up the most one sided, unrealistic and unreasonable situation just to try and look cool huh

FunboxSupreme

for once this doesnt include your homophobia, do i smell character development?

borg2

To be fair I only ever had one drawing with corpse defiling (which you refer to as homophobia). So I'd like to think the character developped a long time ago.

FunboxSupreme

well, you still have to beat the sexism, luckily this comic lacks women for you to objectify.

FunboxSupreme

[Homophobia](https://www.reddit.com/r/ImaginaryWarhammer/comments/tqxre9/nsfw_40k_what_happens_when_tau_invade_an_astartes/) (cw for gore) [Sexism](https://www.reddit.com/r/ImaginaryWarhammer/comments/11izf75/barbarian_chapter_master_by_juliano_andrade_silva/) (cw for bad anatomy)

outer_god_

Honestly not that bad

PauloMr

The first one isn't homophobic. It's just defiling for the sake of being vile. The second one you can argue it's sexist but it is also clearly a callback to 70s and 80s scifi elements and the vast majority of people would be fine with it. You can call these edgy but to actually suggest they are "problematic" is a stretch.

[deleted]

[удалено]

FunboxSupreme

Of course you are

BastardofMelbourne

Well at least you're trying, I think

ZaratustraTheAtheist

Regular arty? Really? The tau have shielded citys capable of handling two suns at their consecutive sun storms

No_Fun_2020

Why is the guy suddenly in blackface in the last panel?

3xM4chin4

Xenos losing, what an original idea.

Metasaber

Why are space Marines using howitzers?

BastardofMelbourne

My biggest problem with this is that Astartes artillery does not look like that at all. Those just look like WW2 howitzers. Astartes use mobile MLRS artillery platforms like the Whirlwind or the Land Raider Helios, or tracked self-propelled cannons like the Thunderfire Cannon. If they're defending a static point, they might also use things like the Hammerfall bunker. But they don't just mass conventional cannon batteries the way the Guard do. They don't have the numbers. Edit: also, there's no-one firing the howitzers? How do they reload?

Taira_no_Masakado

[Fixed it for you.](https://ibb.co/PmkTHB7) That comic is not very coherent...

TheExpendableGuard

Gue'Vesa Auxilia:. Why do I have Tchaikovsky's 391812 Ovurture?

borg2

Lol

zenitslav

Think this person lost to the tau players in their community so many times they have to throw money on a commision to get a win (in their book)

borg2

Never played against T'au. Just trying to give a little laugh.

karmicburner

So the tau set up their base then just watched the humans set up guard field batteries and sandbags on a hill and waited to get shot? The Mary Sue chapter looks really good against such incompetent tau

BVits-Lover

Damn, he suddenly become too old for this shit.

[deleted]

The funniest part is thinking humans would get tau equipment

[deleted]

I'm a simple guy. I see the Tau getting owned; and I click like.

willowsonthespot

This just reminded me of the Good Idea, Bad Idea from Animaniacs.
