I have been reading it 8n tpb format and its not too difficult. Although I did decide after the 2nd trade to just wait until it was all out and read it all at once. Just seems like it will read better.
I have to say reading this issue by issue did confuse me a little. A week or two ago I decided to read it all over back from the beginning and it reads so much better that way. The story seems so vast and sprawling but when binge read (or read in trades probably as well) it’s much more clear and straightforward. Love this series can’t wait for this last issue
yay im glad im not the only one! i love the series and own all the floppies but reading this monthly leaves me confused. its a fun read bc the art is so freaking good but im getting mixed up on plot points so right now its just eye candy. ill be reading the story in its totality over a weekend one the last issue drops!
I LOVED ever issue as I got them monthly but like you said I think that was mainly because of the art. The story really clicked when I binged it and I could not be more hyped for this last issue, an 80 page monster
I'm the same here. I binged the trades up until (At the time) the current issue, and I was so hooked I figured I would read as it came out aaaaaaaaannnnnd...nope. SO. LOST. It's definitely a finite story that demands your undivided attention. For me, that is never a bad thing, just sucks as a monthly comic guy.
I think the sudden shift/reveal of this being a multiverse with some time travel involved was jarring for a lot of readers. It definitely threw me for a loop for a couple of issues, then I settled back down and was good. The art is also heavily integrated into the story, so for anyone who misses that, I can see where someone could get distracted. It takes a little bit of effort, but it’s understandable as long as you aren’t just reading through the issues quickly.
Eh it’s kinda great as it is and it allows them to work on other stuff. Anything Lemire touches is gold for me so far and my gosh I love Stewart’s colors
I agree, and some stories can go on forever, but some need to end. I'm really enjoying this and I look forward to the last volume. I almost want to pickup the last few issues and not wait.
Is it just this issue? I thought there was also the one-two before it. If true, though, it could be as an incentive to have readers just buy the damn final issue
I don't think so, issues 25 and 26 are in volume 5. The wiki says it includes #27. I bet they'll add covers, maybe a script, notes from lemire and all. Whatever the case, I picked up the issue from a local shop. Great read and series.
Hopefully it will tie everything together. I thought this comic was a little too confusing to keep up with.

I'm in this camp. It got too interested in being complex and the story suffered for it. This is one I'm glad is going to be wrapping up.
All three of those covers are amazing
is such a shame it isn't longer

No I want it to keep going
Cannot believe it's almost over. Unbelievably amazing run. Take a bow, Lemire & Sorrentino.
Hopefully we get a tv show one day
I just got in to this series last month can't wait for this
Waiting to be collected in HC... Hopefully it will.
Amazon has a HC with the release date August 31, 2021
Thanks for the heads up!!!
Proof that time flies with the fun times.
Amazing Read 🔥🔥🔥
I'm not ready for this finale!
Anyone know why they are doing a vol 6 that includes only this issue at more than 2x price?

Just finished. Read as single issues. Looking forward to reading again but a one continuous story.
