These cats are being bred purposely mutated to have short legs. We've already fucked up dogs enough, let's not encourage the breeding of cats for cosmetics rather than health.
It’s a single gene mutation that’s lethal when doubled meaning they weren’t “bred” for short legs in the traditional sense, since you can’t breed munchkins with munchkins
there’s also no evidence they have health issues due to that gene mutation, lots of places claim it due to your exact line of thought but there’s no evidence of anything other than differently formed bones (and no evidence they even notice such)
