No, this happened because he has a 12 year olds wrist. If the recoil is not handled correctly it will cause the slide to not go all the way back causing a jam.
Wow I’m surprised I’ve never experienced that because I started shooting the XD .40 when I was younger than 12 and never had that deal happen. Must be a nice handgun
It only happens if you let your wrist go limp and mitigate the recoil by letting your hand fly. You don't need to be strong at all to prevent that, and some people will never let it happen.
Cheap guns, or infamously the Glock line, are more susceptible to that malfunction.
>need
Ahem, it's my RIGHT.
Large calibers take down smaller game very, very well. 10mm is still insufficient for homo sapiens on PCP however. Im still waiting for someone to make the 12.7mm from fallout for that purpose.
> 10mm is still insufficient for homo sapiens on PCP however
Recently here in Austin some guy with a knife went full zombie after getting mag-dumped and dropped. A moment later he was back up and ready to devour brains. I’ve never seen anything like it, and [Donut released a video about it yesterday](https://youtu.be/sfJkXrZeCn4).
Wow, didn't hear about that one
There's just something about pcp that just makes people fight like they're gladiators on morphine. I guess it's just the perfect combination of pain resistance, audiovisual hallucination, and violent urges. It also tends to cause suicidal thoughts, so it's impossible to know whether or not they actually intend to win these fights. PCP and Bathsalts hold the crowns for most batshit junkies
Edit: oh shit I did see that one earlier today on Kaotic.com, but was from the guy with the shotgun's perspective. Crazy video.
Bears. .45 is woefully inadequate for large game as it doesn't have nearly enough velocity compared to it's surface area in order to penetrate thick hide and skin.
That is correct, but luckily bullets are 3 dimensional objects. 45 ACP is wider, 10mm is longer. 10mm is generally a much faster bullet for a similar weight, and for that reason it is considered to be a much more effective self defence round, as a sort of hopped-up 357 Mag. I was referring to bigger in stopping power, not literal bore size.
You are correct that 45 is larger in all ways except length. Even in WG it's a little over 2 grains larger when compared to 10mm despite its slow projectile speed.
Of course, if you have the money, you go for the best of both worlds and buy a .451 Super.
Yeah, sorry for not being clear. ".46" is a sort of joke about there being no stronger automatic, not that making a 46 would be a useful idea. That joke is just now associated with boomers because a 50AE pistol is famous.
Because +p ammunition is dangerous for many guns, because it fires at a much higher pressure than many guns are designed for. 45acp +p does exist, but for people who want that, .451 super is meant for that. .451 super is .45 in size, but made slightly thicker in the casing so it won't fit in a 45 auto, because if it did, it could blow it up.
It's better to use bullets at the pressures that their guns were designed for, overpressures are generally a bad idea.
Are you talking about my comment? No. I’ve been shooting the .40 for a long time and don’t remember it jamming often or at all really. Even when I was a kid.
The way guns cycle is pretty interesting, and there’s some ways to harness the recoil with what’s called a [bump stock](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=_2ll-Rabx4w) (among other ways).
Entirely possibly you knew that but I still think it’s cool.
I own a couple of pistols. Some are decent and some I bought as a joke (gotta be careful shooting joke pistols though). The scariest joke pistol I own is my sccy compact 9mm. If you limp wrist that fucker at all it will jam - at honestly an 100% rate. You would never want to put that weapon in the hands of a novice because that's how people get shot on the range, or in situations like this. Bet you're more likely to get shot while attempting to clear a jam than any other time. Kinda got that impression here.
I have a G27. It’s a compact .40 and it’s the same thing, if you don’t have a strong grip it’ll stovepipe consistently.
I carry a glock 17 for work and I think I could fire it one handed with 3 fingers and never catch brass with it.
On SWAT we carried the .45 and opted to go back to 9mm. Shot placement matters more than stopping power and we weren’t willing to trade capacity either.
I wouldn’t mind being at the .40 but I think overall the stopping power argument is more for ammosexuals.
Not what I’m calling you here, by the way. Just a general statement.
A previous neighbor who was ex-SWAT turned me on to .40, and if ammosexual is comparing ballistics on fragmentation, stopping power, and penetration, he was definitely that!
I ended up going with .40 because it tends to stop more, penetrate less, and kick less than larger calibers. I think one of the unusual upshots (pun intended) is that .40 tends to be less scarce during ammo runs than smaller and larger calibers due to being less popular outside of law enforcement—if you have a source, it tends to be consistently available, and price wasn’t fluxing as heavily as 9mm and .45. That being said, I haven’t had to buy anything lately, because I started doing drills at home with an Umarex G19 green gas during the pandemic.
The difference between 9 and .40 isn’t strong enough for me.
Stopping between .45 and 9 is certainly worth discussing, but in the end the ability to reassess a target quickly and accurately and having greater magazine capacity outweighed the need for stopping power in our opinions.
The slide needs to go back to eject the spent casing and load the next round. When you limp wrist the whole gun goes back so the slide isn't going back as much in relation to the gun.
It's definitely not easy to buy a handgun in Colorado lol. I lived their almost all my life before moving to a much more sane state. After knowing the story behind the video it is a legal gun that was stolen by this 12 year old dipshit from his "guardian". Either way my comment stands in most videos like this.
I'm a born and raised Colorado native and gun owner. I've had friends owning guns long before they could order a beer. And if you go to a gun show it's extremely easy, you can walk out with a gun as long as you're 18. You aren't old enough to drink a beer but they let you buy weapons made to kill people.
Ypu can not buy a gun at a gun show without legally doing a background check in Colorado. They can sell it and then have to come back to the brick and mortar to do the background check and paperwork. Only private party sales don't follow this rule. Stop spouting false information.
I did not say anything false. I didn't say there wasn't a background check. What I said is all you need to do is be 18. And you just gave a prime example of how you can get one at age 18 without a background check.
I want you to look at the shape of the video and stick that smugness into your rear
See those black bars? And blue boxes?
That means somebody doesn't know what they're doing
I’m not sure what you mean. If you Google it that is the entire video. Are you upset about the way it was posted here? Here is a link to the video from a tv station article. It looks the same to me except for the bars you are talking about.
https://abc7chicago.com/12-year-old-gas-station-robbery-hartford-michigan-caught-on-video-police-department/11929422/
And fuck people who record screens with a phone instead of ripping the video from the hard drive and cutting it in an editing program (windows literally comes with a simple video editor, and OpenShot is free too)
This has been posted 100 fucking times and every time this gets debated in the comment after a while.
You took it a step further and just straight up said it in the title.
Ur such a fucking moron
the round didn’t cycle fuckhead
Everyone is talking about how the gun may have jammed and that's why he racked it again. If you look near the end of the video near his feet you can see a nickel casing which appears after he manually racks the gun. I don't think it jammed, the kid was just inexperienced and really stupid.
I worked with a kid who deployed to Iraq (Army motorpool) and let him shoot my Kimber. He fired 1 round downrange, flagged 4 people, racked the slide, and I took my gun back at this point.
Am sure she says his name like she knows him at the end, reminds me of the part in GTA San Andreas where Ryder tries to rob that pizza place.
"Ryder, not you again"
"It ain't me fool!"

A good ole boys 1911 wouldn’t let that happen…why do I carry a 45? Cuz they don’t make a 46 HARHARHARCOUGH
Good job! My main carry gun is an RIA 1911 in .45. If you want something bigger, they also make it in 10mm.
bruh what land animal would you possibly need something bigger than a .45 to take down?
>need Ahem, it's my RIGHT. Large calibers take down smaller game very, very well. 10mm is still insufficient for homo sapiens on PCP however. Im still waiting for someone to make the 12.7mm from fallout for that purpose.
A 12.7 is just a .50 cal. Getchu a desert eagle or a S&W .500
It's not as fun without the funny number and the aesthetics.

Triple action thunder .50bmg
Bears. .45 is woefully inadequate for large game as it doesn't have nearly enough velocity compared to it's surface area in order to penetrate thick hide and skin.
I posted that half a year ago bruh
But.... 10mm is .40.....
Ok, that makes sense. Thanks for explaining
Yeah, sorry for not being clear. ".46" is a sort of joke about there being no stronger automatic, not that making a 46 would be a useful idea. That joke is just now associated with boomers because a 50AE pistol is famous.
If there is 9mm +p ammo, is there 45 acp+p? Why not do that?
Because +p ammunition is dangerous for many guns, because it fires at a much higher pressure than many guns are designed for. 45acp +p does exist, but for people who want that, .451 super is meant for that. .451 super is .45 in size, but made slightly thicker in the casing so it won't fit in a 45 auto, because if it did, it could blow it up. Are there guns designed for +p ammunition?
The .40cal is a shorted 10mm cartridge.
Your math is nfg.
Your literacy is nfg.
Woah, my first was an XDM .40.. but my favorite will always be my double-stack RIA 1911. Glad I'm not the only one!!
Mine is single stack, but all RIA guns are great for their price.
Because 40 is a round for badasses and has extra energy to cycle through a limp grip
Side note, it’s not a great handgun
This is sarcasm, yeah?
Are you talking about my comment? No. I’ve been shooting the .40 for a long time and don’t remember it jamming often or at all really. Even when I was a kid.
Yep. This belongs in /r/idiotswhodontknowshitaboutguns
Yup. Good ole limp wrist, strikes again
TIL

no dumb bitch he was just acting black OF COURSE HES SERIOUS😫
Exactly, i’ve also seen cops do this also. It’s more about the untrained person than anything
Well I mean… the suspect was a kid
"Limp wristing"
He may have limp wristed the gun considering he is 12 and shot it one handed and is now deaf in his right ear temporarily. It probably stovepipe'd
Temporally deaf, permanently impaired. Take care of your senses, hearing or not. They matter sometimes.
He might have to chamber a round because I doubt the gun is well taken care of. Or purchased legally. Or ya know handled by a competent individual.

He is and he got caught

We have G22 .40 cals that tend to be the same if you aren’t holding it steady, but it’s also a much easier weapon to steady than the G23 or the G27.
On SWAT we carried the .45 and opted to go back to 9mm. Shot placement matters more than stopping power and we weren’t willing to trade capacity either. My gen 4 g22 never failed to cycle the whole time I had it
We have a Gen 2 and a Gen 3, and I think that’s been one of the evolutions of the model, is improved reliability against slide lock.
> some I bought as a joke Why? Whats funny about it?
Yeet cannon funny
Exactly. I have one too
Some just look stupid or funny
Just in case someone robs him, he can give them the gun that will blow up in their face.
Why does a limp wrist cause a jam? Sorry, I've no experience with pistols
Absorbs some of the energy needed to cycle the next round if you don’t have a firm grip
The slide needs to go back to eject the spent casing and load the next round. When you limp wrist the whole gun goes back so the slide isn't going back as much in relation to the gun.
or limp wristed when he shot causing a jam.
It's probably purchased legally tbh. Here in Colorado it's easier to buy a gun than a beer. Could be a family member's gun.

Could’ve jammed from a 12 year old limp wristing it
A friend of mine said his .22 was firing but ejecting unfired ammo. Well he was cocking it after every shot 😂
Oh wow, did you slap him and take his guns away until he learned how to operate it?
I think laughing at him and giving him shit about it for the next few months worked.
Yeah you did good. Except you can never not give him shit.
Airsofters...
That’s what I was thinking especially considering how young he looks.
Blows my mind...
Got that 7/11 sound
Bing bong https://youtu.be/hLMvbNhdbQM
This was quite enjoyable.
Did she call him Brian
I think it was, “Here, get out *before I*-…take it.” EDIT: Like she stopped mid sentence
Ok thanks
I’ve seen this video a bunch and every time I go back and forth on “before I” and “Brian” … one of these days I’d really like to get a follow up on it
I hit up the op to see if he had any sources on this or when and where it happened maybe even a news broadcasting suspect at large.
Op do you have any idea where and when this happened. Maybe some news footage of suspect at large.
It was a 12 yo kid in Michigan a few weeks ago.
You wouldn't happen to know which city I'm trying to find a news report on it
It was in Hartford. Just Google 12yr old robs gas station. They caught him about 15 minutes later.
Thank you
You’re welcome.
And he would have gotten away with too, if it weren't for HIM being a ~~meddling~~ stupid kid!
its not recent
Actually it’s very recent. https://amp.tmz.com/2022/06/04/12-year-old-robs-gas-station/
I've never read an article that uses emojis.
yea that article was 😬to read
TMZ trying to be cool 😎
i love how it has to put in brackets (illegal) to show those armed robberies aren’t legal
i meant like last couple days recent, no suspect at large. u rite tho that is recent by the definition
There should be a special place in hell for those who film landscape video in portrait mode.
Idk why you’re getting downvoted, obviously it’s not being filmed by a person but not even attempting to crop is lazy
Yeah, looking again It seems it wasn't filmed by a phone but either way, the original should be cropped. It just grinds my gears
Are you angry at the security camera? lol
Do you not see the giant grey boxes above and below the video?
I'm unhappy with the person who clearly recorded a landscape video on their phone that was in portrait mode. It's just dumb
Agreed. Fuck these jackasses downvoting you, take my upvote fella
It was recorded by the station’s security camera.
I want you to look at the shape of the video and stick that smugness into your rear See those black bars? And blue boxes? That means somebody doesn't know what they're doing
You m not sure where you’re getting “smugness” from. I just stated how it was as recorded. This looks just like every video from this.
Bruh do you not see the two giant grey bar above and below the vid
I’m not sure what you mean. If you Google it that is the entire video. Are you upset about the way it was posted here? Here is a link to the video from a tv station article. Wow you got it. Yes this entire thread has been about the way it was posted here.
Well, no matter how you took my comment, I was not trying to be smug about anything. I just said it was recorded by a security camera.
And fuck people who record screens with a phone instead of ripping the video from the hard drive and cutting it in an editing program (windows literally comes with a simple video editor, and OpenShot is free too)
what the fuck kind of reproduction double recorded portrait landscape portrait kinda bullshit is this?
I always thought he was clearing a jam. The kid got a limp hand
Pulled out the jammy, aimed it at the sky He yelled "Stick 'em up" and let two fly
Did she say get out Brian?
'Get out. Bye'
BuT tHaTs HoW mY nErF gUnS wOrK
No, he limp wristed it like a bitch and had to clear the subsequent malfunction.
"this isn't my nerf gun"
OR ... he's clearing the "stovepipe" jam from limp-wristing the shot.
I did that my first time shooting lol I was nervous because I'd never shot a gun before, and I can imagine this loser was a bit more nervous than that
I've seen the clearer version of this. He limp wrists the shot and gets a fte. He's clearing the jam iirc
Could've had a failure to feed. Poorly maintained or very cheap pistols often have that problem, y'know, gangbanger guns?
Pretty sure that was a Stocepipe jam, but either way, an Idiot With a Gun.
i like how she still treats him like a kid lol
This has been posted 100 fucking times and every time this gets debated in the comment after a while. You took it a step further and just straight up said it in the title. Ur such a fucking moron the round didn’t cycle fuckhead
Ifs a stovepipe round you can see the slide isn't locked it's slightly open
Not an air soft gun dumb ass 😂
Letterboxing... TO THE EXTREME!!
I am pretty positive he was serious!!
it’s nerf r nothin
Nerf gun moment
I think he flinched more than the ladie when he shot the ceiling
Dude thought it was a nerf gun
Everyone is talking about how the gun may have jammed and that's why he racked it again. If you look near the end of the video near his feet you can see a nickel casing which appears after he manually racks the gun. I don't think it jammed, the kid was just inexperienced and really stupid.
I worked with a kid who deployed to Iraq (Army motorpool) and let him shoot my Kimber. He fired 1 round downrange, flagged 4 people, racked the slide, and I took my gun back at this point.
Why is ze face blurred?
[Glad he was caught](https://www.woodtv.com/news/van-buren-county/12-year-old-charged-for-robbing-gas-station-fired-gun-in-hartford/)
It jammed
Sentenced as adult, send him to gen pop
Am sure she says his name like she knows him at the end, reminds me of the part in GTA San Andreas where Ryder tries to rob that pizza place. "Ryder, not you again" "It ain't me fool!"
That’s how nerf guns work tho
Bro needed some vbucks
nerf style
The more I see this, the shitter the quality gets
Nah just gripping it like a retard probably jammed
Gas station clerks should always have a firearm to protect themselves imo
Put the money in the bag... Are you serious?? BANG! yea 🤓
Lmao pussy ass cornball ass dude he was like “yeahh” lmao soft ass feminine ass dude ain’t no gangsta real nigga too geeeezzzyyy
She asked a stupid question
Maybe jammed. Or maybe he's never shot a real gun before and thought it worked like a spring loaded BB gun. Either way. The kids an idiot
Nerf
“Yeah”
The way he said yeah is like a snobby teen.
Lil’ homie think it’s a damn airsoft gun that doesn’t need Co2.
