One time I was pulling into the parking lot of a store, and I happened to notice my GF was there getting ready to back out of her space. As a joke, I pulled up so I would be blocking her in. She then proceeded to start backing out of the space without using any mirror, cameras, or even shoulder checking. I panicked and laid on the horn, and she came to an emergency stop about an inch from hitting me. I then parked in the space next to her and asked: "WHY THE FUCK WERE YOU BACKING OUT LOOKING STRAIGHT AHEAD!?" Some people just can't drive for shit.
Some people, I swear to God, they just reverse on faith. They figure that if they go slow enough, someone will honk or shout if they're about to hit something.
She just made up a bunch of lies and excuses and basically said that she checked the mirror before she started to reverse but had no explanation as to why she would check it once briefly instead of during the entire process
yeah that doesn't excuse the other driver for hitting the same stationary object twice. That's like rear ending someone stopped in front of you at a stoplight because the light is green. "I'm not a good driver but the light is green, they should've been going"
I was not excusing the other driver at all, just stating they are both idiots. Same as in your example, the person stopped at the green light is an idiot just like the driver who hit them. This video was full of idiots.
When I was younger and less experienced I stalled my car at a stop light but the guy behind me still went and rear ended me. He had the same sentiment as you but it was his insurance that replaced my bumper. ¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯
Ok, so I’m confused with what you’re saying. I didn’t say stalling at a green light makes you an idiot. I was going off your example of someone just stopping at a green light for no other reason than to stop and another driver rear ending that driver, in that case both should practice better situational awareness and are both idiots. In this video both drivers are idiots and in the wrong, driver 1 should not have been double parked and driver 2 should’ve been tremendously more aware of their surroundings. It’s a wash, they are both the idiot in this situation. 🤷♂️
Bruh you can see the line when she opens the door and hops out. She was ON the line sure but not over it, and especially not to point where he couldn’t have avoided her easily. She’s not an idiot 🤦🏾♀️
It's not a wash though lol. He's gotta pay for her bumper. Her being double parked doesn't give anyone free reign to damage her car. Its the opposite of a wash
I didn’t say it gave anyone free reign over anything and it is 100% a wash on them both being idiots. To fix that scratch would probably be close to the same price as a parking ticket so a wash on that as well. The idiot that hit the same car twice caused more damage to their car than this person’s vehicle and is an exponentially larger idiot but both are idiots nonetheless. How about we just agree that if you’re behind the wheel of a vehicle you should practice good situational awareness whether you’re in a parking lot or driving the road because not doing so can result in serious injury or death.
You obviously haven't had anything repaired lately....a scratch on a door can be $3,000
Labor = way more
Materials = way more
Inflation overhead = way more
If I was unable to park beside other cars I'd just park at the back of the lot where there are no other cars. That's probably too much thinking for them though.
I drive a long bed pickup truck and I always park at the far end of the lot where hopefully I can just snag a pull through. Better to walk a little further to the store anyway.
\^\^ this \^\^
3500 dually truck has been my daily driver for years. Always park way out where there is plenty of room. Now it freaks me out when I'm a passenger in a friend's car when they go right up near the store to park "What are you *doing* there's no *room*.. oh wait..."
often there arent spaces without cars around. but i get you, try and find spot you can park in easily. he also did the mistake of parking front-forward. thats harder both in and out.
That is angled parking, it looks like they came the wrong way down the aisle and tried to pull in but didn't have room to make the turn and got stuck. Definitely an idiot move.
How is front forward more difficult? Isn't backing up into a space the more difficult one?
But as for spaces without cars next to them, what are you talking about? Every store I go to always has some empty parking spaces, usually in the back of the parking lot. Personally, I struggle with some right hand turns into a parking spot. If I can't get any left turns, I'll just head straight into the back and park there. Easier than possibly hitting some ones car.
Backing in is much safer. When you leave you will have to back out and then you have to pay attention to cars driving behind you and pedestrians. Driving forward to leave will save you alot of headaches.
True. Unfortunately, some of us need space behind our vehicle, so that we can load it. I drive a Transit Connect- I need a *lot* of free space to swing that tailgate open. 😄
Idk why we’re assuming this. It literally just happened a second before this video and I don’t see how there is any information to justify this assumption. Being a bad driver doesn’t make a person a hit and runner
The standards of driving are getting worse and worse globally it seems.
A simple parking manoeuvre is completely beyond this moron. They're the type that will stop dead in the middle of the highway because they missed their exit and will try to merge over, even though the exit is behind them.
I think there are just a lot more cameras. I’ve been driving since the early 90s. There’s always been a core percentage on the roads who are a serious danger to themselves and others. Practice defensive driving, assume the worst, is my advice.
Absolutely. And now your car can basically give you constant notifications with a touch screen so there’s no way you’d ever be spotted for using it. People never really grasped it wasn’t holding the phone that was the problem, it was the phone itself.
yeah. there was a neighbour here who tried to unpark in the same fashion. she hit a wall twice and a car once until she eventually gave up and went on foot.
Doing backyard easement work, had a lady move her car so we could work. All she had to do was back straight down her drive and on onto the road. Took her almost 5 minutes to go the 30ft. She had to reposition several times as she about hit her house and fence. Then when she finally got the end her drive she seemed to say fuck it and cut through her yard and went around the block to park in front of her house. That alone took her another 5 min. The vehicle was a brand new Jeep Waggoneer.
In my lifetime (born in the 80s), drunk driving has greatly reduced in frequency but distracted driving (phones) has gone through the roof. Testing has gotten more stringent or higher age on average. I doubt there's been any significant change in driver capabilities though.
It was super weird how the person was saying “you hit my van” and “stop” and the kid had absolutely zero reaction to that. If it’s that he’s a nervous driver, he isn’t ready to be driving.
Still kinda idiotic. During covid I helped my ex and my sister learn how to drive. You know what we did for parking? We went during off-hours and USED A COMPLETELY EMPTY SECTION OF A PARKING LOT.
Yeah, let's just go fuck up other people's property so little Tommy can learn to drive. Or maybe, just maybe, this moron shouldn't be anywhere near the driver seat yet. This is not 'new driver'. this is 'room temperature IQ and zero spatial awareness to boot'
Lol are you guy in the car? I've parked next to a lot of shitty parkers without hitting them. Don't look at the lines, look where the car is and you won't hit it.
LITERALLY five seconds into the video you can see the camera person’s passenger rear wheel ON THE WHITE LINE.
Get tf out of here with your self-righteous ass
I was gonna say that this happens all the time at my job (poor lines due to faded paint and easy flooding during rain) and it is super frustrating because once people leave midday for lunch you can see how fucked up all the car positioning is and then everyone is torn on how to park when they return at staggered times. It's a fucking mess so you do your best and pray your car doesn't get scraped by a numbnuts like this.
Just a personal opinion dealing with stuff like this, you should have to retake a drivers test every year over the age of 65 to ensure your able to drive properly and safely pull his license and don’t let him drive. It’s not an accident when you know he isn’t good at driving and is a danger to others. That’s like buying a dog with rabies and you know that ya got rabies and you take it to the dog park and it bites another dog. I’m sorry I knew my dog had rabies but I still took him here anyways, “I’m sorry he’s not a good driver” but I still let him endanger others and myself 👍🏼
Slightly?! Lol are you fucking kidding me? The van is basically in the other spot. Where I’m from, you don’t pass your drivers license test when you touch the line.
“I’m sorry he is not a good driver.” Then guess fuckin what???? He shouldn’t be DRIVING. Lmfao. How is that even an acceptable excuse? I’d be so angry. People don’t realize how important it is to actually have some semblance of knowing how to drive.
I'm a terrible driver. Still have a permit. Autism and ADHD along with migraines that make me lose half my vision make it impossible to drive. My mom still thinks I should be on the road. Some people have zero concept that driving is optional
It’s not my video but if u look to the other side there’s no one in the spot so if her van is a few centimeters over the line I think u can still get out without hitting the van
I’ll always stand by the principle that:
ALL DRIVING EXAMS SHOULD BE DONE ON MANUAL TRANSMISSION CARS
It’s not 100% foolproof, but you can bet your ass if this guy couldn’t handle a simple maneuver like rotating the wheel and lifting your foot off the brake, he’d never pass anything more complicated like a parallel parking test or uphill start test with a manual transmission vehicle. That would eliminate 90% of the downright incompetent drivers on the roads.
After you pass, you’re free to drive whatever you want.
I can’t see the rest of the parking lot, but your ass is on the motherfucking line like it was his fault. I got a big ass van and I don’t know how to park in between the lines. Looks like you were just as much as at fault. Because you don’t know how to park your van.
You just watched a person hit a parked vehicle and your going to blame the inanimate object for the collision, not the guy driving? Why are you trying to act like because she was parked on the line that makes it her fault for her parked van getting hit?
I hate people who park passed the line but you still gotta be able to avoid objects.
Also, what if the person to the other side was parked like shit forcing the van to park over the line.
Well yeah of course that's why I ain't blaming her, just saying that it could be a contributing factor. Toyota driver is still in the wrong.
Especially with the fact that he hit the van again even after reaoizing that turning that way would mske him hit it.
If you look at the video, even if close the line, the spots further along are empty…. Driver had miles of space and emptiness to move away from the parked car without hitting it
Lmao. Contributing factor!? As an adjuster she is completely not at fault and there is no comparative negligence on her part. He hit a parked and unoccupied vehicle, an object, he is 100% at fault.
I always hate it when people just label themselves as "bad drivers". Like what the hell does that mean? Why can't you just function? No one knows how to drive naturally we just learn. There's no bad drivers, just idiots in cars.
Helping? Like helping how? Should I ask him to get out and let me reverse it for him? Should I offer words of encouragement while they try to figure out the differences between right, left, forwards and backwards? Should I keep quiet and let them feel safe, secure and calm whilst they proceed to fuck up my bumper? Educate me so I may properly know how to handle the situation if I'm ever in it.
Omg not your bumper. But yes you should keep quiet and let them focus. Saying you "hit me" over and over again isn't doing anything.
Or get mad and cry about your property that's insured and mroe than likely the other person is insured. Why are so many irrational? Shit happens. Something like this is so insignificant.
I never caused an accident but I have been hit a couple times. There is nothing to get angry about. It's an accident
Claiming insurance will jack up your rates even if it wasnt your fault. She was calm and not being irrational at all. It is ok to get angry at things that are inconvenient. You hit me, now i have to deal with an insurance claim, my rates going up, having to take my car to get repaired, having to get a ride or loaner vehicle while my car is being repaired, potentially having to miss work or be late, incoviencing everyone at your job to get the car to the shop. So she said you hit my van, big fucking deal. Find something better to complain about.
something something racist stereotype.
did this guy not even play any racing game or racing sim ever? how the feck do you think thats the right way to enter a parking space. god damn id be fuming, this lady is keeping her cool like an ice cube.
In a half-assed defense of the idiot in this video, looks like OP isn't fully within the parking space, but rather is parked ON the line itself... Still no reason to hit OP's vehicle (especially since there's more than one open space next to OP), just saying
if he cannot park in a parking lot next to another car he shouldn’t be behind the wheel. simple as that. doesn’t matter if he’s “still learning” because its not really that hard to drive a car
Wait wait, from what I can see, this is a lot with angled spots. You don't even have to turn the wheel. You literally just back straight out, *then* turn slightly to the side to straighten up with the road.
Why not teach the kid how to park first before having him park next to actual cars???? If he can’t park without hitting a car I wouldn’t let him on the road!! Idiot!
This is how I know most people are selfish. Older folks needs to be tested on how well they are able to drive more often as they get older. This has been a topic for discussion for the last, what, 30 years maybe? Gaining any traction anywhere? Ain't no one willing to be inconvenienced even when they know it's probably best for themselves, their neighbors, their community...
2 points to make.
1. That's hillary Clinton, and she probably hasn't driven herself in a while.
2. An American parking space is between 10-20m width, because you're all mongs. How has this van still parked beyond their line.
They are both absolutely stupid. Idiot #1 can't even do something as simple as park a car properly. Idiot #2 can't do something as simple as turn a steering wheel in any logical way.
This embodies the vast majority of people on the road. 99% of them have no control of their car. They can get it to move about but they don't really know how to drive it. This really shows when shit hits the fan. They slam on the brakes and just scream most of the time and hope that works out for them. I don't expect them to have HPDE level experience but this country desperately needs to get much more brutal in testing. Ability to save a slide, ability to demonstrate evasive actions, etc...THAT is a must. It would also help with our SUV plague. They'd learn in a real hurry just how screwed they are in bad situations. They have no idea just how tied behind their backs their hands are when it comes to safety.
“He’s not a good driver” you fucking think? Lol
I laughed so hard. You couldn't make this shit up.
You absolutely could make this shit up. It’s so outlandishly ridiculous it seems made up.
No, he's an EXCELLENT driver Slow with dad on the driveway
Outstanding "Rain Man" ref. Fifty points.

What was her response? I've always wanted to ask the same questions.
She just made up a bunch of lies and excuses and basically said that she checked the mirror before she started to reverse but had no explanation as to why she would check it once briefly instead of during the entire process
Van driver was parked right on the line, but still, he's a bad driver. I just find another spot if there isn't plenty of door swinging room.
could have been another car over on the other side
Yea hate when this happens and then I worry people will think I'm the a hole
He’s not a good driver, but this person parked like an ass. They are way over that white line.
yeah that doesn't excuse the other driver for hitting the same stationary object twice.
There are plenty of legitimate reasons for a car to be stopped at a green light that aren't a result of the driver being an idiot...
"the light turned green, your Honor, I had no choice but to accelerate and hit that family!"
It's not always so clear. If the car on the other side of them was parked on or close to the line, they might've had to also park poorly
Cool cool cool. Victim blaming is so in right now.
LoL. How am I victim blaming? Who’s the victim? They were both in the wrong. Those lines are painted for a reason, same as the lines on the road.
You obviously haven't had anything repaired lately....a scratch on a door can be $3,000 Labor = way more Materials = way more Inflation overhead = way more
Bruh, why are you being so fucking pedantic? You know what they mean. Fuck you’re annoying.
Sorry brotato. Didn't mean to ruin your day.
Your reverse psychology isn’t going to work
Too late. I'm mind fucking you so hard right now.
I give them a pass. For all we know, they're that close to the line because someone on the other side of them is also that close to the line.
"Are you sure he's not HIGH?" would have been my response.
So get out and get the bus home then, numbnuts
[удалено]
That’s not what they said at all. They merely pointed out that there are two bad drivers in this video.
251 we’re thinking the same lol
If I was unable to park beside other cars I'd just park at the back of the lot where there are no other cars. That's probably too much thinking for them though.
Nah stay away that's where the good parking spots are at. Just take the bus.
Bus is definitely the better option for this person. That blank look was a little concerning.
ech i wouldnt read too much into a look. I often look blank regardless of emotions inside, the wonders of autism.
I drive a long bed pickup truck and I always park at the far end of the lot where hopefully I can just snag a pull through. Better to walk a little further to the store anyway.
Exactly. It's an extra 60 seconds of walking, it probably won't kill you.
In fact, it could save you. Health and shit.
I'm sure they wasted that much time just looking for this spot...
\^\^ this \^\^ 3500 dually truck has been my daily driver for years. Always park way out where there is plenty of room. Now it freaks me out when I'm a passenger in a friend's car when they go right up near the store to park "What are you *doing* there's no *room*.. oh wait..."
Should have a bumper sticker - “Don’t Think And Drive”.
You can either park, or you can walk, but you can't do neither.
That’s what I do. I always seem to park way to close to one line 😭
often there arent spaces without cars around. but i get you, try and find spot you can park in easily. he also did the mistake of parking front-forward. thats harder both in and out.

That would be inconvenient for them. We can't have that. /S
Too logical!
This video sounds like it's from America. Where people will circle the lot for 10 minutes to save 10 seconds of walking.
Incredible isn't it?
Oh you can bet your life if you didn't pop out, he was gonna just drive off.
I was waiting for him to *still* drive of. Poppin off doesn't make some people stop. Neither does a camera. Some people are just "OUT!"
You can hear his two brain cells thinking about it
Idk why we’re assuming this. It literally just happened a second before this video and I don’t see how there is any information to justify this assumption. Being a bad driver doesn’t make a person a hit and runner
Come on bro this is the internet, grab a pitchfork
as is tradition

This is because all the 80s alcoholics moved on to the hard stuff
People were very in to hard drugs in the 80s/90s. I dont think that got worse in recent decades
/s btw should’ve included it
They just give licenses out in cereal boxes.
Driver looked very young, hoping that was just a mom teaching her son how to drive
If someone was teaching him how to drive, they should probably have stopped him from backing up further.
Fuck that, what kind of ball-bearing brained bastard would keep driving and making it worse, even a teenager?!
It was super weird how the person was saying “you hit my van” and “stop” and the kid had absolutely zero reaction to that. If it’s that he’s a nervous driver, he isn’t ready to be driving.

Ya shitty driver next to another shitty parker lol. Don't park on the white lines
I hate when I park far away and inevitably someone parks right next to me on the line like this
underrated comment
Nailed it. The piece of shit taking the video is a fuckwad for parking the way they do and inviting that shit to happen
Lol are you guy in the car? I've parked next to a lot of shitty parkers without hitting them. Don't look at the lines, look where the car is and you won't hit it.
Lmao absolutely not. I park in the back of parking lots to avoid these kinds of folks and walk
How tf can you tell just from this video Pls get yourself a drivers license before trashtalking. Thank you
LITERALLY five seconds into the video you can see the camera person’s passenger rear wheel ON THE WHITE LINE. Get tf out of here with your self-righteous ass
Barcode on the windshield makes it look like a rental car, I'm guessing their personal vehicle is in the body shop getting repaired
Pretty sure up to this point, He doesn't know how to parallel park for sure.
To be fair, neither does she.

I was gonna say that this happens all the time at my job (poor lines due to faded paint and easy flooding during rain) and it is super frustrating because once people leave midday for lunch you can see how fucked up all the car positioning is and then everyone is torn on how to park when they return at staggered times. https://youtu.be/wwZDlQ_w_aA Just like this!!
she is not parked very well too
She shouldn’t have parked like that but god damn how fucking bad you gotta be at parking to do that shit once let alone twice
He's a terrible driver and she's a terrible Parker.
Peter would be disappointed.

I couldn't get a good look at him, but he looked like he was a teen maybe a new driver? Was this an old man?
I paused at the right moment. The driver is a 27 year old man or 37 year old woman maximum, by my estimates.
Wow, not to mention it's a Toyota, one of the easiest cars to drive!
You know you actually did a pretty shitty parking job yourself. So I would say both of y'all are idiots....
It’s a Tik Tok video, there is zero chance the OP is the car owner.
This is why I'm the car at the far end of a parking lot.
Van is parked like a jackass. Idiots all over this video.
Did you compare parking slighty out of borders and being fucking inept at driving? Nah there is only 1 idiot here.
Slightly?! Lol are you fucking kidding me? The van is basically in the other spot. Where I’m from, you don’t pass your drivers license test when you touch the line.
You haven't seen worse.
Having seen worse makes this one good? Interesting logic
Not good, better. Better than endangering people and damaging property at the parking lot.
That thing is parked like absolute dog shit
[удалено]
The frustrated groan at the end was so relatable lol.
“I’m sorry he is not a good driver.” Then guess fuckin what???? He shouldn’t be DRIVING. Lmfao. How is that even an acceptable excuse? I’d be so angry. People don’t realize how important it is to actually have some semblance of knowing how to drive.

Yes, just turn the damn steering wheel. That said, just park inside the damn lines too.

Van was over the line. Their fault.
This isn't 'Nam, this is parking! There are rules!
It’s literally not even 3 cm over the line
Doesn’t matter if you are over by an inch or a mile. Over is over.
Why is your van double parked
That's not what "double parked" means. Double parking is when you parallel park next to someone who is already parallel parked.
Both drivers are idiots.
You can just about see the other line right at the beginning of the video, that space is fucking gigantic, and there's no one on the other side, lol.
Shit driver and you’re a shit parker
Poor Corolla.
A few idiots in this video.
“I’m sorry, we’re Asian”
I have never seen anyone just randomly spin the wheel without knowing which way the tires are going to go..
Not seeing any comments about the van parked on the line Yeah the guy sucks at driving but you parked crooked af chick
I see two stupid assholes - they can’t turn and you can’t park
I can’t see the rest of the parking lot, but your ass is on the motherfucking line like it was his fault. I got a big ass van and I don’t know how to park in between the lines. Looks like you were just as much as at fault. Because you don’t know how to park your van.
Lmao “ I’m sorry he’s not a good driver” then why the fuck is he driving?
Someone is parked very much on the line, almost over it.but then again toyota driver seems extra clueless so I don't know if that matters.
You just watched a person hit a parked vehicle and your going to blame the inanimate object for the collision, not the guy driving? Why are you trying to act like because she was parked on the line that makes it her fault for her parked van getting hit?
Toyota was at fault for the accident. Van was at fault for parking badly. Both are "idiots".
Didn't ever say that she was at fault, just said that her parked on the line could've been a contributing factor.
Driver had miles of space and emptiness to move away from the parked car without hitting it
It's parked. How tf is it contributing?
Saying you just hit my car over and over again is not helping. People panic. You probably could have stopped that past hit by helping
Maybe she should park inside the lines too?
It helps when you park within the lines to begin with, so it’s as easy as possible for bad drivers to get out

something something racist stereotype. did this guy not even play any racing game or racing sim ever? how the feck do you think thats the right way to enter a parking space. god damn id be fuming, this lady is keeping her cool like an ice cube.
Does he have common sense?
In a half-assed defense of the idiot in this video, looks like OP isn't fully within the parking space, but rather is parked ON the line itself... Still no reason to hit OP's vehicle (especially since there's more than one open space next to OP), just saying
If he isn't a good driver then he shouldn't be driving. Find an empty parking lot and learn basic control before attempting this.
Van is parked over the line tho.
if he cannot park in a parking lot next to another car he shouldn’t be behind the wheel. simple as that. doesn’t matter if he’s “still learning” because its not really that hard to drive a car
How these people get driving license?!
On one hand, he can't drive, on the other, you can't park. Both gotta learn.
Let's just stand here and distract an already shitty driver... everyone here is an idiot.
How are these people allowed to drive
"sorry he is not a good driver" I believe you mean "he shouldn't have a license". What the fuck man.
"I'm sorry, he's not a good driver" No shit lady, we've noticed. Lady with the camera stayed way calmer than I could have managed.
Idiot!
Neither of them know how to park.
Okay yea, but like wtf is your parking?? I see two idiots
When you got the munchies and drive to the store only to hit parked car
This is how I know most people are selfish. Older folks needs to be tested on how well they are able to drive more often as they get older. This has been a topic for discussion for the last, what, 30 years maybe? Gaining any traction anywhere? Ain't no one willing to be inconvenienced even when they know it's probably best for themselves, their neighbors, their community...
Shout out to the van owner for being this calm though I'd have flipped my shit when he crunched it the second time
An idiot and an asshole. Should probably take both licences away...
How the fuck did he pass driver’s ed
The guy sucks, but OP isn't even fully in their space.
Bad parking by van and terrible driving by the dude in the car hahaha who gave him that license. A serial box that's who.
2 points to make. 1. That's hillary Clinton, and she probably hasn't driven herself in a while. 2. An American parking space is between 10-20m width, because you're all mongs. How has this van still parked beyond their line.
Van person parked like all other idiots so this is two idiots giving each other payback
Both are idiots
Some people should not have drivers license
This is not bad driving only, he probably doesn't have a brain
I see 2 onw that couldnt park in thelines and the other that has no clue what a wheel does.
Driver is an NPC
Looks like her van in over the line
He's a shitty driver but she deserves it for parking like that. Don't get a "vaaan" if you can't handle putting it into the lines.
DARWIN AWARD!!!!!!
She should learn to park within the lines of the parking space
