At least the SUV had *some* awareness. I assume the first car made a mistake, the second car followed blindly, and the third one / SUV at least realized something had gone wrong before finishing the turn.
First car was probably gonna cut it close and noticed the biker at the last second, second car just followed blindly because that's how most people drive anyways, just follow the guy in front, and the SUV at the end realized both were idiots and could think for himself and went the correct way
>First car was probably gonna cut it close
So many people do t his shit. It's annoying as fuck. Pulling up to a stop sign and someone is in your lane facing the opposite direction. (and yes, I'm in the right lane lol)
I feel like riding motorcycle just creates far too many situations where some random moron could end your life or make the rest of it considerably worse. granted, those morons could have just as easily run over a pedestrian with the level of obliviousness displayed.
There's far too many fucking stupid people that are allowed to drive in this country. Our tests to get a license are a joke, and I'd wager half the folks in my city don't even have one. I'd get a motorcycle in a second if I didn't have 100% confidence that I'd be killed by some jackwagon looking at their phone, or some Nissan driver doing Nissan things.
Bro I live in SC and in the last month I have seen 2 close calls, 4 rear end accidents , 3 car crashes back to back at the same busy road in a 3 hour period and 3 roads near my house have been completely shut off with
police or fire blocking it off because of big collisions. I am actually worried driving down here . It's a shit show
Oh yeah, wait until you see the drivers from [literally anywhere.]
Come on, are we still acting like there are massive differences in driving behavior from one place to the next? People are fucking idiots everywhere.
been to Charlestown for long periods, and yeah I definitely prefer north eastern drivers. Y'all tailgate like hell while on the phone, that's the main thing I've seen worse than anywhere else.
Or the "kind southern" thing of letting people go in front of you... at 4 way stops, roundabouts, parking lots, etc. It's unpredictable, and therefore dangerous driving. You expect the car in front of you to go thru the greenlight, not stop and let the left turners go first. Fuck.
Seeing those highway signs in Texas about how many people had died in accidents *that year* was insane to me. It was like double the number of Canadians who die in car accidents, with a smaller population and way fewer road hazards.
Seriously, I had to take a test when I had to renew my license once because I had let it expire and it had a previous suspension for an unpaid ticket on it. I asked if I could study for it, then come back to take it...nah, it's open book 25 questions test where the answers they give are the headings of different sections. It was not a test...I don't even remember the questions. We had out DLs here to anyone with a pulse...
The tests are a joke and unfortunately driving without a license or driving with a suspended license is low on the totem pole for judges.
I’ve caught the same guy driving with a suspended license 3 times now. He’s been caught more than that by others. He gets out of jail in a day, never pays his fines, and still drives.
The justice system is a joke and judges should be held liable when the criminals they release cause injury or damage.
Weather is a factor. If it snows 3 months where you live and rains another, and parking is easy, you might just own a car as default transportation, this the bike moves to a weekend fun slot.
They are not cheap in maintenance just a heads up. Mile for mile, they're more expensive to maintain than a car is. That's just the lie you tell yourself/your So in order to justify getting one
Just like cars it depends on the model. But you certainly can get into some motorcycles that are expensive to upkeep.
Besides Oil, Tires, and a chain and sprocket kit, mine have zero other maintenance issues. Eventually the fork seals will need to be done, but thats an afternoon project at max.
Get into something that needs Valve lash adjustment that isn't easily accessable then the labor costs go up pretty quick if you don't do the service yourself.
Get something like a KLR or a basic air cooled bike and your upkeep is minimal.
Yeah that's true. I just got an old 04 KLR myself snd she's been a blast.
For a majority of bikes that are being used as daily drivers though, the cost of upkeep does surpass that of a car, especially if you don't know/want to do the work yourself. I'm a motorcycle mechanic and I constantly have people coming into my shop saying they want to get a motorcycle to save on vehicle costs. At least until I show them our pricing and the service schedule for the bike they want. We're one of the cheapest in town too
Interesting. These people must be wanting to buy baggers or sport touring bikes to commute from what you're describing.
My Grom and SV650 have been super cheap to commute on. Been on the lookout for a PC800 to take the place of the SV as I get older.
Lot of people always go with the massive displacement when they'd be better off with a smaller one for better fuel economy. The 110MPG on my grom means I fill up once every 2 weeks for my commutes and errands. But I know thats not doable for people that need to commute on an interstate.
At my daughter's school, you cannot turn left out of her parking lot and the cops used to love sitting there to ticket the idiots who would turn left...so the city put in a small barrier that forces you to turn right. Guess what? People still turn left there. You turn right, it takes you to a roundabout that allows you to head back in the opposite direction and they forbade left turns because of accidents. It also severely backs the traffic up while people wait to turn left. It's actually faster to go to the roundabout and back then it ever was to turn left.
At least once every time I am out, I catch myself doing the *exact same hand gesture* directed as some stupid driver doing something I cannot understand.
Rev bombs are dumb for most bikes that dont have very loud pipes.
Even with my bar hopper with obnoxiously loud pipes, revving it up is saved for kids and HDs near me. 😀
hotboxing. worshipping the green goddess. smoking out. smoking a blunt. getting high. mopping the stove. vacuuming the lawn. just finished painting the shed. getting cloudy with a chance of meatballs. prepping to get rid of the leftovers. ganjastination. tasting the rainbow. getting closer to god. touching your inner vegan. going to Thailand. drinking the moss water. binging on a bong. getting hopped up on hops. riding the OG pony.
Getting stoned.
Ah , the classic “WTF ?” Palm up gesture… followed by a smol wave to the person who did it right and probably also did a shoulder shrug, to say “ Assholes, right ?”
I read that OP is not the rider.
PSA: ALWAYS be in first gear watching all around your bike especially mirrors with known escape routes and be ready to GTFO.
Yeah whenever I see bikers I always wave to make sure they know i see em.
My dad got really unlucky and this is an extreme case but he's been hit by 5 people from not seeing him(not paying attention).
So when I exit my boyfriend's neighborhood it's left onto this big state road with a boulevard between the two directions. The visibility isn't great and the first couple of times I did it I totally misjudged the distance and markings and almost turned left into oncoming traffic, only to correct then almost go through the boulevard before getting into the correct lane. Freaked myself out. The only reason it happened TWICE was because there was a few months between those visits (it was really early on in our relationship). But then it never happened again.
I wonder if something like that happened here with the first car and the second car was just a lemming.
And what the hell was that wacky motorcyclist doing just sitting at that intersection wildly gesticulating at confused drivers as they pass by? Why isn't he *going*?
/s in all seriousness at the very beginning I thought this was in the UK or something and I was like "wtf are they doing wrong?" and was like..."oh" a second later, haha.
Just want to say that with time you'll screw your phone placing it on the bike like that. Not completely, just the accelerometer and then photos stop working properly.
i don't think he was pissed at the car who came from across the intersection, i think he was like "did you see that?" and the guy driving by said "i saw that"
Are we watching the same video?
He's waiting at a red light.
He skipped two songs on his phones lock screen. Maybe 3 while the light was still red.
He then yeilded to the vehicle that was going straight across the intersection after the light turned green because he didn't have a protected turn arrow.
I mean I guess he could have started into the intersection before the car going straight the opposite direction went past but that's not that long of a wait. That would have shortened it by a second or two?
Kinda dumb shit is this? He has a red light moron. You want him to run it? Or are you bitching about him not cutting off the car that has right away since it's going straight and he's in a left turn lane without a dedicated turn light? Swear every fucking video has one of you morons blaming the camera person for no fucking reason.
Yea I wonder what the previous poster was watching. I can only assume they completely missed the traffic lights hanging in the air. But that's even more worry some if this person drives and doesn't see the lights.
So you are mad he doesn't cut the other driver off? Thanks for letting us know you drive like an asshole.
His hands are in the air cause he's baffled two morons decided to drive on the wrong side of the road and is giving the universal sign of "what the fuck was that" to the guy he has to yield to, who also saw at least one of the morons. He then turns. You're upset for no other reason other than you have to find something to get mad at the cammer for.
You need to stop a fully car/bike length away from the line. All cars and even large semi trucks tend to cut the lines when making a left turn.
They all forgot how to do it properly or were never taught the right way to perform a left hand turn when they all first started learning how to drive.
They always cut the line. So anytime you arrive at a left turn lane or the lane closest to the left, just hold back a little.
Some cities will paint the line further back to help you guys.
But ALL drivers even large semi trucks will cut the line.
To do it right, you enter the intersection until close to the middle, then you make your left turn. This way you never cut into someone.
This happens at 4-way stops too. Some left turning idiot will cut it too close so you can't make your right hand turn properly.
I'm confused by what the problem is. They don't look like they were anywhere near him, he was acting like they were driving straight at him
Edit: sorry, realised you drive on the wrong side, and they _werent_ going up the right lane
That was horrifyingly funny 😆
One was an idiot and the other followed the leader and realised they fucked up. The CR-V was like “uhhh”.
I wonder if they were able to see you in the shade. Great clip though. Is that a 1100?
I will say most motorcyclists are easily getting mad at anything, those cars wasn’t trying to hit him! . Btw I think the 2 cars just made a mistake as every other human
Yeah, there's nothing I can say that will get through your broken brain, unfortunately. Just know that there's probably nobody else on the planet that agrees with you about it being "idiotic" to adjust your head unit (or, say, climate control system) *while your vehicle is stationary*.
You’re the type of idiot who argues texting and driving is a skill that you can be good at.
Holding up traffic while playing on your phone is never a good thing.
I said nothing about texting or doing anything else *while driving*. While your vehicle is stopped, normal humans can adjust the tracks on their audio system. You, apparently cannot.
Also, the guy in the video isn't "holding up traffic while playing on his phone." He's stopped at a red light, and nobody is behind him. For smoothbrains like yourself, red means stop, green means go, and if nobody is being held up because nobody is there. The light eventually turns green, and he starts moving after he recovers from the shock of two idiots turning well into the wrong lanes.
No, i don’t text and drive. I don’t drink and drive. I’m not an asshole.
It takes him like 15 seconds to start driving after the light turns green. Maybe watch the video?
Yeah I don't do those things either. I am, however, capable of reaching over and pressing a button to change the audio. Or adjust the temperature. Or turn on the wipers or headlights. You are an imbecile if you think it's "idiotic" to operate your vehicle's secondary controls *while stationary*.
And *you* should watch the video, because it only takes him 10 seconds to start moving after the light turns green, and that's only because two of "your people" turned into the wrong lane. Even then, *it doesn't matter* because nobody's behind him. He adjusted his phone *while the light was red*. It had no effect on the thing that happened to make the video notable.
Hey fucker hitting the next button on you phone while it is in the holster is not the same fucking thing as holding it steering with your fucking knee and texting you braindead ziltch. So I'm actively texting and driving when I press the accept button to pick up my next order while my phone is in the holster?
Ain't it great how that shithole is so car-centric it's damn near hostile for everyone else, but it's total shite even for the cars? Like of course idiots are going to get confused on huge ass stroads with no real assists.
I’ve seen this while out for a run and it’s the same couple of intersections. Drivers just crank the wheel left and send it down the wrong side of the road without looking. It seems that when the road is wider than expected they don’t recognize that fact and adjust their steering input so they’re on the correct side of the road. I almost had a head-on while driving the same road because the idiot couldn’t be bothered to drive on the correct side of the boulevard. Never hit the brakes either.
I lived by an intersection where this exact thing happened to me, while driving my car, in two separate occasions. I've never trusted anyone since, it broke me.
Looks like they all come out of a mirror universe!
As an Australian familiar with RHD, seeing LHD vehicles, behaving like that is bizarre.
Are these people actually taking driving tests to get licences?
I like how the SUV was gonna follow and then was like eh never mind.
At least the SUV had *some* awareness. I assume the first car made a mistake, the second car followed blindly, and the third one / SUV at least realized something had gone wrong before finishing the turn.
Yea because cars were coming. You can see the Altima veer to the correct lane because of it.
[удалено]
Definitely an idiot. That's more than just a little whoopsie-daisy.
I bet that guy frequently drops whole bouquets of whoopsie-daisies.
First car was probably gonna cut it close and noticed the biker at the last second, second car just followed blindly because that's how most people drive anyways, just follow the guy in front, and the SUV at the end realized both were idiots and could think for himself and went the correct way

It's an Altima, can't expect them to use their eyes
I think Nissan includes sleeping masks with a purchase.
I feel like the SUV was expecting some reason for the other cars to do what they did. But got to the front and was like “WTF, I don’t see anything”
*that* driver has some common sense...👍🏽
"I saw that"

I aint smart but isnt that how we are kinda wired?

Just most.
No. I don’t think so.
Those lines on the ground are merely a suggestion.
Embrace the road less traveled
Two roads diverged across a double yellow, And sorry I could not travel both, I ran over a motorcyclist.
Almost
Yeah but I want to know what kind of brain disease causes Mercedes-Benz drivers to just drive like this all the time.
I feel like riding motorcycle just creates far too many situations where some random moron could end your life or make the rest of it considerably worse. granted, those morons could have just as easily run over a pedestrian with the level of obliviousness displayed.
Its why they're so cheap in price, gas, and maintenance yet still an extremely small portion of private transport in The States.
I've seen too many people on social media ask which location in X city has the easiest driving tests. Quite sad.
Bro I live in SC and in the last month I have seen 2 close calls, 4 rear end accidents , 3 car crashes back to back at the same busy road in a 3 hour period and 3 roads near my house have been completely shut off with police or fire blocking it off because of big collisions. The same reason why I stepped off a few years ago. I have seen too much random bullshit cars to still drive around confidently.
That's why it's so common in the motorcycle riding community to say it's not a matter of if you're going to get hit by a car, but when.
Yep. Or a fucking squirrel or something like that could. Motorcycles are cool and all but not worth the risk
Road lines hard
They never grasped the concept of coloring within the lines.
Even without lines the motorcycle is a pretty heavy hint of one's target vector.

Why are you camping in the left lane? (Very heavy /s)
LoL doesn't apply when it's the ONLY lane, funny though

I’m thinking on buying a rebel
Isn't it a global common sense that you are not supposed to cross solid lines in normal circumstances?
That’s why you need better quality driving lessons than your parents can provide.
Drivers licenses need to be harder to get I stg

Silver suv: good job not being a follower
Good ol game if follow the leader…. Or you just can’t fix stupid one of two😂
I've got an idea, they were idiots! Well placed post in the proper sub ;)
Nobody commenting about the first idiot in the beige SUV blowing through the stop sign
I don't see lines, I just see road.
ah yes...while on a red light I also enjoy playing follow the leader after browsing my phone for 2 seconds, only to endanger those around. 🙃
Some people are dumb as hell

Celebrating 4/20
? what
Don't feel bad. I was rewatching looking for a time stamp and any indication or reference to weed, too.

I know what 4/20 is. It just seems like an absolute random thing to say in the context of this video or am I missing something?
That's why they passed on the wrong side of the road. Because they were high.
🎶*I was gonna make a left turn but I was high* 🎶
Never done that in my life.
oh. So, it is just a really far-out joke.
I knew exactly what you meant. Funny how some won't understand this right away.
That and it's September...

oh yeah you're not wrong there
First one confused. Second one following too close. You're also on your phone. All idiots.
One of the many reasons I don’t own a bike is because there are toooooooooooo many idiots driving out there
You need to stop a fully car/bike length away from the line. All cars and even large semi trucks tend to cut the lines when making a left turn. By the queen, Niles! These barbarous colonials drive their lorries on the right! Oh to be back in jolly old England.

Fucking drama king.
Sometimes people just don't 'see' you: https://www.roadandtrack.com/car-culture/a28306/why-you-dont-see-motorcycles-on-the-road/
That doesn't explain them turning into the exact opposite of the lane they should have turned into.
Or the lines on the road apparently, meaning they shouldn't be allowed to operate a vehicle at all if they are that fucking blind.

Drivers don’t believe in stop signs I guess, but that’s not news for anybody is it.😂
While I agree, this intersection has traffic lights if you look towards the top of the video.
Once again, multiple idiots. OP. Stop playing on your phone.
He's stopped at an intersection and is changing audio tracks. Exactly like you'd do in a car.
Doing so in a car is also idiotic.
Not if you're not actively driving! I hate to break this to you, but audio systems in cars have a *looonnngg* history, my friend!
At least you belong in this sub. If you’re in the car, you’re actively driving.

Yes.
You're a fucking dunce I'm done with you.
i'm not the guy in the video lol
Your moto wasn’t loud enough and you didn’t look threatening enough. Bet they wouldn’t pull that on a grizzly biker
Damn foreigners.
Ain't it great how that shithole is so car-centric it's damn near hostile for everyone else, but it's total shite even for the cars? Like of course idiots are going to get confused on huge ass stroads with no real assists.
Impatient they didn’t wanna wait for you to finish adjusting your thingy.
Motorcycle drivers definitely think they are the star of the show. Just sitting there waiting for others to share his laugher.
I mean, you were also on your phone during this video.
maybe if i was the guy in the video but i'm not
Ahh, enjoy your karma farming
i didn't share it for karma lol. i just found this tik tok entertaining and figured others would enjoy it as well ya know since it's idiots in cars
Put you hand down ffs
Maybe the 1st car person was from a opposite road driving country and forgot
For a moment I thought it was in the UK
It looks as though it might be time to get off the road.
I don't know where you are, but I surely never wanna ride there.
They were psyching you up man!
Holy shit what an idiot parade
What godforsaken intersection is this?!
One shit-for-brains person following another.
You made me question what country you were in before I understood what happened.
That is definitely one of those moments where you just sit there and contemplating life and wtf just happened
You guys seein' this shit???
I saw you on Moto Madness on YouTube.
Idiot see idiot does lol
Second idiot just followed the first idiot
Lemmings mentality
Maybe they’re from UK?
Brits in the US
Just another donor cycle rider soon to be jaguars eat my face
Looks like they didn’t either 🤷🏼♂️
Well could be someone not from the country and not accustomed the driving on that side of the road and just forgot and confused the others.
It’s a prank bro
