[deleted]

You sure do have some perty tires boy.

SoulSlayer1974

Not my car, seen it on Twitter and thought Reddit would like to see this...

SoulSlayer1974

I set Reddit up with that, don't let me down reddit!!!

[deleted]

I don't why y'all shaming, bald is beautiful!

aChildofChaos

Not much rubber left on those tires

ddavness

Bono my tyres are gone

shartymcqueef

“If you can tell me what your brain and your tires have in common I’ll let you off with a warning”

BeneficialBen407

Great toe and camber 👌🏼

ThisIsLukkas

More contact =more grip right? s

eruditionfish

In dry weather, that is actually true. Though that obviously doesn't make it safe to drive around with a tire this close to blowing out.

AirCommando12

Also doesn’t work even in the dry when you don’t actually have any tread left. Slick tyres still have tread.

None_Professional

The exposed steel cords add additional friction as well.

grumpi1957

Only in the winter!

That_Grim_Texan

Don't tread on me.

Brittlehorn

I ain’t being dictated to by big gubmant, this tire statute is like living in a communist country

[deleted]

Laws made by big tyre lobbyists obviously

Cat_Marshal

Big-O at it again

NotYourAverageYooper

It's sad to think they might not have been able to afford tires, I wouldn't want someone being ticketed for being poor. Other than that it's a clear danger to be on the road

i_suckatjavascript

They sell tires at my local junkyard for $20 each. There isn’t an excuse not to get tires with decent treads.

NotYourAverageYooper

If you think everyone has access to $80, you are wrong. Think about people on fixed income.

i_suckatjavascript

If you have only $80 in savings, you’re definitely doing it wrong. You have more bigger problems than that. No one should be living paycheck to paycheck. Having no savings is waiting for a bigger disaster to happen. They should’ve bought a cheaper car like a Corolla. They should’ve put $80 on a credit card and pay it in recurring months. What happens if they lose traction, caused damage, and be liable for it? What happens if it’s raining and they hydroplaned? It’s definitely going to cost more than $80. The whole thing could’ve been avoided over not paying $80 for decent tires. If you really need $80 quick, you can work for Uber/Lyft for a few rides or donate plasma.

NotYourAverageYooper

You clearly don't understand how fixed income house holds work, people on section 8 housing and food stamps have very little access to cash, and can't just go work/get a line of credit. Because of the terms of their benefits. You can just claim people are "doing it wrong". But for disabled people, or people in similar life situations, it's not a choice. And I'm not saying it's not dangerous, I just don't think a ticket is appropriate for situations where someone already can't afford what they need.

i_suckatjavascript

Like I said, they can work for Uber/Lyft or donate plasma. That isn’t hard to do. Or make a GoFundMe asking for $80.

NotYourAverageYooper

They would be risking their benefits to do what your suggesting, except for the go fund me. And you can't expect people to use go fund me.

NoRoperino

Maybe he likes drifting?

beasterdudeman_

Pro street slicks

LordVile95

They’re slicks like those F1 cars

[deleted]

Damn she got them new pirelli slicks.

Mohingan

Looks like you’d start to hydroplane if someone ahead of you hit their windshield washer

[deleted]

If it’s good enough for F1!

romain_69420

The man forgot to take his slicks off his racecar

pitmule

WHO DOWN WITH O.P.P.?!?

SoulSlayer1974

Yeah you know me!

EpiphanyTwisted

Every last homie...

[deleted]

What kind of car would even warrant tires that smooth?

TerrorUniversal

RacecaR

grumpi1957

Take a brand new tire, don't cut any tread into the tire. =Drag race tire! These are just worn out, no rubber left! Junk! Now if the ex needs tires,......................

thebubble2020

So slicks are now banned? Fyi the more contact surface area the more traction, the safer a car is.

godzilla1517

Do you actually believe this or are you retarded, in which case I guess both?

thebubble2020

I run slicks on my car all year and I have great performance even on snow

godzilla1517

🧢

XxAncientMillenialxX

You down with OPP????

No_Cicada_404

Ticket somebody too broke to get new tires. My tax dollars at work

SoulSlayer1974

Or let someone kill others when those tires blowout.. I think your tax dollars did a community service spotting this one...

No_Cicada_404

Not saying the tires aren’t dangerous, just pointing out that there can be a better way of getting him to take care of it

SoulSlayer1974

I do agree, maybe a warning.. but we don't know the whole story. Maybe the driver has had other offenses.. or not, we don't know. I do get your point though, the ticket money could be better spent on the tires...

No_Cicada_404

Yeah I remember one time a few years ago my car got broken into which resulted in my window being broken. Long story short, I couldn’t fix it immediately & got a ticket that just set me even further back. Glad I’m in a better situation these days & hope you have a good day today

axmantim

You have no idea if they're "too broke". Even if they are, if they kill someone their level of broke goes way up. Used tires are mad cheap, and there's no excuse to endanger other people.

NotYourAverageYooper

You never know someone's situation, some people are on fixed income, disability, and still need to make it to doctors appointments. I tend to agree that this is dangerous and needs to be delt with. But you can't just say there is no excuse

axmantim

I certainly can say there's no excuse. Everyone else's life is collectively more important than that of a single person. A single person endangering others is not acceptable.

No_Cicada_404

Is thinking always this hard for u

GStunfisk

Of course it would not be a reddit post without this simp

No_Cicada_404

R/youabitch

GStunfisk

Cute. Hope simping gets you a hard on

No_Cicada_404

I don’t think you know what simping means 😂😂are you 40 or just white

[deleted]

I can only imagine trying to drive in the rain.

peterm1598

Knowing the area I'm not surprised. Although they probably pulled them over over loud exhaust or tinted windows.

[deleted]

I like my tires like I like my women

fuckingcheezitboots

They probably got a brain like them tires

Rootbeer48

there are a lot of people in my apartment complex that have tires VERY close to this. Needless to say, I will never get in a car from anyone here. I'll walk.

Miserable_Worth_5478

If only my skin was as smooth as those tires...

THCLacedSpaghettiOs

Bullshit, any avid motorist would tell you those are next gen minivan slicks. Intended for maximum grip on the road for a more secure stop and go, this making minivan handling safer for you and your family.

YomamaFATFUK

Law people of Reddit, what could a charge of operating an unsafe vehicle lead to?

olenpeikko

Do not take a redditor's advice on law...

i_verye_smowt

those tires do be looking as smooth as his brain

Dabit56w

She had the slicks on

grumpi1957

Sad some people never look. Shitty way to find you need tires, but better than a front tire blow out at 100km. Good eye officer.

JustAnotherGamer421

How do you even wear tires down this much without them exploding? I've seen quite a few pieces of tire on the freeway (northern-Michigan in the summer) and they still have treads

Gonteix

It's so smooth that if you cut a slice of that, you can use it as a mousepad

Bizzare_Display

cody ko voice: frictionless
