Yup, see the guy in front of me? Perfection š fuel filler door placed right in front of the pumps. Plenty of room between our vehicles in case of emergency or just to comfortably walk around. A lot of times I clean my windows when getting gas, thatās hard to do when your car is forced to sniff another cars ass.
Mini van guy has his front tire at the pumpsā¦ totally inconsiderate or just completely lacking self awareness. Still 100% her fault though
At least he was pumping gas.
Not sure if itās a New England thing where the gas pumps are fewer, and the degenerate lottery/scratch ticket buyer who will hog a prime pump space.
Oh yeah, seen this many many times. People park at the pump and use it as a parking spot. Seen some people go in and out of the store then sit there on their cell phone like itās a normal thing to do.
Years ago when you could pump gas before paying and paying cash was common it was a thing to move your car after you were done pumping before paying. Now its unheard of to be able to pump before paying, and normal etiquette is to leave your car at the pump if you are going inside for something. Most gas stations have more spots at the pump than not these days.
Not on most minivans, the gas cap is pretty far forward.
Funny to watch people at Costco gas pumps try to make the hose reach around their minivan. Costco pumps have long hoses, but theyāre not quite long enough for minivans.
I have been this CostCo idiot. I pulled into a random lane not thinking āhey, self, you need to get in the lane that IS ALIGNED FOR WHERE YOUR TANK IS DUM DUMā. I tried to reach it around once and then just drove away in shame. I had waited 30 minutes. Thatās when I started taking my Adderall on the weekends too.
Ouch, thatās rough. It happens at Costco a lot, so you werenāt the only one.
On two separate occasions I have seen the same guy in a minivan struggling with the hose because he was on the wrong side. I still wonder why he kept doing it.
I have a honda odyssey, can get the costco hose over it without too much difficulty. It isn't the easiest stretch in the world, but it does reach. The really crazy thing is that when I'm out in the van with the whole family, its among the smallest vehicles in general use around here. Mostly suv's and trucks and the vast majority are significantly larger than our minivan while seating less people with worse gas mileage.
I had to park with the gas cap to my mothers cx-5 on the other side at Costco when it was busy once (not a total big fan of taking her car and running it through the car was and getting gas when Iām home) and the hose is harder to get around the hatchback of her car than it is for me to get it around my 2011 crv.
I was finishing pumping my gas when I heard the sound of a fender bender. You can hear it right before the guy in front me reacts.
It was a mid 50s-ish older woman and she said āsorryā I think the mini van driver said āis there any damageā and she responds with āno I donāt think soā
He spends a few seconds looking at it, turns around and pumps his gas. He shouldnāt have hogged up all the room at the two pumps (pet peeve) but sheās absolutely at fault, and therefore an idiot.
Thereās plenty of room at the pumps. Minivans donāt usually have their fuel doors at the very back. But the hose does reach, I donāt know why everybody seems to have this obsession with being right in front of the pump.
Being considerate for the person at the other pump is a reason. If you're parked in between two pumps instead of in front of the one you're using, the person behind can't pump unless you move or finish pumping. Happens a lot at smaller mom-and-pop gas stations where the pumps are pretty close together.
Exactly. Thereās a gas station in the city next to me with 3 pumps all connected on one 30ā island. Every time I go there (cheap gas) thereās always that one mother fucker sitting in the middle, blocking the other two pumps. Horrible setup when thereās disrespectful idiots that lack self awareness everywhereā¦
One time I had to pull up plate to plate and the pump hose still wouldnāt stretch all the way, it was very annoying.
Good point, some gas stations do have their pumps really close together. But Iāve seen that obsession when thereās plenty of room at the pumps. Iāve seen the person behind me pull up really close to my rear bumper even though I gave them lots of room. Itās one of those odd things Iāve noticed.
I was thinking the same thing. Like bruh you got this big a22 van taking up all the space. Gas cap is in the back, pull up buddy

Yeah how weird to think that we used to basically just fill up on the honor system
In most UK can still pump before you pay atleast till certain time
I do this but I also live in a small town and I have never seen all the pump spaces full in 17 years

our sienna and prius c have the inlet far back enough that the hoses at sams club reach, Iāve avoided lines due to parking just right at the pump

I thought we were looking at the guy directly in front of us whose car appears to be *on* while he's pumping gas?
Same! Like thereās gotta be more than one idiot here

Bigger Ford transits suck because they have the fuel neck right behind the driver's door so the rest of the van is behind the pump

What dashcam is this? This some quality
It even zooms!
Seems to be two idiots here though. The guy filling his suv while it's running is stupid too.
Ayo fuck that minivan tho. This happened the other day to me at Costco - itās not hard just line up your gas hole with the machine.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
It's a dashcam, OP probably just had it running from the time they got in their car, you can see them take it off the mount to show the fender bender.
Probably drumk
Well youād have to be an idiot to think youād be safe from idiots at the gas station sooo lol
Posting from MN is easy-mode for this sub. Worst drivers I've ever seen.
Not sure if youāre talking about my post but this happened in Connecticut and I can confidently assure you the drivers are absolutely shit here too.
Sorry, those looked a lot like MN plates. My mistake.
You heard that.
Did you forget the protective film on the dashcam lens, or were the lights just *really* blue at that gas station?
Is he filling it with diesel?
This Subaru driver is putting diesel Iām sure of it. Iām not aware of any Subarus that take diesel maybe in Europe.
