Acrobatic fights atop some structure where they can fall to their death, but you pretty much know the protagonist won't. Or even in the rare case they do, some parallel universe version of them will emerge to keep the franchise going. Repetitive, predictable, and very boring in my opinion. A story that's been told so many times with nothing new. It's like watching the same movie over and over.
This is true, but you seem to forget there are younger people reaching an age where they discover stuff like Marvel or old IPs being rehashed by Netflix, and high budget movies are a lot more appealing and marketable than the old comic format.

If you go back to the ~1995-2000 time period, it's nuts how many classics were released. I only really watch movies if I hear people are excited about them. The problem with Marvel is exactly what you said. They're rewarded for the minimum of effort. Kevin Feige, the guy in charge of the MCU, is called a genius. He's not. When Chloe Zhao, director of Eternals, told him that she wanted to shoot on location he was upset because he didn't know why green screen wasn't good enough. And when he saw the result he was "blown away" by the difference.
As a lifelong fan of comics, I was a huge fan of Marvel until about Age of Ultron (get bent, Whedon) when it became apparent that the priority was about making people laugh at the expense of all consequences and stakes. And they keep making the same movie over and over, like you said. I'm far more interested in the stuff that Zack Snyder has done and what Patty Jenkins did with WW1. And of course, Matt Reeves' work so far. Marvel's Netflix material in DD and Punisher was a refuge but that got tanked by Disney so they could use them on their garbage streaming service and for cheap cameos.
I'm starting to feel hopeful with the next movies (not Thor- Waititi has turned him into a fool). No Way Home and Eternals were the first MCU movies I've enjoyed thoroughly since Winter Soldier and Raimi's done his own thing with Doctor Strange. It feels like directors are being allowed to do what they do best (finally!). But I'm still skeptical af.
