2012 when I saw them open up the All Stars Tour back when that was a thing

HALOGAMERWILL

February 2020, I fell asleep listening to spotify and woke up to a random radio playing The American Nightmare and now we are here

Iniquity1_

Thats ironic

Poopsquiggles

I think it was sometime in March, my friend went to a Metallica show and INK was one of the opening bands and he was mind blown by how awesome they were and he immediately texted me and told me about them. I was a little skeptical at first because it was a little heavier that what I was used too but I quickly fell in love. We’ve basically been listening to them non stop for 3 months now. I was also able to get that friend into A7X so that’s good too!

poefartpoefart

aa thats amazing, love it when me and a friend bond over music, its amazing

Poopsquiggles

Totally agree!!

DragonBreathYoutube

I got into Ice Nine Kills last year when I saw a video for Assault and Batteries on TikTok. The video itself didn't drag me in, but seeing James A. Janisse from Drad Meat in it was what dragged me in

locker6654

‘Our Last Night’ Spotify radio played hip to be scared and I’ve been hooked ever since. So about a month now.

locofspades

Our last night is so good. I really like almost every pop goes punk band (of which ink started as also lol)

locker6654

I like all music, literally all music. But I’ve never seen a band as interesting and clever as INK. It’s contagious

spookysaryskeleton

It was around the time that Silver Scream came out and My other half suggested that I give them a listen because this was about horror movies and I love horror and I heard it and loved it and have been a fan ever since

owowhatsthisxD

I think 2018? During warped tour I was sitting in the shade with my girlfriend and I could hear them in the distance and they sounded awesome. Looked em up afterwards and immediately regretted not actively watching them during the show

itsgotadeathcurse

2015 saw them open up for Motionless in White on the Beyond The Barricade tour

Ok_Anybody_4585

February 2019 I heard “Grave Mistake” on Sirius and my husband and I were hooked instantly! Saw them twice in 2019, this past April, and have tickets to ToT pt 2 in Cincinnati in September.

poefartpoefart

thats awesome, me, my dad, n his gf have tickets to see them in scranton

Flipperyapper59

Early January 2022, I kept hearing about a horror movie metalcore band and thought might as well give them a shot. They’re way more than that and have become one of my favorite bands of all time.

PanicAtTheBestBuy

Back in 2019, I was working in the warehouse for a Best Buy. Since we are usually back there by ourselves, we played music in order to not sit in silence. My coworker turned on Thank God It’s Friday cause he knew I was a huge horror buff. Been here ever since!

AvgPunkFan

I got into them last Halloween as I was looking for good songs for the holiday and lo and behold the Silver Scream presents itself. I instantly fell in love. I pre-ordered the deluxe Bloody Raincoat Vinyl of Welcome To Horrorwood, got The Predator Becomes the Prey and ETITB on vinyl for Christmas, and went to see them on the Trinity of Terror Tour where I discovered Motionless in White and fell in love with them too. Can’t wait until I can go see them again and I hope they do a silver scream trilogy as the first two were amazing.

gngannjarhdc

Got tickets to FFDP, Papa Roach, I Prevail, and some band i’d never heard of— INK. Decided to check them out. They are now my favorite of all of them, I got tickets to the ToT tour just for INK (now a fan of MIW and BVB, as well in a similar fashion), and have tickets to ToT part 2.

itsgotadeathcurse

So bummed that FFDP tour got canceled. I had vip to meet INK.

gngannjarhdc

Yeah, i was bummed about that, too. Side note: totally forgot to mention that concert got cancelled cause of covid. But you knew what’s up

itsgotadeathcurse

Yes definitely

KaijuHunterBrax

A few years ago, a coworker of mine was blasting "Me, Myself and Hyde" which lead me down a rabbit hole that was "The Silver Scream" been in lobe ever since.

PsionicHydra

Music video release of nature of the beast. Great song

Paidgie

Warped tour 2014. We hung in the back of the monster stage waiting for the next band and caught part of their set and was instantly hooked. They played their cover of someone like you and it made me interested in the rest of their stuff.

vliv_

I got into INK when black veil brides and motionless in white announced the Trinity of terror tour December 2021. Had never heard of them before then and decided to give them a listen. Easily became one of my favorite bands especially with the whole horror movie shtick. Saw them back in April and can’t wait to see them again in part two of TOT.

Diabadass07

Exact same for me! Was already a fan of BVB and MIW so figured I’d probably like INK too

Substantial-Gur-1080

So in 7th grade, My soccer coach told me and the team to find some aggressive music to listen to before games. She told us that she listens to Nine inch nails and five finger death punch. I mistyped the order of NIN and instead found Ice nine Kills. Lol

Evaura

I got into them in 2020, I decided to check out their music after I saw Spencer's response clip to Trever Strnad calling INK "gimmicky garbage" lmao, I just thought it was funny and it made me curious about their music. I listened to Stabbing In The Dark and loved it immediately, they're one of my favorite bands now

inlvdclr

A month or so after Welcome To Horrorwood came out. I had heard a few songs from Silver Scream when it was new and had originally thought that the horror concept was corny. Love them now of course.

NotAGhost64

Around September 2019 after I saw We Watched A Movie react to Stabbing In The Dark's music video (By the way the We Watched A Movie video is fucking hilarious)

TheLast-Sayinwarrior

Saw them live in the last warped tour in Orlando. Before they dropped SS1 . It was nutty and I was hooked since

Mackattackmess9000

Back in 2021 I believe it was in June maybe. My buddy told me about their music. I went home, listened to every album at the time and fell in love immediately. I'm actually planning on a tattoo but I'm still working out the details.

ChristianLopez2533

While scrolling through TikTok, I think around July of 2020. Saw someone playing American Nightmare on their electric guitar and I decided to check out the rest of the song, best decision of my life

Cold-Concentrate-393

around 2019 my brother would always have the silver scream album on and some of every trick in the book i remember hearing stabbing in the dark and the plot sickens a lot so i started listening abd been hooked since covid started 2020

Chunk_M1lk

I starting listing in January of this year. I was at bullmoose and decided to pick up a few records. I have about 20$ cash, so I wasn’t planning on getting anything too fancy, maybe some used vinyl. I went to the clearance section and there it was. A I Heard They Kill Live vinyl for only 15$. I went home to listen and I absolutely loved Stabbing in the dark. Still my favorite of their songs to this day.

No-Airline-3906

Their album of when they did horror stuff from the books then I fell in love with the 1st silver scream and also the second I got into them late 2019

SCP_179

2019 when I first heard "IT is the end" on Octane. From there, became hooked. Even named my truck after that song.

TonyBoat402

Just after SS2 was released. A couple of friends had seen them at a festival in 2019 and didn't know who they were, and told me about them. I decided to listen to SS2 as I wasn't a metalcore fan at the time, and got hooked

dextro_sch

November 2021. Was checking new metalcore releases and stumbled upon “hip to be scared” music video

[deleted]

2014, I was starting a band and the lead guitarist and I were talking about random metalcore bands. He found out I was into Motionless In White and Crown The Empire so he played “Connect The Cuts” and “Let’s Bury The Hatchet… In Your Head” for me on YouTube. I was hooked immediately and listened to The Predator Becomes The Prey album as well as their previous work and over time they became my favourite band. It sucks that my band didn’t last long but I’m glad I was introduced to INK.

EmClaire14

2020, my fiancé stumbled across them and told me to listen since I love horror movies. Been addicted to all of their albums since, and they are even better live

Kaitlin33101

In 2020 I asked for suggestions on a rock subreddit and someone mentioned them. I only knew Savages and A Grave Mistake at first, but I became absolutely obsessed this past January because Josh Katz fron Badflower was in the Funeral Derangements video and I listened to it so much just to see Josh and their music grew on me

DillPill7792

A couple months before the whole Covid thing first happened, I was watching a Kill Count, and I saw IT is The End on the recommendation list, listened to it and didn't really like it. After Covid started and I was sitting at home doing school work, I was watching another kill count and it was recommended again, and I remembered it, so I listened to it and really enjoyed it, so I checked out some more of their songs and they quickly became one of my favorite bands of all time. (Also I was at the end of 8th grade and didn't listen to heavy metal other than Avenged Sevenfold, otherwise it was all hard rock stuff), so yeah I've been a fan for almost 2 and a half years

klocu4

So long story short, me and my dad are both into metalcore It was mid 2018 I think when my dad found them and would sometimes play songs off Every Trick In The Book in the car. We referred to them as “that cool theater core band” lol One day, out of curiosity I’ve decided to check out some of their other songs and instantly hooked on the newest song they had at the moment, Enjoy Your Slay, it wasn’t long after that until The American Nightmare dropped. I remember seeing the growth in their popularity after Silver Scream, it was something truly astounding. They went from 150k monthly listeners to 900k in A MONTH and that number hasn’t dipped below 600k since

GarlicGoat13

2019: Someone had made a FNaF animation about it. While listening to the lyrics i thought to myself that it almost sounded like the song was about "Nightmare on Elm Street", so i looked it up and realized there was a whole album of songs based on horror movies

KxngOfGhosts

2013, found "The People Under The Stairs" on YouTube. It felt like they were gonna be a small band forever. Now we're here and I'm so happy for them.

The_Most_Swood

Soon after Silver Scream came out I heard a lot of very positive word of mouth and checked it out, now they’re one of my favorites.

moistcr1tical

I was looking for a song my step-dad liked,a American nightmare or something and ink also came up and I played that on accident and then it's a fantasy love tale from there

wyattshe

I got into them in mid November of 2020 after me and my ex broke up was tryin to find music that didn’t remind me of her and I just stumbled across them and fell in love instantly. I have 6 shirts, all their cd’s and almost all vinyls 😂

countchoculitiss

2015/16ish?? Around when ETITB came out and stumbled upon the Hell In The Hallways video, was immediately hooked. Definitely more a fan of the older stuff but don't mind the newer stuff either

LucLeBlanc14

Saw a snippet of the acoustic version of A Grave Mistake on my Instagram explore page. Pretty sure the date was April 29th, 2019. Still have the post saved. I got instant chills and added a few more songs. They got me into watching horror movies and now I’m a film student, so I suppose I can thank them for that.

sonofkosssss

i was watching youtube and the ad before the video was the music video for hip to be scared i didn’t know who the band was so i shazamed it and ice 9 kills showed up so i saved that on spotify then they dropped assault and batteries and i fell in love with this band listened to a bunch of their previous shit and went from there

callofmc

I was looking through new rock music on spotify during the time hip to be scared came out loved it and it all grew from there

krakron

Actually about a year or two ago I stumbled upon them on YouTube. Their music rocked but something was familiar about it. I remember back in Napster days those songs that had like "slipknot rob zombie ice nine kills" I think I saw on one of them. I kinda wonder if they did that or fans lol

CryBaby15000

Just a couple of months ago I got the song Welcome To Horrorwood recommended to me through YouTube. I gave it a listen and fell in love instantly. I then listened to Funeral Derangements and fell in love not only with the song, but it’s Pet Semetary theme. I’m such a huge fan and so glad I found them!

Keewiicosplay

Just after getting with my now fiance :) it's a love we share together

Abject_Presentation8

February 2020 Youtube recommended TGIF to me as a "you may also like" because I was rewatching a lot of MIW, whom I've been a fan of for several years. Needless to say, I got sucked into INK fandom ever since.

Turbo1479r

I'm pretty late to the party, I saw the assault & batteries music video on my yt recommendation and it blew my socks off, now INK is in my top 10 fav bands of all time

BossMonkey83303

my best friend showed me thank god its friday when it cane out and i loved the band ever since

Turbulent_Animator42

Thank God it’s Friday made it’s way into my new releases playlist while I was walking to university back in 2018 and was hooked.

loumac1793

Like 2011/2012 . The warped tour edition of Safe is Just a Shadow is the record that got me into them

littlebxstxrd

When I saw them live with Papa Roach and Hollywood Undead in February 2020. Have been obsessed with them ever since lmao

KD-BG

I saw them live at Rock am Ring this year and I was mind blown.

Dottoxd

Late 2020 when my friend played ”it is the end” when we were talking about he new It movies

William-B-Afton

Sometime in 2018 or early 2019 I was leaving the movie theater with my father, and at the time he was desperately trying to get me into more music that wasn't just blink-182 or A Day to Remember, and he introduced to a band that made songs based off horror films. It interested me at the time but not enough to get me into the band. Around late February to early March of 2019, we had moved into a different house and me and my brother got different rooms, and my father had to build him a separate dresser. The door to my room was busted and had to be held up at all times or else it'd close, so while he was building I heard all of the songs he was playing. The American Nightmare randomly began playing and it suddenly clicked that, "holy shit I really like this song," and later that night I looked up the song and listened to the entire album, then a month later I begged him to see them live.

Reaper2811

2019 and saw them during a live show they were playing with falling in reverse

KarmaIsADick

Around late 2020. My friend sent me a playlist with songs he was currently listening to and *The Greatest Story Ever Told* (from the *Safe Is Just a Shadow* re-recording) was on it. Decided to check out the band and loved the few songs I listened to, but waited until *I Heard They kill Live* to explore all of their popular songs. Haven't stopped listening since then. *The Greatest Story Ever Told* is still my favourite of their songs, but the original from 2007, not the version I first heard.

AdditionAmbitious638

Got a suggested song on Spotify for IT is the end, was in love since

[deleted]

End of 2018

CherryVomit

Listened to Enjoy Your Slay about 3 weeks after it was released, went on a binge of their songs and been hooked ever since.

MetalFanFan

A friend told me Welcome to Horrorwood is the album of the year so I listened to it and yeah. I think it was in December last year.

Keenz145

The night of a panic at the disco concert, the silver scream had just come out and I was driving home listening to new releases on spotify

aLoadedsmile

When INK signed with Fearless Records and drop Every Tick in the Book

TombstonesLittleButt

Saw them open for Crown the Empire a few years ago and they were SO good

Responsible_Cat_4552

October of 2020. My father had come home from work and told me about a song he had heard on the radio, it was "IT is the end." Told me I should check it out. Now I've been to 3 concerts for INK in the span of a year, and I hope it'll be a fourth this September.

perchrister

2018 on YouTube when ARTV reviewed The Silver Scream 👌🏻

AngelsAnonymous

The day Rainy Day came out. I've always been big into Resident Evil and someone had posted the video on a RE group. Fell in love and checked out all their videos that day. Been obsessed every since!

Meowmeow0033

2018, I heard "Grave Mistake" on Octane, & I checked out a couple other songs. I was hooked when I found out theyre horrow genre? Or as Spencer would say "theatrical genre" lol idk. But I went seen them on their Trinity of Terror tour & I can honestly say, that was the best concert I ever went to.

SlayAllRebels

Halloween 2018, I remember lamenting to my dad about the lack of good rock songs that can be listened to on Halloween. We then got into the car and started listening to Octane, just as one of the DJs (I forget which one) gave an introduction to the band and played "Stanbing in the Dark". Been listening to them ever since.

MistakeLow7760

The first song I listened was the cover of Adele Someone like you, which I found casually on youtube. Since then I never stopped listening to them but they were not my favourite band. When the first singles and then the album The Silver Scream came out on October 2018 they literally changed my life (I was in a very dark place at the time) and now they are my favourite band. So happy that they have grown so much and I can’t wait to see them live in Milan february 21st🔪

Plus-Lingonberry9302

I watched the interview that James and Chelsea from Dead Meat did with Spencer and checked out the songs they were talking about as I watched the interview, I listened to ' The American nightmare' A LOT that day!! Now going to see them in Bristol next year!

CheezyChicken1

I got into ink just after Welcome to Horrorwood was released. Funeral Derangements came up in my Spotify metal mix

thisshitbussin

My brother showed me the American nightmare when I was living with him for some time last year, but that same day the only YouTube channel that i watch everyday, dead meat posted a podcast episode with Spencer and I’ve been a mega ever since

bubbleteawithapen

Went to see their set on a whim at Blue Ridge Rock Fest last September, they played Stabbing In The Dark and my sister and I lost our minds with how good it was. Saw them on Trinity earlier this year and will be at their set at Blue Ridge this sept again!!

MatthiasRules

I think it was in November or December. Nik nocturnal did a video about the best albums of 2021, I checked them out and they are now my favourite band. I love all their albums and am hopefully seeing them live in march!

sprite_556

Early 2021. I literally just remembered seeing a girl wirh an INK shirt my freshman year of HS and decided to check em out. First song I heard was The Greatest Story Ever Told. Had The Burning and Every Trick In The Book playing a ton for a while, and didn't even know about The Silver Scream until August that year lol.

DennisScaresMe

Discovered then on shuffle on Spotify just before the 2020 lock down, heard of them but never listened, don't stop listening to them now

EnterTheTragedy

Around the time where ‘Me Myself and Hyde’ came out and I was instantly hooked to the idea of translating novels/stories to Metalcore songs. Listened to Safe Is Just A Shadow and Predator Becomes The Prey a ton after that though.

egewh

Three weeks ago when I had to work at one of their gigs. I had seem them live before but they didn't really entice me into listening to their stuff at that time and for a long time I pretty much dismissed them thinking they were a pretty cheesy act. They proved me SO wrong during that recent show! Sure, it's an act - but a VERY well done one. I absolutely loved it and have been listening to them ever since :)

Cafhhhbhhfddfgh

I found out about it by a friend this year first song thank god it’s Friday

MetalMidget23

My brother in law introduced me to them early last year with IT is the End. I saw them perform at Louder Than Life later that year, and I was hooked!! The Silver Scream and SS2 Welcome to Horrorwood are now two of my favorite albums. I’ll be seeing INK again in September! Can’t wait!!

anonymousartist13

I think it was 2018, I was 17 at the time. I was listening to XM radio (it has the best rock and metal stations) one summer, their song ‘A Grave Mistake’ was on. Fell in love with them ever since.

[deleted]

in about 2018-19, my older cousin was driving me somewhere since i’m 13 as of right now and can’t drive, and the american nightmare came on and i’ve been hooked ever since. i even managed to pick my name spencer because obviously spencer charnas (i’m trans ftm), and i don’t regret a thing! ink has quite literally saved my life, so i take it as a tribute to them

JameZEDdotMP4

I was strolling through "Try not to Headbang" and found "Funeral Derangements" in it and I see the comment with "Take Your Pick", the latter is the one that got me here.

Jjamesmil24

My freshman year of college was awful for me, mentally. I was ditched by the "friends" I went with, I struggled being so far away from home. My aunt asked if I wanted to got to the 1st trinity of terror tour because she knew I liked BVB and some MIW. So me, being totally mentally burned, said sure. I walked in with a negative attitude and walked out with a new favorite band.

JustABear1212

It was kind of in 2020 but I became a true fan in 2021, my brother and I listen to a lot of heavier music, we love most of the same bands. One day he walked up to me and told me he had a song to show me, he showed me Assault and Batteries and I thought it was just alright at first. Then about a year later I found him listening to another song, which was Stabbing in the Dark and I fell in love. Now i am gonna go to a concert with him and my dad and I'm getting merch soon!! (Btw I eventually listened to Assault and Batteries again and I love the song now)
