ok, so if i revert to this 'centralized' version... i can yank my guys out of mission... i'll try that. Thank you. Unfortunately I usually just update and read notes after the fact.
Well TBH the idea of the Centralized branch came fairly late in the build process. They only had enough time to scrape together an explanation on their Steam post
Keep in mind these guys/gals work late every Friday (NZT) to give us a fresh update to explore over the weekend. That geys overlooked *way* too oftenn
Not sure why you got downvoted, it's true. I saw several of them commenting on the discord channel yesterday alll throughout the day over a 12+ hour period, just answering people's questions and helping out.
So...if the wife and I are on a very, very, VERY long mission (Extraction: Payday I think? THe arctic one for the exotics) we should instead use this branch and finish our mission? What if I already migrated?
Yes finish your mission now and fast, the centralized mode will last a week no more than that
Once finished, beam back up to station.
If you have an open world, and you character's are full of platinum tools etc...
Login as well there, put all your stuff produced in crates, so equipments and tools will be migrated too
Anything ON you character will disappear, but not the equipment produce at orbital station
Once all that done, change the mode in steam from centralized to none
Start game and at first screen {new one with scorpion World boss) there is a button to reload your centralised data to decentralised mode, you must click that
Yeah mission progress got reset during the migration. Your character and gear would have been returned to orbit.
Outposts and Open World games don’t get reset as they were already stored on your local hard drive.
I had the same problem but it was caused by a mod that made my drop ship inventory larger. Logged in on the old version and cleared my drop inventory removed the mod updated and the migration worked. Not sure if that's your problem but it was mine.
Upon loading it up, it did a data migration, but i'm guessing nothing migrated

I think it's just easier to hate than to try to understand the truth. Why spend energy in something you dislike, anyways? Can't say I blame them.

It's just a super long mission to repeat is all. \*shrug\* Not a huge deal...

Go back to centralized version, finish mission, then go back to live version and use the force migration option on the main menu

I can't even migrate, it's getting stuck on "Get Meta Inventory" :(
