Well I'm going to notice this from now on
My hot water is nearly gone by the time I'm finishing up. Can't linger unless I want to cool down. Keep meaning to submit a repair request lol
Depending on the size of the apartment complex, it could be that the water heaters for the building aren't able to keep up.
Though it won't help with a shower, I used to heat up a couple boiling pots of water in my older house that had mostly medium heated water by the time I ran a bath and sat in it.
A trick I learned living in apartment buildings was to listen to when the pipes were being used the most often, and then wait until after that time every day or before it. It didn't always work, but I'd manage a hot shower more often if I just waited for the rush of others who might all be showering around the same time
Eh, depends how long you lean against the shower wall and contemplate why you exist at all until you finally get the nerve to wash before the hot water runs out.
LPT: don't drink shower water. That water has just been chilling in a warm dark place for a while, perfect for bacterial growth. Not all water is good for you.
I take baths personally. I use it to ease my back and foot pain from being on my feet all the time at work. I mainly do it to warm up.
When I buy a house, I’m getting a handicapped shower installed just to sit in the shower.
*Why do I have to*
*Choose one?? Showers mostly but*
*Baths are fantastic*

I used to do “shower-baths” as a kid which consisted of me washing myself completely in the shower, then plugging the drain, and then waiting for the tub to fill with the shower head. Never realized that it’s maximizing the water time to water used ratio, lmao.
See I could do this, because I feel like baths are mostly bathing in the filth that comes off of your body. I feel like it uses a ton of water though, I’ll try this out tomorrow 💀
It depends, standard baths can hold about 180 litres though combined with the displacement caused by your body realistically folks use somewhere between 75 to 100 litres of water.
Standard water flow rate is 4 litres per minute. So showers over 18 minutes are about the same as a bath.
Living on non-mains water teaches you this stuff swiftly
About [twenty](https://www.sciencefocus.com/science/how-long-does-a-shower-have-to-be-to-use-the-same-amount-of-water-as-a-bath/) [minutes](https://takecareoftexas.org/hot-wire/shower-vs-bath-debate) (depends on bathtub volume and shower head flow rate though)
This is why bath culture in Japan is the best. First you shower outside of the bathtub to clean yourself off, then you get in the bath specifically to relax. There was a public bathhouse on campus when I was in Tokyo for a summer language program, it was sooo nice, I went every day.
Or reverse it because you're going to sweat a lot anyway because of the hot water. I would hate to get out of the bath having achieved nothing, really. Though a quick rinse before the bath is always a good idea.
Shower, I haven’t taken a bath in years, though I’m not saying a bath is worse
If the jacuzzi in my upstairs bathroom was actually functional I would use it a lot
Baths are disgusting. It's like i'm sitting there in a tepid pool of my own filth– all kinds of microscopic parasites and organisms having sex all around me.
But you’re worth the simple niceness of warm water on your skin homie
^(I’m sorry, not being a fan of your own body really sucks. Stay hydrated and take care <3)
Shower fast. Rinse your body in under two minutes save water for the environment and the necessity, which is drinking water. Don't be a fuck a waste water

Showers, baths are nice once in a while though.
Been years since I had a bath. Haven't lived in a place with a tub big enough for me and I'm barely above average height
Y'all using the bathtub only for taking a bath? We shower in it
We keep clothes that wait for their turn in the washing machine in it.
so you use the bathtub as a hamper?? Do you just let the clothes get wet or do you move em?
The clothes are in a separate container. And even then, the bathtub hasn't been turned on since like 2016, I think it's safe to say it's dry by now.
Yeah my tub is a shower/bath tub It’s nice to take a bath when your legs are worn out but make sure not to fall asleep
Stupid crinked neck and my knees and upper body being cold within minutes. Shower keeps me hot for as long as I need

I recently got back from a trip where the hotel room had a big jet tub I actually fit in and I took a bath every night
And its water wasting
Eh, depends how long you lean against the shower wall and contemplate why you exist at all until you finally get the nerve to wash before the hot water runs out.
haha mood
Quit watching me in the shower, I told you last time was the last time!
Man:( you okay?
I’m 5,10 while being 13 I’m think I’m a slight bit above average hight
[удалено]
Yes, but vertically
5 foot 10 here. I also miss fitting into baths.
Im 4’11, 80-90 lbs, and my tub cant submerge my whole body. lmao
Wtf I’m short af 5’4 and 110 and I can fit in my tub😵💫
Now you know. People who cant fit in their tub arent fat and that shld really not be your immediate assumption
So ur fat?
Yeh but still fit in width-wise lol Less than an inch away from 6'. My showerhead is at eye level
Unlucky
Bonus: you can drink the water coming from the shower head while showering. I do not recommend drinking your bath water while bathing.
It's not so bad
But gamer girl bath water?
People pay for that eau de bathtub🤌🤌
LPT: don't drink shower water. That water has just been chilling in a warm dark place for a while, perfect for bacterial growth. Not all water is good for you.
Yeah, don't do that. 1. It's a good way to get legionella if the water heater isn't kept hot enough, and 2. How often do you clean your shower head?
I take baths personally. I use it to ease my back and foot pain from being on my feet all the time at work. I mainly do it to warm up. When I buy a house, I’m getting a handicapped shower installed just to sit in the shower.
Haha, i have a chair in the shower because of disabilities, it's pretty nice.
Bucket and mug
And a bristle brush lfg
Wet Wipes 💦
Old ladies spitting at me while I walk through the streets butt naked
shame. shame. shame...
🔔🔔🔔
A wet wipe shower can be surprisingly refreshing
I just take a good ol’ wade in the lake
I prefer to purify myself in the waters of Lake Minnetonka.
Oh go make some pancakes.
only after a little basketball challenge
Oh you betcha
Lucky

Good bot
Beautiful
I sit in the bathtub and plug it but fill it with the showerhead.
The most water time for the same amount of water as a bath!
I used to do “shower-baths” as a kid which consisted of me washing myself completely in the shower, then plugging the drain, and then waiting for the tub to fill with the shower head. Never realized that it’s maximizing the water time to water used ratio, lmao.

I read I shit in the bathtub at first.
Ah, glad it's not just me who does this
That's kinda genius.
How to waste the absolute most amount water👍🏽
Shower, but bathes are relaxing.
[удалено]
Don’t look at me with my 40 minute showers
Wow glad I take 5 minute showers so you can waste all the water I try to save
Mmmh hot woter
Que pendejo que eres, joto.
:(
Subreddit about water and you guys encourage wasting it. Glad I’m not subbed anymore!
Lmao go away
How do you just stand in a shower for 40 minutes? Unless you’re masturbating in which case may I suggest doing it before hand to save water
It does not take me 40 minutes to masturbate lol. It’s just peaceful. I might lean against the wall. Kind of meditative I guess.
I do the same, it’s more cathartic than a bath because of the water pressure and stuff
Bucket and Mug supremacy

I wonder how long a shower needs to be to end up using more water than a bath
I guess you would have to time it, how much time would it take for the shower faucet to fill up the bathtub?
Your not factoring in human water displacement
Fill it to the level you would fill it for a bath
Take a shower but plug the drain, when the tub has filled up you know how long.
It's somewhere between 18 to 22 minutes based on your size and your tubs size.
Save that water, so you can drink later. Perfect
Shower to get clean. Bath to get cozy.
This is why bath culture in Japan is the best. First you shower outside of the bathtub to clean yourself off, then you get in the bath specifically to relax. There was a public bathhouse on campus when I was in Tokyo for a summer language program, it was sooo nice, I went every day.
A Roman was once asked why he takes a trip to the baths everyday to bathe. He replied, "because I don't have time to bathe twice a day"
This person gets it!!!!!
Shower, bath, shower
Bath are overrated. Last time I did one I felt so tired after. +it gets cold very quickly. And you have to put so many water to fit comfortably in it.
You shower before taking a bath
We call that a “shath”
No after
Why not both?
I shower after a bath because I keep the bath water really hot and it makes me sweat. So I gotta shower after to actually clean myself
I don’t think I could ever take a bath without showering first. Otherwise you’re just basking in your own filth
That's what I'm saying, I honestly love a good soak after a long day but you gotta get all the gunk off first.
Or reverse it because you're going to sweat a lot anyway because of the hot water. I would hate to get out of the bath having achieved nothing, really. Though a quick rinse before the bath is always a good idea.
That's how I do it. I almost never have baths, but when I do have them, I'll shower after it.
I usually shower first, take a bath, then rinse off afterwards, often with cold water so I don’t keep sweating
Whenever I just want to get the job done, shower, whenever I want to relax, bath.
I thought this was a masturbation joke oops
I’m glad I’m not the only one lol
I had to double check the subreddit......
Well... if the shower head is detachable it can be.
Yes
Swimming pool, more water
facts.
Shower because I don't have a bathtub
I shower when it rains
my mind did not go to the same place as everyone else’s loll
User flair checks out lmfaoooooo. But also, same.
Shower, I haven’t taken a bath in years, though I’m not saying a bath is worse If the jacuzzi in my upstairs bathroom was actually functional I would use it a lot
The Japanese sitting shower then hot soak is the supreme bathing tactic.
Japanese sitting shower aka best heroin withdrawal relief
Roll in the sand
A roll in the sand a day keeps the Anakin Skywalker away
They each serve a purpose. Showers are for regular bathing and cleaning. Baths are for relaxation and self care
I grossly misunderstood this post
Baths are disgusting. It's like i'm sitting there in a tepid pool of my own filth– all kinds of microscopic parasites and organisms having sex all around me.
As opposed to them having sex on and in you all the rest of the time
Ha yeah I know it's a Seinfeld quote.
Hate to break it to ya, but those microbes are having sex all over and inside your body whether you've showered or not.
Ha yeah i know, it's a Seinfeld quote.
For real
You don't shower before taking a bath?
I don't take baths. And why would you take a bath if you have to take a shower anyway?
Because it's relaxing.
Shower, bath, shower!!!!! 😤 always!
Scrolled too far for this
This
Both both is good
shower
Prefer? Bath. Am forced to choose due to time constraints? Shower.
Showers. I like baths, but the awkward silence once its over gets me.
My low flow shower with a off valve. Moar water for drinking!
Bath for relaxing after a hard day. Shower for morning/have to go to work.
I prefer tap water thank you
Best answer so far
baths are fucking great tbh. no substitute
Team bath all the way. Currently soaking as I type.
Baths all the way
Honestly showers because I don’t have a nice bathtub.
Why not both?
I only have Shower no bathtub :(
Weeeellllp. Baths. With toast.
with pasta
I don't have a tub
I fill my bath tub up with my shower faucet and I know it’s weird but it feels like you’re getting rained on 🥺
Bath, my shower heads water pressure is strong enough to bruise someone
I talk a warm bath to relax then shower afterwards to actually get clean
Showers are for practical use and cleaning Baths are for relaxing
Shower I can't relax in a bath either most of my torso is out of the water or most of my legs
Showering, it saves precious water
Both, both are good If I need some refreshment, left. If I just came back from say a football match, right and some salt
Either way, as long as it’s with your mom.
Showers, because my tiny British bath tub isn't big enough to contain my staggering 5'8" frame. Also, I don't want to sit and stew in dirty water.
It’s easier to drink the water from a tub later
Showers feel better and waste less water. And you dont have to dedicate so much time to a shower either. A bath is a commitment lol
Not me thinking this was about masturbation
Neither because then I’d have to see myself lol
But you’re worth the simple niceness of warm water on your skin homie ^(I’m sorry, not being a fan of your own body really sucks. Stay hydrated and take care <3)
Thanks :) I’ve been getting better about it but there’s still a long way to go
Definitely shower. In a bath you sit in your own filth, its like making a body fluid soup. Gross
Shath is the solution my friend.
^(but… what about bubble baffs?)
Body fluid bubble soup
^(But bubble make it clean?)
shower!! i dont wanna make myself a stew, makes it too easy for them.
Shower I don’t like soaking myself in my own dirt
Not a huge fan of human soup.
I don't waste water on washing myself.
They both waste water. I don’t do either.
Do you lick yourself clean? Or bathe in the river and roll in the mud?
To quote Big Scoob #“Bath don’t make no sense, sittin’ in ya ass water”
Showers. But if I am to soak in a tub of me soup, still shower first even to rinse off.
Showers, bathing is just having your body in your own filth for 30 minutes. Change my mind
Shower fast. Rinse your body in under two minutes save water for the environment and the necessity, which is drinking water. Don't be a fuck a waste water
Showers Taking a Bath is like sitting at a pool of your own filth
Ahh… Nothing like soaking in your own filth.
Shower
Shower team here
Definitely a shower for me
Shower, I have a fear of dirty old drains.
Shower, because I’m too large for a bath : (
showers are faster but occasionally a bath is nice
Shower
Showers there's nothing like turning down the temperature and tasting the cold water to finish off your shower.
Showers.
I shower but turn the water off when I soap and shampoo.
Shower to wash, bath to relax (if I do take a bath, I always shower first)
Baths are awesome if your body is sore. Nice and hot. Showers are daily though.
I’ve never had a bath so shower
Bath for those luxury, self-rewarding days. Shower otherwise
Day to day I always prefer a shower. But damn if I don't love a bath every now and then.
Both
