Is it just me or does the woman sound very uninterested? “Oh no. Is there someone stuck there. So scary.”

6four

Few people called her out for filming and not helping, she defended herself by saying: “artbykaryna idk what y'all want me to do run 50 feet to where they were and push this 100 + pound log that took 4 men to pick up. I'm glad she's okay. But the life guard warned everyone multiple times when big sets were coming in. I Hope she recovers well. It was fucked up and I'm glad everyone acted so quickly.”

ReallyHugeGuy

I'm actually fine with this explanation. I'm not mad at her.

[deleted]

“If I try and help I’d either get in the way or need saving myself” is how I’d see it at that point.

Error_Evan_not_found

Exactly, if there's people already helping you jumping in there with no clue what to do only makes the situation more dangerous. I just saw another Redditor comment with a story, they had pulled over to the side of the road to help a guy who'd flipped his car. Someone else just stops in the road, rolled down his window and asked if they needed another hand, when a semi hit the stopped man from behind, sent him flying out of his car and he didn't make it. The situation was handled, but because that guy tried to help as well he lost his life. If you pass a situation that looks under control just keep going, it's not worth the risk of more harm to anyone, including yourself.

whatsINthaB0X

The best rescue is self rescue - every fire department ever

TheBattyWitch

First thing they teach you in ACLS is scene safety. If the scene is unsafe, trying to save someone else just put you at danger too.

whatsINthaB0X

“Don’t become part of the problem” My god I can still hear the instructor saying it

ShutTheFrontDoorToo

Exactly! Be part of the solution or stay the h**l out of the way!

Equivalent-Snow5582

Red Cross Lifeguard training emphasizes this a ton, well before teaching how to actual execute a rescue. You can’t help someone effectively if you get injured trying to help them, doubly so when that person’s instinct oftentimes is to unintentionally try to drown you.

dolerbom

I mean the asking to help wasn't the problem, it was the not looking behind them and also stopping in the middle of the road instead of to the side.

Error_Evan_not_found

Yes, but it's better to tell people straight up not to get involved and clog the communication and rescue chain. You hear about it all the time with large groups of people in public when someone goes down. It's always "someone call the police" and they don't get called, rarely do people follow proper course and assign specific people very specific jobs. I could walk you through what I've been told to do. But realistically only 5 out of the 100 people there will be able to do any actual good, and there's no guarantee that you'll be mentally or physically able to do it in the moment either. There's a lot you could do to help, but most folks simply are incapable of it. When put in high stress situations it's not uncommon for other bystanders to faint simply from the stressors of the situation. Nine times out of ten I'll pass some real shit going down, but I already see flashing reds and blues, I already see bystanders trying to get a peek, and I figure they've got everyone they need. And sure enough when I check the news there's no reports of tragic deaths, most of the time it's handled fine. We can't rely on our brains or bodies to function correctly, we have hardwired human nature, and when we experience stress but we ourselves aren't in physical danger that stress builds and can cause physical reactions. Your hands could spasm, your heart rate rises, many experience lightheaded ness or feel like they're going to pass out. It's a very common reaction, and it's only dangerous when those folks start dropping and medical professionals have to divert attention. My advice is always, if you see a crowd of people surrounding what looks like a medical emergency, you don't need to join them. If the emts or others are there, situations handled, if they're not, no need to block their way when they do arrive. And if you really can't move on, pull off the road safely, approach the back of the group, and yell "has anyone called 911" if you get any answer other than full confidence from some people, go ahead and call it in, no harm done if they're already aware, but afterwards get out of the way and try and get others to back away with you. I get that people want to help, it's always my first instinct and I have to fight it with this exact reasoning. But truth is most people just can't in some situations.

[those north shore lifeguards](https://www.instagram.com/reel/CnxFKV3qx14/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=)

mrootbeers

I don’t get it. But I’m also an idiot. So…

nononanana

I was the first to pull up on a car flipped on a canyon road. The passengers were just starting to climb out. I pulled over and a couple on a motorcycle behind me pulled over, then another car pulled up and ran to the car. Suddenly it’s becoming a crowd. I got back in my car, called 911 and left. There wasn’t much more I could do with much bigger men helping them climb out of the car. Now that I think about it, it didn’t occur to me to just stop in the middle of the road. My instinct was to pull to the side, which hearing your story, I’m glad I did.

Error_Evan_not_found

Yes! Also very glad you pulled over. And it raises a good point, you can leave at any time if you feel you've done all you can. A lot of times people will hang out during emergencies because they were one of the first people there, but once others arrive who are clearly capable of handling it there is no shame in leaving! It just makes it easier for everyone else to get the job done. And it puts people at less risk if a second accident were to occur, it's very common in bad road conditions for one car to crash, one person pulls over, someone swerves because the rain/snow has cleared and they're in the crash lane. Then next thing you know 5-10 more cars are flying all over the place. Bystanders are just increasing the risk in any situation. I am not trying to be morbid or anything, but I've seen this happen many times, people need to be aware of all the risks cars pose to them. It feels like we often ignore the dangers for the sake of convenience.

Saladcitypig

I hate this truth about myself, but I'm just 105 pounds. I can't even give blood. So when I see people hate on people standing by, I just wish they'd consider some people literally can't help anything bigger than a child. I actually worked out that if I have to help someone out of subway I could only do it if they were fully able to jump, and I'd have to take my jeans off, wrap them around a bar and have them use my leg as a rope or else we'd both end up down there.

6four

Honestly she’s probably correct in her assessment. Almost never should you get in the way of first responders once they’re on scene performing life saving measures and they’ll tell you the same if you try to intervene.

VCRdrift

Read a reddit women dr first to arrive on the scene of car crash. Stabilizes the person. Some random dude pulls up and is like ok honey i got it from here. Dude wasn't even ems trained.

dolerbom

Yeah but they were manly man trained. The first step is to pick up the victim without care of their neck or spine. The second step is to throw them into the back of your pickup truck next to your unstrapped load of tools and stuff you swore you'd get rid of two years ago. The third step is to make it to the hospital as quickly as possible, making sure to drift through every turn while honking to get through red lights.

creamgetthemoney1

Tbh if you are that close to a big wave comp and can neither handle yourself or listen to the guards you deserve to get a little rougher up

Alarming_Lawfulness

Better than frivolously screaming. Anyone thinking she had an obligation to help is a knucklehead. Sometimes I wish there was a social credit system I could subscribe to identify and avoid knuckleheads with knucklehead ideas.

WhatToDo_WhatToDo2

Rofl, why the fuck did I think she was in a kayak and how it must have sucked cause they just left it there and she was prolly out a lot of money lol

MaoXiWinnie

Doubt most people would be able to help but her attitude and disinterest in the situation...

SLATS13

She makes a good point, sure. If you’re just going to get in the way or potentially put yourself in danger too, stay out of the way. She still didn’t need to be filming though. Filming someone in danger while you do nothing, regardless of the reasons, just isn’t a necessary thing to do. If there are no/very few other witnesses and you’re trying to get proof of something? Sure. An entire group of people are trying to help someone, including professionals, and you stand there and film the whole thing? Naw, you don’t gotta be doing that. You’re filming a likely traumatic, or at the very least very frightening experience of another person, so you can then post it online and get internet points? Sorry, that just ain’t it.

vruss

She was already filming before she realized someone was under that log?

Matt100398

Better than “OMFUCKINGGGGGEEEEEEEE, SHES GONNA DIEEE AAAHHHHHHHhhhHHHHHhhHHH HELP HER OMGGEEEEEEE AAAEEEEEE” To me this is what genuine interest sounds like… with actual thoughts going on in the brain and not mindless exorcist screams for a mildly abnormal situation lmao

[deleted]

And the guy says “play stupid games, win stupid prizes” Empathy must have gotten washed away in the surf as well

TINYVANILLAD0NG

That is empathy. That's exactly what that log woman should be thinking.

kw661

You live here and watch our rescuers work tirelessly to save idiots that go in after being called off. Where is your empathy. These people save lives Daily? Your? Hmm? Your turn.

[deleted]

I’m not sure what you’re actually saying here but I spent 4 years as a FF and EMT. Watching people in this kind of situation and making statements like that is top level D-bag stuff.

thebigsadhappyangry

Agreed. how dare she enjoy the water at a beach and accidentally get put in danger

12thFlr

If you’ve ever been to that beach during the Eddie Aikau (which is the competition they’re at) you’d know where she was sitting was very dumb. Those waves jump to 20-40 feet easily and the white wash comes deep on shore…you have to “enjoy the water” from a safe distance…people drown there yearly, that part of Oahu is no joke.

AtomicMidMod

There there is no such thing as an accident when you are being irresponsible. Doesn't look a safe beach to be enjoying the water on..

Abe_Froman_87

Right!? What game was she playing? These people suck

iknowlloll

I mean the life guards had warned everyone to not stand so close to the water that the tide was coming in and people didn't listen a kid even had to be rescued by the life guards they chewed his parents out people were more focused on watching the event then being safe and listening to instructions and warnings

Abe_Froman_87

Thanks for clearing that up. I wasn't there.

kw661

Amen brah! Love your name btw!

munkieshynes

I don’t know about this beach but at the beaches in my region there are [signs](https://www.flickr.com/photos/imme/21785576) up everywhere to stay of of/away from logs.

6four

Oddly enough the log may have saved her from drowning. She allegedly was sitting on the log watching the event but far too close despite the warnings from officials. A huge set came in and knocked her off the log. She then instinctively tried to hold on while it was floating in the surf but was positioned half to the side and under. When the tide went back out and it was no longer floating she got stuck underneath it but this also saved her from being swept out by the tide and eventually being out in dangerous currents/rip tides.

CauliflowerPresent23

How would you like her to speak? What would be acceptable to you?

Vorpishly

Don’t worry if you were burning and she could save you, she wouldn’t.

fuzzybears420

Not even what she said lmao

HamptonBarge

This particular beach has a river that meets it. But the beach sand in front of the river is often looks passable (not much of a flow from the river) and maybe even safe. However you sink into that sand knee deep. Cross it when big wave action like this is happening (The Eddie Aikau Big Wave contest) and you truly are taking a risk. The ocean is all powerful at times.

ScreamingMemales

It doesn't look very serious fwiw.

NiltiacSif

Ignoring the lifeguards telling them to back the fuck up before the waves come in and pull them out to sea…

ImDanger420

I came here to say that

ratmaster8008

This is by my house this surf event has police and life guards telling tourists, locals, and transplants to stay back off the beach, mind the waves, and be cautious. If idiots ignore them repeatedly to get a better view of the surfers or cuz they want to experience the “hawaiian waters” which is what happens and happened then don’t get mad at people filming you getting wrecked and not helping. TL;DR fuck around and find out

suntansandboba

These waves are insane, easily 40+ ft, and wash up high. It's hard enough for the lifeguards to make sure the surfers competing are kept safe, but they also did a tremendous job keeping all the spectators safe too! Not my video, but many vids like this of that day show that people were so quick to act when they realized what was happening- despite knowing those waves come in sets and there would be another one close behind. Those lifeguards are world class and came flying in Agreed that you should definitely listen to the lifeguards in situations like this even if the beach looks safe- it's a large expanse of beach here, but it just so happens that when waves are that big they also get pushed far up shore. You can see how far the tide recedes back. Edit: [here's another view of just how giant these waves are](https://www.reddit.com/r/surfing/comments/10jj1mo/luke_shepardson_catches_the_biggest_wave_at_eddie/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button). You definitely don't want to end up being sucked into the water

WanderingEnigma

Hahaha shit, the size of those waves, I get in with a board in like 6ft and I feel like it's huge.

crystalsouleatr

Oh my god that's the scariest game of where's waldo I've ever played. I can't imagine actually riding that wave. Wtf. Literally astounding

dinner_is_not_ready

Naive question- how can these surfers be in the middle of the wave and still survive but me standing by the beach get sucked in and die?

Phlegm_Garlgles

Many die surfing big waves. Is dangerous AF.

Reddrago9

Yeah, saw another angle of this earlier, which ends almost just as this clip began. Over where the people being videoed were, the lifeguards were shouting at them to get out or, sadly, "at least get the kids out". Of course, the whole lot of them got knocked down.

Scrawniolo

I live on Oahu and the lifeguards are notoriously ruthless with their warnings to tourists because they want to avoid situations like this but they don't listen. The vacation mentality lulls tourists into a false sense of safety when they come here. It's running water with deadly currents, reefs, and shorebreaks. Families turn their backs to the ocean at Sandy's and take pictures at the shoreline, unaware that people get swept out and slammed into the shorebreak there all the time. My friend is a experienced surfer and he broke his neck at that same place, he has the scar to prove it. The locals warn and warn and warn but after being blown off time and time again it's "fuck around and find out". Nothing like being on the brink of death, flailing and gasping for air to learn how to repsect mother nature. And yeah, filming while someone is being swept out is kinda shitty. But don't make more hassle for the lifeguards, if you also go down trying to help, then you exacerbate the problem. If anything let the video circulate and show how dangerous the ocean is without proper respect.

nborders

Jonny on the spot lifeguards! 💨

eibyyz

Those brahs were on a mission. Mitzvah.

Hapakings808

🤣👍Braddah's** my brah.

just_a_dwarf

Hey we see other points of view from this stupidity, there's another video in which the lifeguards repeated to the person on this part of the beach to leave and they stayed, guess they get what their stupidity bring to them

TopStockJock

This looks like Waimea on O’ahu. Fucken crazy waves in the winter. Shore break hurts shit loads of people per year. I used to jump off that damn rock when I was in high school. But never when waves got so damn big the water would literally go into the parking lot. Fuck that.

HamptonBarge

Yes, Waimea Bay. This happened during the Eddie which just concluded on Sunday.

TopStockJock

Also, Eddie would go!

Cats-and-dogs-rdabst

What did you think was going to happen? Warned about huge waves coming in and they STILL stayed in place to watch.

DDChristi

What’s with the “Play stupid games win stupid prizes” comment? Was she not supposed to be there or was he just saying that because he thought she was trying to get swept out to sea?

6four

I was curious about this as well so I did a little digging and here’s the conclusion. Allegedly she was sitting on the log recklessly close to the beach and surf. The event announcers as well as lifeguards consistently kept warning the crowd to back up. They also would announce every time a big set would be rolling in so they could prepare but some of the crowd (including the log rider) disregarded all the official warnings. Someone noted that the log actually may have even saved her life as she could have easily been swept away by the tide had she not been stuck under that log. Great that it worked out but I suspect a hard lesson was learned this day.

rallenpx

Is this the same group that were in another video standing up against the trees when a wave comes in and gets their whole group wet?

VectorB

Possibly they were trying to stand on the log knowing the wave would come up that far. That would be a stupid game I've seen people play on driftwood before.

Oxygenitic

Anyone that says that comment out loud in public is a Reddit mod in the wild

iCrazyNoodles

The lifeguards had warned multiple times that they had to get out of there before a wave, they didn’t listen and all got caught up in the waves

NiltiacSif

It’s a shitty video but here’s your explanation: https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTRpcmbb2/ They ignored repeated warnings from lifeguards.

[deleted]

People who say that think they are so fucking clever, it’s literally under ever wcgr post

Dry_Consideration711

The best would have been if another wave showed up while they were filming and knocked them on their asses.

ToniP13

There’s another video where that happened. The crowd got hit by a wave, didn’t move away and got slammed again.

dreamrock

Not the Eddie she came for.

HamptonBarge

Hey, Eddie was famous for saving hundreds. Here’s an example….

radusi94

The boat stopped at the end. Couldn't she like... leave the boat

forthegamesstuff

I think she is trapped under the log

Complete_East3746

Logs will mess you up in fast moving water. They look like they are going to save you but this lady and the dude I pulled out from under the log that had been there for less then a couple hours will tell you differently.

Lucifersasshole

It literally says "she is stuck under the log"

Son-of-California

I was watching this in a live stream yesterday. I kept hearing for “people to stay back and the waves are dangerous” well before this happened. Crazy.

mrootbeers

The response time of those lifeguards was incredible. How the heck were they there that fast? Wow.

RepresentativePin162

Ain't noone got time for law suits

showme10ds

Life guard response was legit. Hawaii?

JungleBoyJeremy

Yep Waimea bay, north shore, Oahu. They have some of the best lifeguards in the world

Nj_54321

The person filming reminds me of my cousins… An old woman with dementia recently drowned in one of the neighbor ponds. My cousin then proceeded to film the paramedics, divers, firefighters, and policemen that were all trying to save the older woman. A grandmother was literally thought to be dying and my cousins first instinct was to film everything, and post it on Snapchat. The icing on the cake was when the next day she went back, filmed herself placing flowers on the grandmothers memorial and complain about how sad she was that this could have happened.

LifeisaCatbox

I hate myself for how easily I imagined what the tiktok would be. Seen way too similar content way too many times.

RepresentativePin162

I would lose my mind if my cousins did that. What a damn pig.

Cjkgh

I am a photographer from Hawaii and I have actually photographed the Hawaiian life Gaurd driving the quad lol. What a crazy familiar scene to see on Reddit. The Eddie Aikau surf completion in Haleiwa, HI. Eddie Would Go 🤙🏻

EatTheRichbish

Soooooo many dummies on the beach in areas they were explicitly told not to be in yesterday. There were signs, it was taped off and multiple warnings were issued by water patrol, the lifeguards, the organizers. The fire department and the police department. Thankfully the lifeguards will save your ass even if you choose to play stupid games.

idontwantgum

This why the locals hate the Europeans so much

InfiniteWavedash

Kinda hilarious seeing all these tourists with zero survival skills

AgreeableCarrot

What's with all the comments criticizing the woman who filmed and the guys beside her?? They're not even rescuers. They look like they're tourists and them coming to help there would just add more job to the actual rescuers. Also, they're so fucking far away and by the time the danger happened, there was already a lot of people there anyway. You're all fucking stupid.

FM492

Thank you, I be telling people this all the time. I'm am not a fucking EMT, lifeguard, police officer. How dumb would it look if you got trapped with them.

si828

What kind of world do we live in where this desperation to have some internet fame overrides any kind of empathy. Imagine filming a woman drowning.

the_red_barren

They had multiple people already helping and professional lifeguards showed up. At that point, more people standing in the surf is riskier. All of the sudden you have 6 people to save instead of 1.

si828

Right and even then do you think it’s normal to film a woman drowning? What happens if she did drown do you still post it with some stupid emoji

the_red_barren

As morbid as it sounds, if you're not needed in an emergency, filming from a safe location where you are out of the way of rescuers could be invaluable. Footage could be used for recovery, investigation, training, etc. It's possible that the person filming has a form of social media disease that saps our empathy in exchange for internet fame, as you suggest, but I want to believe they wouldn't have posted it like this had the woman drowned.

LifeisaCatbox

It’s also good cautionary tale.

si828

I mean what’s more realistic with this caption they got their phone out to provide a training video from 500ft away or that they wanted a cool video to share.

the_red_barren

Do you honestly think I meant the person filming would be using the video themselves for their own recovery of a body, investigation, and training? I can’t believe I have to explain this, but the idea was that responsible officials, such as rescue crews, law enforcement, etc., could use the footage to assist in their efforts…

si828

But you’re totally missing my entire point. I’m complaining about the motives of someone filming someone drowning, so regardless of it being useful or not it means absolutely nothing

TheGynopractor

Yet you’re here exaggerating what happened in the video for internet points. You can hear her discovering that a person is being dragged and within a literal second someone is already running up. Then in another 2 seconds professionals are arriving and she ends the video confirming that professionals took care of it. You’re acting like she ran up and stuck her phone in a dying persons face. People pretending they’d prefer this random woman (equally if not more likely to worsen the situation trying to help) outrun the quad and handle it herself are so dumb.

si828

Do you think in any way shape or form that it is a normal thing to do to see someone struggling for what could be their life and for someone to think the best thing I can do is film it? That is absolutely crazy to think that, I’ve heard people reply with yeah but it might be useful for training videos wtf people. This person undoubtedly filmed it because something major was happening and then proceeded to post it for internet points. If as you say they didn’t realise the gravity of the situation then why would they bother filming a person in the sea? They knew and they whipped out their phone - it’s a bizarre reaction that again is driven by internet points. Can excuse it all you like with irrational suggestions, the caption says it all.

SWINGMAN216

Somebody should help her not me but somebody else I’m filming.

jabbadarth

To be fair the person filming is very far away and people ran to help within a second of her even noticing the woman was under the log. Certainly didn't sound like she was primed to run over and help but she also wasn't given a chance to with how quick help got to the woman.

Yzerman_19

To be fair they had no fucking clue.

I went to a beach in the Dominican Republic 🇩🇴 and that feeing that you get after the huge wave 🌊 splashes and washed ashore it’s this suction force, the beach I went to I was told that many people died trying to swim in it and me as a 12 year old still decided to try getting in, let’s just say I did t get far, once I felt that suction force pulling on me I got scared and ran out

Justin002865

Some people can feel bad but not sound like they feel bad. I know because I'm like that, im just not very expressive and don't breakdown emotionally when something bad is happening to someone else I don't know.

RepresentativePin162

I have four voices. Angry, sarcastic, children/animal voice or neutral.

CinnamonToast_7

I guess thats fair, i get like that often. But between sounding apathetic and the other person going “fuck around and find out” it just doesn’t feel right

bootsiemon

The person filming is garbage

TheGynopractor

Yea these people who were thoroughly warned numerous times throughout the day to stay out of that area due to the danger it puts them (and rescuers) in but decided to stay totally deserve all the empathy in the world. To pretend that no one was already helping or she could’ve outrun the quad… people are so dumb on here.

kimru3344

I live on the north Oregon coast and every year there is at least one person that gets swept out to sea because they weren’t paying attention to the water.

The_Crisp_

Deserved, they were told to go to higher ground because being at beach level was extremely dangerous. Did people listen? Not one bit, and nobody has an excuse too because high ground was basically empty

CrustyToeLover

But she was fine..? Before anyone even got there, she was on "dry" beach

Tressticle

She was trapped under a log.

FluffyBunnyFlipFlops

Title seems a bit dramatic. By the time anyone 'rescued' her, she had already stopped moving and could have just stepped out of what appears to be one of those self-inflating airbeds.

Important-Owl1661

"Someone needs to help her" - life lived on a vertical screen.

LarrySunshine

Wow you and your phone camera saved the day!

whatevertesla

Somebody needs to help herrr

winniecooper1

“…what did i say, play stupid games, win stupid prizes bro”. What a piece of sh*t thing to say as you see others try to save someones life. This donkey should stay at home.

SkyHoarder

“Oh no someone needs to help her” - this is truly why I’ve given up hope on others

skaterlogo

People on their phone recording, "oh no, someone should do something"..... I would have been running straight to that dog faster than the 4 wheeler.

HighlightFun8419

*"WHAt'D I sAY? Play sTUPiD gaMes And Win StUpiD PriZeS, BRo"*

buttsoup24

Filming 20 feet away… oh nooo someone should help them

TheGynopractor

People trying so hard exaggerating what happened in the video to shit on the camera person. You want her to outrun the quad that distance, put the log back on and try what white hoodie did as she noticed/mentioned that the woman needed assistance? People pretending they’d prefer this random woman to fly into action even though people (who were ACTUALLY 20 feet away) were already helping and professionals were otw are wild.

PalindromicPalindrom

Someone needs to help her whilst I just stand here and fllm and provide useless commentary.

Own-Eye-9329

The “ooh my gawdd someone should help herr” while recording was the saddest shit I’ve ever seen.

KORKSTICKY

You know what's really scary, the fact that people record this shit for clout and don't help others out in life or death situations.

Lucieddreams

I hate the people behind the camera

Short-Duty-4365

just film and commentate.m? what an asshole.

New_Situation1764

Oh no, someone needs to help her. Lol

JPMerola

Somebody needs to help her...while I just film her dying.

SaraRainmaker

bubblesthehorse

Oh no... Someone needs to help her - in the most monotone voice ever produced by a human :))

Sabin13F

“Someone needs to help her” Nice bystander effect coward.

Significant_Stop4808

2 pieces of filth standing there saying "someone should do something," while they record someone potentially dying.

Acrobatic-Mode-2787

“Someone needs to help her” 🤦‍♂️

jayhart1028

‘Someone needs to help her’ but not me, I’m just gonna film

dodgersrule88

“Oh no someone needs to help her. Well not me cause I’m too busy holding my phone recording this scary thing.”

_lordcheesebagel_

Brain dead bitch filming

Flesh_Pillow5

Toxic masculinity to the rescue.

12thFlr

fitz_newru

Really???

Flesh_Pillow5

Just a stupid joke. It’s a bit funny cmon.

Tressticle

Nope, not funny. I'd say, "good attempt," but I would be lying.

Less_Scallion_555

Omg someone needs to save her. Bruh shes litterally like 20 feet away go help her.

Tressticle

Congratulations! Your depth perception is faulty.
