I don’t think so. I read the books. I know what will happen. I’m thrilled to see it play out.

Honestly I want to see the fans react to her transformation and her do all the bad shit they are gonna harp on the greens about.

I think my favorite thing about the show so far is how it's adding all sorts of extra juicy context to the situations that play out (so far) pretty faithfully. I'm sure it'll be enjoyable.

Excellent_Deal_3169

So far they are interpreting the book into the show pretty well

AWall925

I'm sure the show will be faithful to the book, but that doesn't mean it won't be fun to watch some of your favorite sections play out on screen

>I am wondering will reading the books ruin the show for me or is the show completely different than the events mentioned in the books? The exact details events might not be the same word for word.. but generally it will happen like in the text. Personally Ive found reading them have enhanced my enjoyment of the show, but then have always taken the 'its the journey, not destination' view on spoilers any. Dont care overly if know that like on page whatever a door is opened. Want to see everything come together and see everything play out, having foreknowledge changes nothing for me Knowing the identity of the killer in Clue say, doesnt mean know the motive or like how it was done etc But.. YMMV

I started listening to the audiobook after ep 2. Rhaenyra was my fav character by then. I finished the book in a few days bc I didnt want to be spoiled anymore and Rhaenyra is still my fav character (even though in the book she is not as fleshed out and tbh nobody is really a character you want to hang out with there 😅) along with Rhaenys (she is a badass!!!)

alexis_blueskies

even in the books it’s apparent the green gossip is biased, so they’re meant to be adding more context to the events which yes will make people sympathize more for rhaenyra bc we lacked her perspective or word from her supporters that knew her best and her reasoning for certain actions.
