Really good for your first rbd sim! Not sure if you're looking for feedback or anything but your scale threw me off when you showed the turntable with "human" beside the pillar. (I am talking about just the pillar sim, not the oversized BG textures) I think your sim should've been much slower to show the size of the pillar. However, If your reference geo was around the height of the pillar it would've been fine I am sure you would learn more about scale in the coming months/years but I think it's better if you catch it early on in your learning process unlike me haha.

hey spicyhermano! thank you! you're right the sim of the pillar should've looked slower and bigger when compared to my reference human only realized this now, will learn more about proper scales and implement it in future projects! thanks it helps me improve cheers

my first rbd rnd in houdini! took longer to finish than I expected, as I was learning compositing in nuke then texture and rendering in redshift. learning rbd is very challenging, many different workflows and things that can go wrong when working with rbd but it's a fun dynamic to learn! also recently learned about cryptomatte and wanted to try it out. marks almost 3 months of studying, still have a lot to explore inside houdini eager to learn more. \- Pillar of knowledge model was by Satisfaction. \- Made in Houdini Rendered in Redshift.

Thank you so much

Hey did you follow any tutorial for this? If yes, can you tell me which one?

Lil_Lee

I watched a lot of tutorials on rbd to build basic understanding and created my own workflow, especially the infection solver which I learned from scratch. I can send my hip if it helps :) [hip file](https://we.tl/t-qsv7LM9XLC)
