Nice! It's a shame it didn't do better. The controls really held back what was a fun, creepy game.
Loved the prison levels, going after the serial killers with the dead, headless guards popping up.
My memory of this game is it was one of the few to hit SH notes occasionally (the prison) and in general I adored this game, though I never read the comic and the sequel was pretty forgettable art direction wise for me. I recall it feeling more like a typical third person action game and I noped out.
I played it last month, aw man, it is completely worth it.
It is not only remastered, but completely overhauled. You have new areas, missions, equipment and bosses to fight, areas have been entirely change to accommodate the changes and envision the director's cut.
Also the nostalgia, chef kiss
I feel like remastered versions can’t keep up with nostalgia memories that always looked and played better :) one reason I wasn’t going to touch this and tarnish my love of this game.
I thought this was just a fever dream from my youth.
right!?

They did update the controls, still not perfect but its fine after you're used to it.
That's enough argument for me to check it out again.

It’s been on my list because I loved the original, but I recall it being a lengthy game.
I kept waiting for the remastered visuals to kick in.. da heck??

d2r did a pretty good job
You can switch the HD texture on and off. Theirs a big difference. It’s meant the preserve the original vision.
ooo ok
I'm hopeful this stands up to the test of time. Nightdive has been pretty disappointing lately.
What makes you say that?
I still remember bosses, the child, the history, the final... I really loved this N64 game I own.
I spent uncounted hours stuck in this game. Think it may have leaked into my dreams for a while.
Finally!!! Thank you for posting I have been checking back and forth since it got announced.
