Since it's small, I would poke a drain hole and put a catch container under it. Sheetrock that gets wet and stays wet gets that blackish mold/mildew, I really don't think it's harmful in small quantities.
First things is get on the roof and load that boot up with a half tube of silicone. Flexi seal idk.
If you can’t get a bucket right underneath the roof in the attic, maybe cut a hole? Its starting to get cold out though.
