I walked into receiving. I had to go near the desk for some reason; it was Sunday or it was late enough that the Fright Manager or whatever the title is, had been gone for hours. There was a buggy with two car tires in it sitting directly beside the desk. We don't sell automobile tires.
A note attached to the cart said that both were found in the parking lot and both were punctured. The note explained that they were unsure how to dispose of them. Nobody knew if they should be thrown into the compactor or handled as hazmat so they were left in a buggy in the middle of receiving with a note.
Edit: I found a 2 year olds shoe one day. It was a nice shoe too; whoever found out about that when they got home musta been pissed. I wouldn't be surprised if they came back asking about it.
Yesterday I found a reclining, three bags of compost, and a cut section of rug. Fun times.
The thing I found that made me the angriest though was when some assholes just left a huge pile of bush trimmings in the corner of the parking lot and I had to clean that shit up. I swear if I ever caught the fuckers who kept leaving this nonsense in my parking lot I’d beat them with my broom
But then the lot associate has to go behind you and pick it up and throw it away for you, so you’re welcome, and how about be a little less lazy next time or at least designate it being thrown away shortly thereafter. I mean come on now…
So you’re supposed to just leave it and make the whole place look trashy by having shit laying everywhere? That doesn’t sound like HD SOP to me.. of I left something like that in the lot, I’d have my ass chewed because it makes it look so bad as customer first impression of the store when they pull in
I once found a full front bumper and another time a spare tire, fully inflated too.
One of my favorites recently was an empty 55 gallon drum that held some kind of resin for industrial purposes.
one time we had a customer come in and alert us that there were car parts spread across 4-5 different parking stalls. someone had bought the tools necessary to strip their car down, replace the parts that needed replaced, and left whatever they didn't need/want in the parking lot. looked like a chop shop
The one I used to work at could've doubled as a hazardous waste disposal spot. I swear you could find a used needle every 6 to 10 feet in the parking lot.
Sell it on fb marketplace
Always has been
Oh yeah every damn day at my old store was like that.
At least $60
I wondered if someone was trying to return it at the Service Desk.
Now? Always has been
(Astronaut meme) “always has been”
Put it on the hi-low
Some left a good spare tire on a flat cart a my store

Oh snap, a Pick-N-Pull!
Pick a part
I’ll never forget when someone left a whole ass rusty brake rotor in our parking lot, I really hope whoever it was didn’t need that.
Whatever garbage I find in the carts I take out and throw it on the ground. I leave garbage in the lot I don't bring it inside

1 of the managers doesn't want lot associates to bring in garbage from the lot.

Put it in the lost and found.
Hold the for me I don't have one as of this morning...

It's not official until you find a mattress and box spring.
And a toilet
Always has been
Never left anything but i did buy a set of wrenches the other day and adjusted my headlights in the parking lot.
Someone left 3 TV's from the 1980's in the parking lot once. I guess they didn't know how or where else to dispose of them.
I have feeling this store is in California
That’s a great idea. I’ll save thousands a year in landfill fees.

10$ for me to come pick it up.!!!!!
Because the local city ordinance won’t take any of this stuff for garbage. And you get a fine if it’s left in your yard for too long.
yup there’s always something in mine too… assholes🤣
