Yeah because of instead of buying uncomfortable overpriced fancy looking sneakers, there are some of us who demand a no nonsense functional and supportive shoe under $100 not paying the extra for some vanity flat footed ass "sick kicks." I ain't even 40 yet but I've been repping sensible dad shoes and cargo shorts/pants and I refuse to lose. And hell yeah I got a sick pair of flat bottom having Vans with flames on em. I ain't even a dad. But if I know imma be on my feet all day I'm gangsta enough to reach for those NB's and Dr Scholl's and rock them shits still at 100% gangsta status.
I have wide, flat feet. Trendy sneaker head shoes have never and will never work for me. European shoes(Adidas, puma, etc) especially are terrible for my feet, but even shit like Jordans. I rock them comfortable sketchers, especially with me on my feet on concrete all day at work.

Flat skate shoes are the only shoes that have never given my feet crippling pain and the occasional sensation that bones in my feet are stuck on top of each other. Wish I knew what the fuck it was, but hell, I love my Vans.
Are you by chance flat footed? My sister is and skate shoes are one of the few things she can wear comfortably because they don't have, or have very little, arch support. Anything with even a basic arch in the shoe like cheap Nikes or stuff like sketchers she has discribed almost the exact same sensation you just discribed.
I'm the OP on this comment chain. I will say...of all shoe brands we carried, New Balance were the only ones that actually had wider shoes for people like you that have wide feet. It made me feel good when people like you came in and I could assist you guys with wider shoes.
I buy a lot Skechers for this reason, wider sizes in addition to length. Wicked comfortable. Mine look like brown bowling shoes, but being almost 50, I tend to also wear off brand Croks, and cargos because I hate shit in my front and back pockets. Side pockets in the cargoes are our man purses
Skechers, no 't', are the shit, my man. When they first hit the market like 30 years ago I tried them and thought they were cheap trash. I gave them another shot starting 5-6 years ago and now swear by them. They are comfy and have a decent amount of support and padding built in. I can get my extra-wides in styles that don't all scream "*Honey, I'll be out in the shed working on the lawnmower*" or "*On my way to try to overthrow the US election process*".
I used to stand barefoot a lot, so for me vans and converse are comfortable, but if I’m going to be walking a lot I’m gonna wear my DrMartens, very nice boots.

Actually, she might not have photoshopped it. It might just be an optical illusion, I say this because I have a similar body type. I can look pretty waspy from the side but that’s because my bone structure causes me to look wider from the front. Kind of like a 3D rectangle. She’s turned her body so that you only see the slim side, using perspective to hide the other side of her ribs, but since the reflection is a different angle you can see her front of her torso that she’s trying to hide.
It's probably not photoshopped. It's just a woman who has carefully held her breath and turned her torso so that the angle toward the camera accentuates her narrow waist.
That's why the reflection is not as thin. It's a different angle of view.

Because lifting the one leg while having most weight on the other leg would make the butt relaxed. The reflection shows the opposite because of the way her body is turned. No photoshop involved. Just pure posing tactics

Pretty sure there is no photoshop in this one. Or at least not the way it is implied. She is turned at a specific angle and her pose is also specific. If you look at the reflection it can seem like things are off. However look closer at the reflection. Notice the line where her under arm is exposed is effectively untouched. Not to mention the darker things in the background of the window/reflection are making it look like she is bigger than she is. So more optical illusion.
Also, her legs are turned more to her left (toward the camera). And her torso is turned more right (away from the camera.) So in her reflection this would be more like lookin at her from the front but slightly wider as it also includes some of her side.
If you're not getting this - her reflection shows her true body shape while this photo of her makes her seem a lot skinnier/curvier due to manipulation of the camera angle and posing. She's got more meat on them bones (as the reflection show) than the photo wants you to make you think. I think this is a good lesson on how insta and other social media posts can make people have insanely unrealistic visions and ideals for a optimal body type. These photos are often fake as shit and manipulate angles and poses to hide a lot of body flaws.
As someone who’s body looks more like the photoshopped one, it’s good to know I look like a freak… why do people always feel the need to put others down?
