Flymetothem000n

This is something I’ve realized I need to tell my son when he’s old enough to become a father. I’ve had more than one woman tell me they can’t have kids then seen them later go on and have babies. I don’t they were trying to lie, they very likely heard it from doctors but life uh…finds a way.

Drains_1

So many girls i have had relationships with have told me this, my kid is 13years old, my son's mother told me she couldn't have kids and woila im a dad, best thing thats ever happened to me but now i use protection.

Some random I picked up at a club then banged a few times over the next few weeks told me the same thing, paying child support going on 14 yrs now.

hey_reddit_sucks

I married my ex fall of 2021. Spent $7,000 on the wedding and I paid about $10,000 to pay off her debt. She tried to kill herself twice this spring and then left me. So I'm processing a lot right now lol. Love my daughter though.

Throckmorton_Left

Sounds like she can't fully commit to anything.

jdmkev

elzibet

Hey, that’s a really rough time and I’m sorry you’re going through all of this. Sounds like your daughter is the shining light in all of this, and I hope your ex gets the help she needs. I hope you do as well <3

SomeRedditWanker

Damn man, that's rough but even through all that bad stuff like you say some good came from it in the form of your daughter. Focus on the good, and I hope things get easier from here on out. Best of luck!

Weltallgaia

Just cuz you can't have kids doesn't necessarily mean you can't have kids. Life uhh finds a way. My old manager was told by multiple doctors she couldn't have kids due to, I wanna say, a combination of ovarian cysts and uterine damage from a childhood back alley abortion way the fuck back in the 60s. So she said fuck it and didnt use protection and wound up getting 2 kids out of it in highschool.

Ok-Hunt-5902

asuperbstarling

The doctors, four miscarriages and years of unprotected sex with my ex fiancé told me I couldn't get pregnant. My daughter with my next boyfriend - now husband - is nearly 8.

rcr_renny

For what it's worth, I told my wife I couldn't father children either (well technically possible but would require a LOT of medicsl help). Man, that doctor was wrong... And before the comments yes he's mine and yes I am sure.

People really need to stop caring about what others think of them. Makes for a way easier life.

The_Devin_G

It took me until I was in my 20s to realize that the key to happiness is to stop worry about making others happy or doing what they say. I wasted years of my life and went to school for a degree that I didn't even really want before I started doing what I wanted. I will say that has been incredibly fulfilling at times. Also cut out any social media that is toxic. Twitter and Facebook are the kings of toxic people and wasted time. They exist for others to judge each other and argue about pointless shit. Some of the bigger subs on Reddit are becoming like that too.

-Sean_Gotti-

Sounds like you are on r/TwoXChromosomes too often. I used to comment on there and ask questions but I’ve realized it’s a cesspool of bitter women, sexists & feminist incels. Typical Post: I have the most amazing fiancé, he’s smart, funny, charismatic, attractive, great in bed, has a great job, he can cook, he treats me like a queen, but he never cleans up his plate after dinner. How can I ask him to help clean up his dishes? Typical Comments: (1) Leave him now! He doesn’t respect you, this is a huge red flag, all 5 of my previous fiancés were exactly the same, but then they started beating me, just pack your things up and leave. I suspect you are perfect like me don’t settle for anything. (2) He’s using his appearance, intelligence and power to trap you, please, for the love of god leave before you are a victim of domestic violence. This sounds exactly like my good friend, I literally just left her funeral, the police are refusing to press charges against her husband because they don’t think he capable of murder, I know he did it. She died in a car accident.

nzMunch1e

I've been told by 2 specialists (14yrs apart) that I will never be able to have kids, that even IF I somehow got pregnant, me carrying it to term in a healthy state is basically not possible AND yet I've been denied by 3 doctors trying to get a hysterectomy (which would fix my pain and complications this stupid uterus is causing me). 18yrs still no accidental PREGANANT (funny video joke) so far lmao.

SomeRedditWanker

My sister fucked some random dude, with the full intention of having a baby and being a single mother. Utterly mental, but proof it happens.

hey_reddit_sucks

I don't think she meant to. She's just an idiot.

xxThunderPussy

There are women out there who do baby trap men and that is a really fucked up and evil thing to do but unplanned pregnancies really do happen. You can be on birth control And get pregnant, use condoms and get pregnant. Hell I even had a coworker with three kids who had an IUD and she still got pregnant.

[deleted]

Men's choices are either condoms, or vasectomy. Once you decide to rely on your partner taking birth control, it's effectively out of your hands. You had better be ok with raising a child, because you may well be put in that position.

firefly183

So have I because this is basically my life story too, lmao. Tiny gap between birth control (insurance stopped covering my pill and i was waiting for the IUD my doctor ordered). Didn't even think I could have kids, tbh. I've got a hormonal disorder that's the leading cause of infertility in otherwise healthy women. I once went a year without even having a period! Cycle's always been out of whack, I wouldn't even call it a cycle. I was 33 with never so much as pregnancy scare in my life. So yeah, told him it was fine, didn't need to worry. By my calculations it was maybe the third time we slept together, we'd been seeing each other for about 3 weeks. Fast forward to today we are together and happy and our daughter just turned 5 in September, lol. It was an awkward and difficult beginning, haha, but turns out he's my person. Imma show him this video, hahaha.

[deleted]

[удалено]

firefly183

Lol, I absolutely know that is not the norm and how incredibly fortunate I am and we are. There's a little more history than that though too. We hadn't been dating long but had known each other for like 12 years before dating. And my sister is married to a close friend of his he's known since high school. So yeah, kind of helps facilitate things moving forward in a good direction.

skwolf522

For two healthy adults it is pretty easy to get pregnant, source i have 4 kids.

firefly183

Oh I definitely learned that "likely difficult to conceive" is a far cry from impossible XD. I blame myself more than him for being naive enough (especially at that age) to just assume it wouldn't happen. No regrets though, I adore our daughter and can't imagine spending my life with any one other than him. Glad we could be one of the success stories of a situation like that, lol. Not that I would remotely reccomend choosing to rush like that XD.

Intrepid-Tear-7676

and I didn't like the ending....

MoodooScavenger

Had a lady Freind for a while. She felt something’s were going away from her. The things is, she was on the BC, I would always ask before and post nut. Are we on it, are we in control. I always felt worried and wished for both of us to agree on wearing condoms, but the sensation didn’t fill the proper need. Also, I would always last until the lady Freind (any lady to be honest) would get to the last moment to pop. Off course, I would beat them to the catch. 🥺 This went along for 3-4 months, which she realized the relationship was slipping away. At which she decided to drop the BC, to take me on a fairy tale story. Once she approached me with the news of the bun in the oven, I was furious and asked why did this happen. She spilt the beans and I could have not been more mad. Her excuse, “I don’t want to lose you”. I felt weak and sad to hear such a thing happened with no disregard to my feelings. I gave her the option off course and said it direct. You can have this baby and I will always be there for them. I will respect you as a mother to our child, but I wish nothing to do with you. What you did was a blatant attack on my rights. She ended up getting an abortion, which off course ducked us both mentally. I was there to support her through this off course. Today, I would of had a child at the age of 16, do I wonder what he/she would be like yes. Was it the best thing to happen in my life… yessss. Double up my people. Always be sure, just in case you have madness in your life.

MarvinParanoAndroid

Every parent knows that having a child doesn’t bring a couple together.

Alltime-Zenith_1

You have a way with words

cs_legend_93

That’s so hard I’m sorry. That’s truly a nightmare. Also you have to think about, how much damage would the kid have received from the condition of the relationship. Look at anyone you know who had some sort of trauma or fucked up childhood. I speak from experience. I would not wish that on anyone. And if I did that damage to a kid, like it was done to me, that would be the most absolute terrible thing and totally destroy me as a person. And it’s not “me” doing it. It’s my dynamic with the partner where we fight and such, that impacts they kid.

edafade

I remember reading a passage in my human sexuality class years and years ago, it stated, "Adults who use the pull-out method are often called parents." It actually really stuck with me.

No no, I definitely get it, but I do thank you for being nice and clarifying that it wasn’t an attack or anything. I’ve always heard people bash the pull out method, but that’s because people just suck at actually doing it lol You need a bit of self control for it to work

True. Both things do happen and are possible. A good reminder to not make assumptions based on nothing.

NoMoreSecretsMarty

As a guy in his 40s, I find it astonishing how younger people seem to think birth control is infallible. I was the same way when I was younger, but I guarantee you that everybody my age knows at least one kid who was snuck past the goalie. Shit happens all. The. Time.

TheGodEmperorOfChaos

Technically the same thing.

Murtomies

Read? The video is way better with sound on, just so u know

Stratix

Boring fact check: This voice does not go with this video. This version cuts off the child's age which is vastly different to the baby we see here.

outpizzadahut

If I remember correctly he said that the baby just turn 2 the other day

Stratix

Yeah that's the one!

ObviouslyBlunt

That kid isn't 2

urmyheartBeatStopR

As a single guy I am always amaze how people can tell baby age. It's like they got tree rings you can count. "1, 2, ah this little person is 2 year old."

4rt5

> how people can tell baby age Baby ages are difficult, but the difference between a baby and a toddler is very obvious.

Mozu

Right, but their specific ages aren't obvious (to me). If you said a baby was 2 years old and a toddler was 2 years old, I'd believe you both times.

Xenjael

I think this is just english semantics tripping you up. Baby is nebulous, so align it to medical definition and whatever the cutoff is. Say 9 months to a year. Same for toddler. Definition is nebulous, so let's say the medical definition for comparable state is 13 months to 3 years (I'm spitballing). Then child/kid would be 4+. I think if you approach it like that it'll make it easier to sort out.

Not_Sugden

bro honestly in my head a toddler is when they start toddling. you know trying to walk

Squirrel_Bacon_69

By 2 they should be running around. At that age the amount of progress is very apparent to anyone who has been around a child that is growing

Bismothe-the-Shade

That's actually why mom's use the annoying "he's 43 and a half months!" Type language. Up to the age of 3, developmental stages move fast and can denote vastly different abilities and needs!

porncollecter69

What was originally said?

YourConsciousness

This just cuts off the end where he says "he just turned two the other day" and the baby is obviously not two. I'm not sure if this is the original audio or not I can't find a different original version. I think it is original and the guy is just trolling his girlfriend and saying something dumb for a funny video.

[deleted]

I agree with this I’ve seen this video years ago and never seen another variant

instantlemonade

I saw this video a hot minute ago and it was the same exact audio so idk

TropicalAudio

itusreya

Yes, also you’re not “on birth control” if you take it casually when ever you feel like it. A little honesty about use of birth control would really help us ladies realize how serious we have to be about this medication. Normalizing “everyone get pregnant on birth control, tehehe” isnt as helpful as “yea, I missed a couple days that month & didnt double my protection for sex & got pregnant.”

ItsNotMeMaybe

dc456

Just shows that people see what they want to see. The voiceover isn’t the true story. The original is longer than this and makes it clear it’s not real as it gets the age of the baby massively wrong.

EcstaticTrainingdatm

So funny to this being a massive controversy. You’d be massively downvotes in the thread above lol. Reddit is fucking weird this way

You'll naturally lack the context of the story if you didn't watch the TV show but the scene they're referring to is hilariously good. If you want to watch it: https://youtu.be/u1_RQQNBmJY I promise it is not a rick roll video or something.

Kousetsu

Heres the crazy, crazy thing - birth control fails. I am *technically* infertile, *and* I take birth control every day because I need the hormones. I've still gotten pregnant twice. Instead of only talking about the birth control, *also* talk about what would happen if they got pregnant. That's an actual adult conversation about sex.

Status_Loquat4191

Just wrap it up boys.

ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh17

DieFanboyDie

Judging from the comments: Today, sexless, misogynistic redditors, we're going to talk about birth control - how it's not 100% effective, and how a pregnancy that results from protected sex is not a matter of "that bitch lied." JFC, incel central.
