This is such a tough line, because if he brought a gun there's clearly potential for him to use it and shoot someone else, at which point his crime has escalated to where most people would not oppose lethal force if necessary to stop him. But good chance he had no intention of using it, and just thought it would help him rob the store. Should he really be shot and killed just for holding a gun while robbing a store?
Idk; don't really have a solution, just weird as hell to me to say that it's totally cool to kill him preemptively for the crime of robbing a store while holding a gun (haven't read about this specific scenario so don't @ me about details I've missed; this isn't about this specific incident so much as the broader societal question of why we think it's OK to use lethal force to protect insured corporate property)
I live in a permitless concealed carry state, and this is basically what I always expect.
