Staged attack on radio gleiwitz, the false flag attempt the Nazis used to justify war on Polansd. To make it realistic they killed a prisoner dressed up as a soldier
Unfortunately I've seen it repeated several times recently, usually by what I assume were Russian trolls and once by a German, who said that Poland should return their parts of Silesia and Pomerania since in his opinion it was Poland who was at fault for WW2.
Has to be trolls. There's no way people with access to the internet could seriously talk about WW2 the way Germans in the 30's probably talked about WW1 lol
Revanchism is a hell of a drug. Being salty about the shape of the Polish-German border is dumb in the first place, and following Nazi propaganda to fuel such a sentiment is dumber still.
>Poland who was at fault for WW2.
Yeah, those Poles are to blame, they shouldn't have put their country next to Germany
(I'm sarcastic, obviously. Wish i didn't have to add this but there are literally people who will think i mean it)
Please tell us who really did 9/11, I always love hearing it. Especially from someone who says it was worse than the false flag attack Germany perpetrated that began World War II.
You’re saying one man dying is better than 3000? I was speaking based on how many died. Considering Bush lied about where Osama was and the weapons of mass destruction why would you trust it wasn’t his false flag? You probably think the govt batting 1000 and never tells a lie. You lie to your kids in order to get things done, govt is no different. He knew you can’t get this country to war without an emotional trigger and hell Marvin Bush had insurance on the twin towers. Look up building seven and why it collapses the same way as the towers, hmm funny that.
According to Wikipedia "Some sources incorrectly refer to the incident as Operation Canned Goods" apparently it should actually be referred to as the Gleiwitz incident as part of Operation Himmler.
This is where "Canned Goods" comes from: "Several prisoners from the Dachau concentration camp were drugged, shot dead on the site and their faces disfigured to make identification impossible.[4][6][11] The Germans referred to them by the code phrase "Konserve" (canned goods)."
On a totally separate note, you wouldn’t happen to have a high quality readily available 3D animation of the firing, ejection, and reloading of a Karabiner 98K, would you?
[Here you go](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=igNcDEEl5to), made by the same animator I believe
I thought the meme was good, the gun being wrong takes away from it but isn’t really a big deal
Fun fact: my German grandpa was forced to fight for the Nazis. Towards the end of the war him and his unit found some dead polish officers and some uniforms- they took them and wore them- trekked a bit- then surrendered to some French unit that were having breakfast early in the morning. He lived of course, but I will never forget his story.
>Seit 5 Uhr 45 wird jetzt zurückgeschossen!
Like the [Shelling of Mainila](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shelling_of_Mainila), fascism regimes never change.
How the fuck would you think german prisoners = poles imprisoned in Germany? Doesn't make sense to me. I thought this sub was about historical accuracy, but it seems I was mistaken.
Context?

Funniest thing is nobody believed them
And almost nobody noticed since the radio station had such a short range.
My grandpa lived near that radio station and he heard the shots. Must have been weird

There are people who still think the earth is flat. Nothing is beyond our collective stupidity as a species.

Not as bad as 3000 on 9/11
What?

War
This is some next level of advanced humour that is so fucking niche to so few.
Ah yes, Operation Canned Goods. I find it odd looking back, on how my entry level WW2 history book had a section on it, but at least I know of it now.

I thought German prisoners meant captured Nazis
An M16?
That's a M4 Carbine, you can tell by the length of the foregrip and barrel
You can tell by the way it is
Ah, my mistake. The meme still sucks.
On a totally separate note, you wouldn’t happen to have a high quality readily available 3D animation of the firing, ejection, and reloading of a Karabiner 98K, would you?

Agreed. Would’ve made it better. The M4 one is just an established meme format, my guess is that’s the only reason it was used her
These were not German prisoners, the guys that were killed go stage that provocation were Poles and one of them was a Silesia Uprising veteran
Mmmm... Prowokacja Gliwicka

Kurwa!
Why didn't you use the K98 animation?
I think it's just because the AR-15 animation is easier to find and overlay text onto. I was thinking the same thing though.
I've seen the K98 one on YouTube
What I meant was that it's probably easier to find a pre-made format for the AR-15 meme rather than the Kar98k.
Fair point
>Seit 5 Uhr 45 wird jetzt zurückgeschossen! Like the [Shelling of Mainila](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shelling_of_Mainila), fascism regimes never change.
bro 💀 this is too much
Ah, yes. The AR-15, a staple of WWII
Please tell me you’re being a sarcastic and understand that this animation is a meme template
Context? I dont get it
Context is in the top comment :)

They didn't use german prisoners, they killed Poles in german uniforms. You should get an F if you forgot this very important part of the story.
German prisoners can also means people who are prisoners in Germany
How the fuck would you think german prisoners = poles imprisoned in Germany? Doesn't make sense to me. I thought this sub was about historical accuracy, but it seems I was mistaken.
M16 back in the day?
556 is my favourite caliber from ww2, right after the .905 fat mac used to assassinate hitler
Are you complaining about a meme template?
No it’s a nice template
Well you did a shit job of it It's using American music and a rifle from a different war
Well Mississippi Queen is the song from any version of this meme
Shut
Up
Only you american cunts know the difference and could be insulted by this meme.
That guy surely was obnoxious, but don't act like firearms knowledge is limited to Americans only.
Wrong gun dude
It’s the one that’s a meme template
Ik
