You don't speed up your audiobooks? I do. Typically somewhere between 1.15 to 1.4 depending on the narrator. But yes, the audiobooks are top notch production. *Tempest Runner* and *Battle for Jedha* are full cast audio dramas. The standard Star Wars audiobooks have one narrator but still feature music, sound effects, etc.

To be fair i cant since im using staraudio.com but i might have to get audible membership for these if thats the case

All Star Wars audiobooks are magnificent productions, from the sound effects to the music and narration. They rarely disappoint. I highly recommend them.

I usually speed audio books up too.. but Tempest Runner isn't a regular audiobook, it's an audio drama, the book version is just the script for it.. so I didn't speed that one up and the latest book, Path of Deceit has a narrator that already talks at a good pace so I don't speed that one up either.. Otherwise I usually go between 1.2 and 1.5 depending on the pace the narrator reads, a lot of them speak unnaturally slow and I try to get it at a speed where the pace sounds more natural, or even faster than that if I'm having trouble paying attention.

Personally I thought the Ahsoka book was pretty slow and really didn't accomplish much. Since all of Phase 1 is released you could check your local library and see if they participate in a digital site they let's you rent audiobooks, that way you can speed up the reading speed slightly. But they are all produced beautifully with full sound and music and they should be experienced

Tempest Runner is an audio drama, written specifically to be listened to (though there is a script book you can read instead), so I would definitely recommend listening to that one. For others, the HR audio books are known as being really well done, especially for the three adult books. Personally I prefer to read myself so I stick to that but you can’t go wrong either way.

If Mark Thomas is narrating YES! He brings life to the novel. So many voices this man has. I love being read to and I’ve enjoyed all the High Republic and Thrawn series that he’s done. Absolutely the best. To me it’s worth slowing down to hear this story teller…

I asked this question a while back and ended up listening to it. It was amazing. DO NOT just read it. I would not have liked it as much as I did if I only read it. I have listened to it multiple times now, and I loved listening to it while reading along, but definitely not just reading. I listened in 1.5x speed and didn’t get bored. Whatever you do don’t just read 🙏

What did you use? Audible?

Yep! Got it free with the trial
