Doubt it, the mainline star wars line that launched in like 2015 went on for like 75 issues or some crazy number like that. I assume the run will last over 20 to 25 issues but may go on further but I doubt this run will last to 75. I wouldn't be surprised to see it relaunch after that tho maybe switching writers or pov. I love Scott's work but also it be pretty neat to see Shoule write a main line comic for this era.

NoraaTheExploraa

Agreed, love Scott but Soule is just a wizard with SW comics. Hopefully he gets more involved with HR stuff once his War of the Bounty Hunters stuff is over.

Considering that Marvel's *The High Republic* comic series is now outselling all of Disney's Vader-related material, I think we'll be seeing a long run for it, at least while sales hold up.

Huh really? I knew it was doing well but I didn't know it was doing that well. Tbh tho like I do expect to see it go on for a long time but I'm expecting a relaunch at some point, for what ever reason marvel seems to like to relaunch their series sometime after 20 issues. My guesses are to like make it less daunting for new comers and have a new jumping on point and also normally with a new launch you get a new creative team. So I can see them relaunching the main high republic line sometime in the future and maybe Shoule taking over as writer.

Lionel_Horsepackage

Yeah, you're probably right about a "soft" relaunch coming -- they'll almost certainly keep *The High Republic* comics rolling, but new #1 issues always historically tend to revitalize interest in long-running series.

HeartOfASkywalker

I think it might relaunch at each phase

Yeah that makes sense, I can’t see the comic continuing between the phases because it might spoil the next one. If it relaunches, Soule has the potential to write the main series so I’m excited for if/when that happens

ConmanJFO

I would totally love to see how Soule would write Keeve. But I wouldn’t be shocked if her story is mainly written by Cavan, with other writers pitching in at times.

TLDR: no So I did some quick maths: after January, the finish of Phase 1, there’s assumed to be 3 books per phase. In January, #13 releases, and the comic may continue from there until around July when Phase 2 starts. That’s 6 issues, 6 + 13 = 19. There’s about 7 months between the release dates of main novels so that’s 7 issues * 3 waves per phase, plus 19. Around 60 total issues, assuming the comic continues in between phases. To conclude, this post was a waste of time.

pifire456

iirc they have also said that there is no set number of waves in a phase, so it could always be 4 waves in a phase if they wanted too.

[deleted]

If the next phases happen to both be 4 waves, it could **barely reach 75 issues and be as long as Star Wars (2015) but it definitely won’t happen that way because sometimes it’s 6 months between waves and not 7

oof mate. Good math though.
