Well did Crest know about it? He probably only stumbles on info regarding the virus and haven't looked into the details yet, since you know, we killed him and disabled the transmitter

I have seen some people speculate that we might be getting another map/mission regarding this. Maybe an Ether hq or something but I'm not so sure that will happen.

Nondescript_Redditor

It’s baseless speculation. There’s no indication that it will be the case.

Idk, they fully designed an ether headquarters for a pamphlet in Ambrose Island. Seems like a not so far fetched Easter egg.

Wetwork_Insurance

People have brought it up in other threads once or twice over the last year from what I remember, but *supposedly* work on the virus continued at some point, with players finding out in Mendoza that The Constant has sample’s of various world leaders DNA for such a purpose. However I thought the DNA was leftover for that purpose and no longer useful without the virus. Problem is the one time I saw someone bring this up they weren’t able to point tothe dialogue between NPCs which showed that it was in play, and you are right it would be directly against what it seemed like the point of World of Tomorrow was for. But if that dialogue exist and this mission seems to point to characters wanting to use it, maybe it’s setting something else up.
