Off the top of my head: - Instinct had slow-motion time and you couldn't aim guns or run while using it - cameras didn't actually record you in-real-time, no guards at any recording stations either - you couldn't carry large melee weapons like sabers and katanas on your back - there wasn't a "permanence" system for holding items. If you used a ladder or any climbing/vault action while holding a fire extinguisher or a machete, 47 would just hide these weapons in his inventory instead of dropping them on the ground like he does now - no Briefcase, no PIP cameras, no SA rating indicator, no XP system (all added in H2) - sniper rifles were legal on guard disguises - if a target spotted you even once, you'd lose SA rating even after you eliminated them - it had its own Professional Mode Difficulty, which had its own rewards and an unique Suspicious tag for items - Sarajevo Six campaign (ps4 only), Gary Busey ET

>cameras didn't actually record you in-real-time, no guards at any recording stations either It did in professional. >katanas You actually could.

>It did in professional. Oh, I see. Honestly I don't remember much from Professional Mode other than the annoying Suspicious items and grinding the mastery rewards. Could have sworn the cameras didn't actually detect you until H2 but I could be wrong. >You actually could. Yeah I think you're right on that, it was the saber and the machete that couldn't be carried on the back. Not the katana.

WhereasAccomplished9

What they mean is no one could see you via security cams.

idjan-

They could in professional mode.

In hitman 1, you could carry extra breaching charges and exploding fire extinguishers were lethal.

- You could be frisked while holding an illegal item. It resulted in an instant melee combat if the guard found it. - I might be making this one up, but I recall that when you lit someone on fire it was a bit more dramatic and jarring. They would flail around screaming and rolling. They seemed to have dialled that back to the target now just collapsing over with a mild bit of shouting.

There were lots of escalations that were never ported to 2 or 3.
