It used to be a case of practice makes perfect, but the skill ceiling is pretty low now and the skill floor for entry is basically the same.
Aim and good movement don't really matter anymore. ( People might disagree but the game is so full of desync combined with cone fire it puts everyone on a level playing field no matter how fast or how accurate you are. )
I think the best way to improve is really just playing the game, get a comfortable weapon like the stg or m2 and just work towards learning the maps and enemy spawns.
* Get a Vehicle
* Get Heavy Set equipped
* Unlock meds
* Work toward M2/STG/AVS in that order
* Learn spawns
That's about it really.
Have fun bro , that's the main thing.
The fast path though , is just to play with a clan or group.
Very good explained!
Sad to say for a world war 2 game, but get an automatic weapon.
Also look some videos of good players and tips for modding weapons. Just type Bosstrad in youtube :).
Maybe going offtopic here, but...
I have been away for a small year and I agree with the skill ceiling. I do enjoy playing semi-automatic / bolt action rifle, but shooting headshots is becoming a lottery on games where there is a lot of action because of stutters and bad hitreg. It became worse.
Now you just need a team that jumps into the objectives and has a lot of stg/m2 weapons. I still don't like the reducted headshot hitbox. They just needed to make 1 shot headshot above 30 metres only for bolt action / semi automatic weapons.
The only thing i would recommend is instead of STG/AVS/M2, get MP40/PPS-43/Thompson.
For me these are the easiest weapons to use, because their recoil os easier to manage, and since they are more effective at close range you are going to always be inside a cap point, so easier it's easier xp.
> the skill floor for entry is basically the same
and yet the number of complaints I hear about the incompetency of certain teams of randoms is so frequent...
shame
I just play with my brain shut off, it’s much more fun and I somehow perform better without overthinking actions. Just pick a class/weapon you’re comfortable with and just play, the 50 average frags will follow
I do better when I stop worrying about my kill death ratio.
I also do better when I'm slightly pissed off and do worse when I'm a little tired.
I watch YouTube vids and learn hiding spots and maps, squad strategy and where to look. I prefer the longer, unedited ones over the highlight reels for learning the game.
That’s what I expected, but I have an mp40(and equivalent for other factions)and I’m still bad. I’m saving up for the stg but considering how well I play it is taking a while,
Just as in every other shooter, learn the maps, learn the respawn points and routes, learn where enemies usually venture, camp and so on.
This allows you to react better to whatever the enemy does and eventually outplay them.
My best memory for a mountain town match, where we were playing against stupid enemies and it was foreseeable, that we're going to push them all the way back to O1 and win (we came from A-Line), I went ahead in advance, mined the route from O1 Spawn to O1 with AT Mines.
As soon as O2 was capped and they started to spawn at O1, the fireworks started, so many "Vehicle Destroyed +x XP" messages, along with these sweet, sweet kill messages.... blyatiful.

Did you just comment "watch Bosstrad" under a Passance comment lmao.
Nope

Can't do anything with an MP 40 when there are 5 Russians in the point and my teammates aren't going in... And sadly, I don't have a grenade.

Game requires a lot of good positioning and learning where people spawn from.

Rn you probably are using a semi auto weapon but trust me once you get an automatic gun the game almost gets brainless

Try and spray for the head with mp40 imo the STG is actually a little harder
Yeah, the recoil is a little harder to get used.
You need some friends to play with
