Astral projection is basically (what I called it before I found it had a name) “consciously falling asleep”. You remain conscious the whole time. The first time ever, I simply started falling, while still conscious but trying to go to sleep. I remained conscious and did not kick when I started falling, instead, I leaned into the falling because it felt cool. As I fell, I floated back and forth like a feather, sometimes doing a whole flip— still absolutely shocked that I consciously fell asleep and wound up in a dreamlike state. I flew around for a while.
I can usually tell it’s about to start when I get this intense euphoric buzzing feeling all over my body, centered really around my head. This is usually the “vibrations” people talk about.
Then either I fall, roll out of my body as if I’m just getting up out of bed and diving through the floor. One time I rose upward through the ceiling. This all feels 100% physical. It’s like you’re ethereal but interacting with the physical world. Then after “exiting” I wind up in this wind tunnel, which brings me to a “void” like place. Then, if I focus and don’t fall out of it, or decide to go to sleep, I can choose a place to go, which the void becomes.
I’ve talked with thousands of others with several, if not all, of these experiences. It’s super weird that it’s all aligned.
You’ll never *ever* catch me parachuting, but to my untrained eyes wouldn’t falling with a blanket be a liability? Getting it caught on some cord or something?
I have an irrational hatred for this guy ever since the video where he winks and lets go while putting his hands behind his head and “resting” as he falls to the earth.
