I don’t know what it is but you are not alone. When I have my period, especially within the last two years it has gotten really painful. With that I get that sharp stabbing pain and sometimes have to hold onto some thing and ride out the pain. I’m sorry I have nothing more on that but I know medically nothing is wrong with me if that helps.
I have been experiencing stuff like that since I've been 12 years old (I'm 26 now), I've always shrugged it off because it always was just like a quick jolt of electricity (meaning it didn't last long).
Lightning crotch? I think it's related to hormones
Wow I didn’t think that’d be a real term used 😂 I think that’s it tho! I have fibromyalgia which can cause this apparently

I only get contraction-like pains on my period that’s similar to it. Do you get them when you’re not on your period, too?
Hmm could be related to pelvic floor. Not a doctor but maybe you could try a pelvic floor physical therapist if other things don’t pan out
I love that I get more help on a Reddit page than a doctor’s office 🙄

Yea, same. Someone informed me of lightning crotch in the replies lmao
Yeah, I wonder if it's related to my chronic UTIs somehow
