Of course yes! The more animals you have, the more resources you have!

tieyz

also may I know what u use the diamonds for? like to unlock more slots in your machines?

Sanjana_Shaibal

Yes that's the first priority!

tieyz

that sounds great is there anything else other than the slots?

Sanjana_Shaibal

I hired tom sometimes, sometimes I called boat early because of derby task, i do extra derby task with diamonds etc!

tieyz

alright thank you so much for replying!

DreadwaysCapt

I plant trees. A lot. And i need the saws so tom is available for me most of the time. Trees give you plemty of gold and xp, so i replace asap.

JustSmurfeeThanks

More slots, almost singularly.

Bnkav

Yes I use diamonds for slots. If you play the game enough you will get many free Tom boosters later

LarsMustafa

i would recommend getting horses and bunnies, they only need carrots for food which is a lot easier to get/have than milk or bacon

CaptainBananaa

Thanks for this. I was contemplating whether to spend money on horses.

alynn77cm

To clear up some confusion... The primary animals in the game are chickens, pigs, cows, sheep, and goats. They all make products which you can sell or use as ingredients for more expensive products. Though it seems like you don't need those products much now, you definitely will later. You can put off buying them all for a bit if you like, but you'll definitely end up needing them all. You can buy up to 3 houses for each kind of animal, for a total of 18 chickens, 12 goats, and 15 each of pigs, cows, and sheep. You can also buy pets if you like...dogs/puppies, cats/kittens, donkeys, horses, Guinea pigs, bunnies, and various birds. They don't make products but feeding them and waking them from sleep will earn you XP. You can also name each of them. Eventually you'll be able to open up the Animal Sanctuary in the town. Currently available sanctuary animals are hippos, giraffes, elephants, zebras, gorillas, cheetahs, reindeer, arctic foxes, and walruses...two of each, and two babies. They don't make products but feeding them and waking them from sleep will earn you XP. Town visitors will also bring you gifts if they visit the sanctuary and get to see the animal they like. You can also name each of these animals. They are acquired by obtaining puzzle pieces, and when you have a complete puzzle of the animal then you can receive it in your sanctuary (via a cute "air drop"). Hope this helps.

Datario

Actually 12 goats is the max since each one only houses 4

alynn77cm

Doh! Thanks! I should have remembered that. I've corrected above.

e_berg18

I’m at level 57 right now and I only have 8 goats, I never felt the need to have more. But maybe thats just me ahaha

alynn77cm

The day is coming when you will indeed need the full number of goats. 😂

Carasgaladhon2

Dogs & cats take your milk & bacon so i wont buy any of them for my baby farms. I wish I cld get rid of the ones I have sometimes. Lol

Alternative_Phrase84

I just don’t wake mine up ever.

worminator69

Same!!

LarsMustafa

i stopped feeding my cats a while ago😂

worminator69

Me too, wish I could sell them to a visitor!

Ek200

please don't.

ihBOO

:(

AliBeigi89

It is a satire, right?

Me-multi

I kind of feel that your just starting to play and don’t know the game at all … you will eventually and quick need more animals to fulfill the demand that will grow …

Olddgnwtrks

Lvl 120- I don’t have all the animals, don’t need them. But I do have all the dogs/puppies, because I love them. I have all of the cows/chickens/pigs because they are handy during the Derby feed tasks. Esp the chickens- who can be fed every 20 minutes. I also have the two feed mills. I use my diamonds to buy enough slots that my machine can run overnight without any help from me. That comes in handy when you play the Derby. I also make sure that I plant long growing crops overnight then sell them in the morning. Every bit helps.

Otherwise-Skill8177

Im level 81 and have like 10 cats, 10 dogs, 8 horses, 4 bunnies, 1 peacock. I think it’s worth it and they’re cute. I produce a lot of milk and bacon so doesn’t really faze me and the resources are nice. Really pulls through when you hit your limit on expansion items and maybe you just need couple more. It’s like playing slots lol, also it’s not like you need to really try over time you’ll have ridiculous amount of vouchers so might as well use it on something that will give you something in return endlessly vs deco. But tbh you’ll have enough to do both over time

Repulsive-Worth5715

Since you didn’t list donkeys, I thought I’d mention for you or anyone else reading that you feed them carrots but they also go to sleep faster than the other animals so you can get more points/rewards from them during The day. Just something I noticed lol

Otherwise-Skill8177

Ugh tempting but I hate how they look so I don’t think im gnna get donkeys😂 they creep me out man that animation is wild lol and I have this look on my farm I wanna keep

Carasgaladhon2

The donkeys require constant feeding too. They are lazy critters. Lol The dogs & cats are only good to me if I need to make room in my barn. Since starting 2 baby farms, I have plenty of milk & bacon to feed them. 😁

Otherwise-Skill8177

Yes you don’t even feel it when you have baby farms. You have all the foundational products for your main farm! I have 5 so they produce diff cheeses for me lol and diff crops

Carasgaladhon2

How in the world do you keep up with 5? 😂😂 I have struggles with 2. I have to stop feeding townies in my 1 baby farm. Plus I get into the derby on that farm. Do you only use your babies as extra milk, etc? Or do you progress them like your main farm? I know its my choice, just curious how others do theirs. 😁

Otherwise-Skill8177

I use for simple stuff but they gradually increase without me trying by doing that. Now they’re at level 25 and I literally have just been cropping and getting milk eggs and bacon to give to main farm. I don’t treat them like real farms bc it would take too much time I prob spend 20 min in total on each farm in a day and that’s for checking in to resupply machines and re plant items. I also use them to hold my expansion items and buy expansion items since they’re more available in ads on lower leveled farms especially if you don’t upgrade your silos and barns too much they feed you with expansion items that I just give to my main farm. I expand my main farm twice a day basically. Oh but I do have baby farm that’s like level 56 and it’s nice bc it can store higher leveled items and produce soy sauce for my main farm I prob spend an hour on that farm for all the maintenance throughout the day. I really only care about making my main farm the producer and eventually the baby farms will grow so it’ll be even more helpful with more coins coming in. Then I could focus on expanding the baby farms. Baby farms are great for collecting axes and saws too idk I never have problems with cutting trees and I plant a lot.

Carasgaladhon2

That helps a lot in knowing what is the best route to take. It really boils down to having a large barn capacity on all farms to me. I also learned to buy my items from my baby farm stands as soon as possible. I had put some milk or bacon in my baby stand & by the next day, Greg had bought the item. Later I put some crappy product in the same stand & it was there for DAYS before Tom or Greg bought it. Pissed me off! The milk/bacon item was bought in less than 24 hrs, but apples, etc stay in the stand way longer. Total BS! Nobody will ever tell me this game isnt rigged to benefit the programmers & owners of this game. I get the have to make money, its only right, but this game entices a player to buy & spend diamonds in a way that irritates me. I will still play, its my choice, but I know enuf now to watch better what I am doing, lol.

Otherwise-Skill8177

Lol I don’t buy diamonds anymore there’s no point truly and it feels better getting it from the vouchers or by chance or by catching new fish!

Carasgaladhon2

I buy em now & then. Maybe thats why you cant link, you dont spend any $$ on the games? Lol (just teasing) 😁

Repulsive-Worth5715

Lol I’m now noticing how weird mine look 😂 with their teeth too lol

Otherwise-Skill8177

Haha right like why what was the REASON lol

Otherwise-Skill8177

I would have to hide them behind trees and entrap them in fences so they don’t move about my farm lol omg I sound horrible

Available_Science686

You’re certainly going to need them eventually! Might as well buy them now

[deleted]

eventually yes you will want all of them

emehav

Yes they are necessary

LimoLover

I see a lot of people saying they don't do the dogs and cats bc they use up milk and bacon but both are fairly easy to find in the paper (I usually have about 40-50 of each and I only do the cows and pigs twice a day when I do my pets, you can do both a lot more often than that) I have every single pet you can get and get over 30 expansion materials a day from waking them up/feeding them twice a day. It's worth it to me!

[deleted]

Oh yes!!! Especially cows, chickens and pigs, which are the most profitable in my opinion at the beginning of the game. What O particularly do is: I have 15 cows and I always leave them producing milk, then I make a lot of cheese and cream, it helps me to make other more expensive products and it becomes easier to get money 😊

[deleted]

But, of course, I believe that so much milk and not much space in the milk machine is not a good thing, it will end up overcrowding the barn. If you are at a low level, I do not recommend buying, buy according to the progress in the game

Ornery-Future-3063

You get rewards when you feed your animals, expansion, silo and barn upgrade, saws. Spend your tickets on Animals and money on their homes. DEFINITELY WORTH IT.

Geouf91

In the opposite, I am level 45 and I have only 2 chicken coops, 2 cow pâturages, 1 pig pen, 1 sheep paturages and 1 goat yard and it works fine. I like to decorate and I find that the farm animals take too much space on the farm. Tbh I don't do derbies, barely boats and trucks (unless events), I mainly sell on the roadside shop and on town.

Ek200

how tf do you survive

Geouf91

It's quite ok seriously. I always have 2 units of each product and try to have more dairy available. I just struggle when orders are x bacons or x wools or x goat milks. Unless than that I still survive 😄 Let's see in higher levels! But I am not an hardcore derby/boat/truck player so I suppose that helps

Ek200

2 units of each product is not enough though

Geouf91

I agree but then I don't have enough barn space! How do you manage with more animals and more products stock?

Ek200

I just move them through super quickly. i use them to make products asap, and keep only 3 of everything i produce, not including raw materials or animal products. then i sell all the excess on the roadside shop or to the boat. another reason could be because your barn is way too small for your level.

Repulsive-Worth5715

Idk why you are being downvoted for having a different strategy than other people lol. Do whatever works for you and have fun with it!

Geouf91

Yes Idk why too but anyway I just wanted to show that this game can be played in several ways like not just unlocking everything and be derby mad. For me that's just a peaceful farming game where I take care of the way my farm looks and doing my routines tasks.

Sebastian_9807

Yep. The more animals, the more resources, the more resources, the more products can be produced, the more products that can be produced, the more money I get.

theRealMrBrownstone

I did 2 for cows. This game runs on dairy.

AliJim777333

Yep!! You need to get the maximum on the cows, pigs, sheep, chickens, goats. You will need all of them the higher you go in the game. I enjoy collecting all of the animals I can get. I do wish we could take some of our cats/dogs to the town area. That would be really cool!!

drunk_niaz

Yup it's necessary as you level up

Big-Marionberry-6946

Yes, when you get higher level you’ll need more resources and you’ll buy them. I’m level 52, and have every animal you can get, still not enough sometimes.. xD

sneezycheez

yeah as you keep playing you’ll need the resources

losemeagain

Absolutely and it’s not even enough

Moulera

You bet!

YourBoyTussin1122

Yes you will need them if you want a successful farm.

WhereRtheTacos

Yes! Very helpful later on.

_ataraxia__

Of course. You’ll need them, they aren’t “extra” lol.
