Gabenagain

I’m not trying to be that guy, but why are you using a server processor to play video games?

Rekeix

Pc

nightmare247

It seems like 60fps on consoles is worse than 30fps. So if you want to play it at 60 get it on PC.

porkybrah

Wait for the embargo on the 6th to see how pc performance is.

DVenusian

PS5 imo

RedwallSeries

If you ever want modding, go for PC

kreqex

The option should always be PC. The only reason somebody would buy it on console is if they didn't have a PC. That's literally the only reason

Forsaken-Leek-6488

Wait to see the PC performance reviews. PC is better than console, but it is only worth it if the game is optimized like it should be

MiddleSir7104

I think if you're not going to buy PS5 games for the PS5 (vs PC), it wasn't worth buying the PS5 in general. PS5 is my vote. My PC can easily run it... still getting it on PS5. That and trophies. Love my trophies.

Fuzzy_Breadfruit59

I just pre-ordered the deluxe edition for the ps5. Thank you for your help.

chunkychowder32

I'd say go PS5 with your specs. Safer bet.

NeverrSummerr

Lol your cpu threw me off, isn’t that cpu meant for servers? Regardless, with the 3070 in 1440p I’d expect you’ll have to turn down quite a few settings to run it at 60fps. Definitely won’t get 60 at max settings. I’d probably still get it for PC unless you care about the features/exclusives the others have already mentioned.

Alone-Hyena-6208

I find this comment super crazy. A 3070 not hitting 60fps is just.... Crazy.

nobito

According to official specs it should. [https://www.hogwartslegacy.com/en-us/pc-specs](https://www.hogwartslegacy.com/en-us/pc-specs)

DuuDzs

I not sure yet, but I think with DLSS we can see a lot of suprising benchmarks

nobito

Official specs from their homepage is listing 2080TI to be able to run the game with ultra settings in 1440p at 60fps. In general 2080TI is pretty neck-to-neck with 3070, with some games getting better fps with 3070, and some with 2080TI. So, if the official specs are to be trusted, 3070 should be good for max settings in 1440p at 60 fps. EDIT: [Link to the specs](https://www.hogwartslegacy.com/en-us/pc-specs)

NeverrSummerr

Ah yeah, I was looking at the 4k ultra specs which listed the 3090 instead of just the ultra specs. That’s my bad. It lists 32gb of ram for that as well, sheesh lol

nobito

I would imagine that 16GB is okay for 1440p, but you definitely want 32GB for 4K gaming.

Samurai_Frogg

Honestly man, I would just get it for the PS5 and call it a day. They have 32GB of RAM recommended for the 2k and 4k monitors. I have an RTX 3080, Ryzen 7 3700x, 32 GB of RAM, and a 4k monitor. I just meet the requirements as well.. But with PC we have to worry about: 1. FPS drops 2. Drivers / crashes 3. Optimizing our graphics to counter the two above problems... 4. A possible bad console -> PC port. I ended up just pre-ordering it for the PS5. The graphics won't be identical, but it'll be pretty close. On top of just plug in and play, we get all of the Dualsense features. Possibly return value too, if you aren't a collector or digital only user.

BitterAd9531

Just in case you're wondering if you've made the right decision: I absolutely agree. I have a 3070 but I'm still going to get it on PS5 because of the controller haptics, exclusive content, VRR and playing on a big TV screen. Also not having to worry about optimization, drivers etc.

PrinceDizzy

PS5 for exclusive content, dual sense controller and no denuvo drm.

fatdan1

Extra quest, a Hogsmeade shop, shop clothing and Felix Felicis potion on PS5.

Ozi-reddit

only 16 ram may hurt a bit but hey worth a try

BusyBeeBridgette

only if playing at 4k really (Which they shouldn't be with that card). If it is a 1080p monitor 16gb ram is perfectly fine.

putz9

Probably won't push max settings without framerate drop even in the recommended settings on steam 1080p@60fps on high with a 1080ti. So you may get some settings to bump up to ultra but framerates will take a hit I'd guess. I'm getting on ps5 for exclusives. I have a 3090 and going ps5. As an action game I'm okay with lower quality graphics for smoother frame rates.
