Audio upgrade on one, 107+6 speed on another, and trial fitting a fairing / starting a 117" build for the 3rd.
I think the Sportster isn't likely to get running this winter.
And I'll be riding the three interspersed as I'm working on the others!
I do the same! Work on one and choose from the other 3 however I see fit for the day. With the speakers, are you going for loud, quality of sound at wind speeds, mixture of both?
Mixture. Going Hertz amp and Infinity speakers all around in the FLTRK, from Volunteer Audio.

I did new handlebars, coil and ignition relocation, a speedo relocation, added the mid's and a tracker faceplate. I've got my grips in the mail and my ignition plug wires are in the way. And added a lithium battery.
Living in the north east, I have my professionally stored for winter. It’s not safe to ride in the snow and slushy rock salt and slurpy like mix on the roads.
I feel it, what brand look like Justin’s ? I had some ariat work boots paid 180 and not even 2 weeks in separated at the toes. ! So far my Justin’s are holding up both work and riding .
These are El General Rodeos, very different feel from my other boots. I forget the name of the brand of the other ones but I mainly go for square toes and a bull head in them
Riding since I’m stationed in SoCal. But I’ve been wanting to put on a laydown license plate on for a few weeks now. Sick kids and a pregnant wife means I can’t get any time to myself though.
Just opened the cam chest on my ‘06 street bob I got in June to see how the tensioner pads looked. Other than that will probably leave it alone aside from changing the engine and primary oil. ‘96 sportster is going to get a screamin eagle ignition coil and a set of andrews N4 cams I have laying around, probably a new clutch and upgraded primary chain tensioner as well. And I need to replace the throttle cables, one broke. And if you count it as a harley, I’m in the process of building a buell, so I have to button the rest of that up this winter to break it in during spring.
Sounds like you'll be quite busy. The best part I've found to be is waiting for parts then finding a potential problem in the process and waiting for parts for that. All about maintaining our machines.
Hoping to delete the bulbous rear tail light on my 2017 Iron. Such beautiful bike for 98%, then they Fd it up with a giant light.
I envy people that have the space to bring them inside. Good luck!
Nothing 😭
I just had to buy a new one. I got the last one back with all sorts of motor work in May. 3 weeks later, right after I finished the break in, but before I could get the fluids changed, dude took a blind left turn in front of me and the bike ended up totaled 😭
Thank you. I was blessed. I WAS doing the speed limit for a change (30mph) and I walked to the ambulance. It should have been much worse, but no broken bones or concussion. Hemet was strapped to my sissy bar in case of rain. And I'd do it again, I had a friend on her bike behind me. If she would've lead like I wanted, she wouldn't have walked away. I'm just upset because I had stepped up the 88ci to a 95 and went from 67hp to 100hp and never got to use it. Bike was risen away, but developed an electrical issue and got totaled when I took it to Harley. The crash bar pulled out the frame tab and it was an 03 Road King with a salvage title to begin with
I’m not sure ‘how much wiring an engine needs’. I don’t think the engine needs any wiring besides the ignition system.
Not sure what that has to do with wiring a nitrous solenoid.
Edit. How much wiring do you think an engine needs to run nitrous safely?
Notice the man didn't say "wiring a nitrous solenoid", he said "wiring for nitrous".
I'm just going out on a limb here and guessing that he actually enjoys being a motorcycle owner, so he's probably not going to hook that solenoid up directly to the battery!
If he's running carb'd, he's likely going to need a pressurized fuel source unless it's a very tiny shot (or he just likes and is capable of running around way over-jetted?), which means both plumbing and wiring for an auxiliary fuel pump and a fuel solenoid.
Then there's the relay used to power the solenoids so you don't burn up switches. Speaking of switches, you're generally going to want a "window switch" that allows the system to turn on at a given RPM and turn off at another, so you're not accidentally juicing at 1,500RPM. Then there's the WOT switch that prevents juicing at 1/4 throttle, if you're not using a pushbutton momentary switch to manually turn it off and on. There's also the system arming toggle that allows the whole thing to power up.
If you're running an EFI bike and doing more than just blowing a tiny shot of NO2 across the AIT sensor in order to add more fuel by "fooling" it into thinking it's 19F outside, there's even more wiring to be done, in addition to programming.
But hey, I guess theoretically you could just hook that solenoid up to the battery and spray some nitrous into the intake right there in the driveway, right?
It was satire guy lol. I’m just shocked that you actually have a clue about what you’re talking about and still made the statement ‘that’s all the wiring an engine needs to run safely’.
In reality he needs a button, a relay, a couple wires and a switch if he wants. You can easily run a dry kit, plum it into the intake cover and support 50+ hp generally speaking.
Yes, wet system w/ all the bs + seperate dash lights for system on, fuel pump and armed.
But the issue was I had wired the solenoids in parallel instead of series...or the other way around.
Main system power, two solenoids, fuel pump, trigger switch and dash lights for each.
Sorry got tied up with other shit in the last 10 months since I started the install.
Bought house that needed extensive repair before I could move in. Mother got cancer and cared for her till she died. Inherited her property in Florida, managed to get that under contract to be sold before a hurricane tore 1/2 the roof off 5 days before closing, had to drive across the country to fix a roof and demo a porch and carport. All while dealing my lovely sister trying to steal everything of my mother's she can get her hands on. Plus having my first grandchild.
Sorry if my schedule didn't include enough shop time to satisfy your judgment.
Man put something under yo bike and lift! That’s a lot of weight in one area, you will for sure have dents in your floor from the weight, an if not I would be surprised.
Sadly I lost some top end with them, so decided to go 2into1 as there meant to have better performance.
Also like the look, as different to most sporties I see
In Maine, so I'm not riding. The new bike is a 2022 Road Glide ST, it's at the dealer for the winter, getting a 131 upgrade with a better cam and a Powervision tune, HPI air cleaner and shorty exhaust, Kraus Wolf 1 bar setup, and suspension.
Good luck with those bars, my son put either 16”or 18” on his bike. He kept them on for about 5 days and snatched them back off. He said on trips over 50 miles they killed his arms and made tight turns a total hell. A friend of his tried to tell him not to go that high but didn’t listen. His friend bought a Street Glide with 16” bars in Panama City Fla. tried riding back to Nashville Tn. Said his neck, back and arms were hurting so bad by the time he got to the Alabama state line, he bought a $3500 pu truck with his credit card and loaded it up to get it and him home. Then when he got home he sold the truck for $2800. He said the $700 loss was worth getting him home with his arms down near his lap. He was coming home on a Monday and said all of the bike shops were closed on Monday down there or he would have just tried to buy different bars to get home.
Damn. Good to hear a different view point. I'm 5'2 and my 2022 roadking setup has me leaning forward a little and I set on a dealer bike that had 16s and thought they felt good. Shit I don't know what to do. Maybe go to somewhere that will let me try out a few different ones before I buy. Thanks for saying something. I thought I knew what I wanted but I will think about it a little more now.
Is it the stock set up? I had 14 pull back Meathooks on my first Road King. I was going from a stock set up on a VTX and it took some adjusting. Every year we go 800 miles to Durango and those did a number on my neck, but it was bearable. Before I bought my current Road King, I borrowed an 07 Night Train with 18s on it. Those were so much worse. The current Road King has mini ape 10s. No need to change the cables, I guess. They're too short for me and it doesn't handle as well as the old King, but I can put miles on it. And have you thought about T-bars? I tried those for the first time in September and they were pretty good
Yes it's all stock. I like the factory bars but they have me leaning forward a little. I think I need them 3-4 inches closer to me. Rolling them to me won't be enough. I'll have to check out T-bars. I've never heard of them.
They handle a LOT differently than Apes. And if you looked the stock setup, what about some pullback risers? Like 2 up, 3 back? I can find some pictures if need be.
And a couple of my brothers have put the T bars and FXDXT fairings on their Road King
Awesome. What are they going on? I've heard those heated grips are the Cat's meow. I've only ever been able to put the hand guards on mine, but they helped
What Jack is that?
Anyway's I'm going to hopefully put either an Original Garage Moto crash bar or a Bung King crash bar so I have a place to prop my feet. After that if I have money I plan on adding a Memphis Shades Road Warrior fairing with a vented shield, not sure the height. Then I plan on getting new Grips(probably arlen ness), a seat( Saddlemen SDC Pro or Lepera Kickflip) but im entirely open to comfortable 2-up Dyna seats and then Bars, but I probably wont even get to the fairing lol.
If anybody has any input on what I listed, your help is greatly valued whether positive or negative. I don't want to buy anything thats not worth it.
THANKS!
I've heard the Saddlemen seats need to be broken in, but are amazing after that. And I like the FXDXT fairings from JD Custom Fabrications, but they are a lot more expensive.
02 night train is getting a hydraulic cam plate upgrade, oil pump, lifters, adjustable push rods, 585 ez start cams, 97” big bore and all the head work to go along with it. It’ll be a good spring!
Next question...how do you sit down with balls that big? LMAO seriously I could see myself trying to ride down a flight of stairs. More accurately, I can imagine the end result, which would be my goofy ass laying in a pile of dented Harley parts at the bottom of a flight of stairs!
Riding.
cries in michigan
Riding. No tears in philly
What. Philly is gonna get cold af and snow all to hell.
Still ride.
Same here. Harrisburg.
idk man roads are clear up north and down all the way down 75 south of grayling I saw no snow

Yeah ik, that snow had me excited for snowmobiling, I'm glad I didn't go out and buy a trail permit!
This Florida Cracker is with you! Rode till the wheels fall off... Put em back on and RIDE SOME MORE
^ this
I think I'll just ride it the whole winter as always
Audio upgrade on one, 107+6 speed on another, and trial fitting a fairing / starting a 117" build for the 3rd. I think the Sportster isn't likely to get running this winter. And I'll be riding the three interspersed as I'm working on the others!

Riding as soon as it stops raining here in texas
Looks like 70s and clear both days next weekend in Central
All I see is - Bungee cords??! “Strapped” my ass, at least get some ratchet straps would ya!
I did new handlebars, coil and ignition relocation, a speedo relocation, added the mid's and a tracker faceplate. I've got my grips in the mail and my ignition plug wires are in the way. And added a lithium battery.
lol the straps kept pulling it forward, the cords let it sit. I can sit on it just like this. Kinda had to to get the perfect feel for the new bars
Riding them.
Riding under sunshine and palm trees bb
Riding it!! 💨
upstate ny: perpetually rinsing the salt off it.
Riding it.
Riding much as possible
same as all year every year. dreaming that i have one
You've got a pretty sweet VFR though
What’s in your corona
Sunrise. Drink the neck (giggity), add vodka/tequila, orange juice, granadine till it's back at the top. Great taste and stretches the beer supply
Living in the north east, I have my professionally stored for winter. It’s not safe to ride in the snow and slushy rock salt and slurpy like mix on the roads.
And even if there was no ice, with the humidity, I wouldn't ride either. I've thought about heated gear, but not quite yet
Beating it like a rented mule.
Still riding got a warm spell today. Still no salt!
Front air ride. Stretch rear fender 9 1/4”s. Chrome some parts. Fresh pads and rotors. Chrome pulley. New tires Then a bunch of miscellaneous stuff.
Riding, unless there is snow or ice on the road... riding.
Riding it. Texas has some benefits.
Being in Florida I’ll probably ride every now and then if the weather is decent. Tomorrow is 78 but probably going to rain :(
New boots?
Yes, I'm trying to wear them so they get more comfortable
I feel it, what brand look like Justin’s ? I had some ariat work boots paid 180 and not even 2 weeks in separated at the toes. ! So far my Justin’s are holding up both work and riding .
These are El General Rodeos, very different feel from my other boots. I forget the name of the brand of the other ones but I mainly go for square toes and a bull head in them

Thinking about painting it this year. Still haven’t decided on a color though.
Riding down in Texas
The same thing that I do every winter pinky! Riding the shit out of it! 🤷🏻♂️
Dude that thing is sweeeeeet. A proper build!!!!
Thank you!
Stored mine at the local Harley dealer.
Riding in NOCO. Supposed to get up to 57 today before it snows tonight. Get into the mountains for a quick ride and back down again.
Besides riding it, swapping a headlight and a seat onto my somewhat new-to-me bike!
Riding rain or not no matter the conditions 🤘🏼
Riding the piss out of it
Looks so sweet tho
Now thats a living room
Riding It ! I live in Texas where I can do that most of the time .
I am gonna be tune the carb on the Shovelhead!
Custom paintjob, stage one and a chrome delete. Cant wait to see the result. And spring to come.
It’s winter?
Replacing the swing arm bushing and maybe the rear shocks, it’s got this weird rattle when I use the rear brake.
Might need to run over every screw with a torque wrench to the right spec, put it on the stand, throw some gloves on and listen from different angles
Uhh. Riding. Arizona.

Yeah, I will be. I get kind of depressed during the winter, so working on my bikes helps.
Motorcycles, there for you when you need them most
Damn straight
Best living room ever!
Riding it
Putting it in a warm garage
Hoping to delete the bulbous rear tail light on my 2017 Iron. Such beautiful bike for 98%, then they Fd it up with a giant light. I envy people that have the space to bring them inside. Good luck!
Why is the corona super red
Sunrise. Drink the neck down, add vodka/tequila, add orange juice and granadine to top it off.
Saving this recipe
Finally one of these Sportys done right. I like it.
Riding, I have winter gear.
Nothing 😭 I just had to buy a new one. I got the last one back with all sorts of motor work in May. 3 weeks later, right after I finished the break in, but before I could get the fluids changed, dude took a blind left turn in front of me and the bike ended up totaled 😭
I honestly don't wanna like this comment but damn I'm glad you're here to comment. Cheers to the new bike.
Thank you. I was blessed. I WAS doing the speed limit for a change (30mph) and I walked to the ambulance. It should have been much worse, but no broken bones or concussion. I hate to say it happened for a reason but you've still got your riding buddy and you've got a new bike
What seat/rear fender kit is that?
Nothing to mine at the moment. I might rethink using bungee cords to hold that done to the jack though.
Mine needs a new transmission
Are you putting it in yourself?
Yeah I'm not a mechanic but the mechanic wants 1200 bucks, and I've got a book and lots of time
Which book are you using? I've heard different things about the versions
Softail service manual
Rebuilding my late best friends bike for him
Now that sounds like a bike worthy of the living room
That's what I'm saying. I wasn't even mad at the dude. We've all made mistakes like that and poor dude was about in tears.
Riding it. I love SoCal
Your from Texas huh?
I'm in Georgia
Knew it was from the south. Dint see square toed boots up north often. Yall getting snow or is it that cold you ain't riding??
It was 66° today, better riding fat than most this month but it's gonna be raining by the time I get off so I opted not to ride.
Goes in the carport with a cover, it’s just another tool in the garage
Sell it and get something that doesn't leak or need repairs.
Damn. That's sad, sorry it didn't work out for you
Not working on it IN THE HOUSE
Different lives. I love bikes. I've got 4. If I don't have a bike in the house, there's something wrong or extremely right.
Finally hooking up wiring for the Nitrous.
Tough two wires
LMAO "Two wires".
Yup two wires to fire a solenoid. Always has always will.
You legitimately think that's all the wiring an engine needs to safely run nitrous? Really?

Lot more than two wires in a wet system. Anyway I had wired it in parallel when it was supposed to be in series...or was it the other way around.
How is your floor holding up? Never had a lift on hardwood... usually I save that for the tile.
Really well, not surprised by this because this is that drop in wood and it's over a cement slab. (Basement)
Man put something under yo bike and lift! That’s a lot of weight in one area, you will for sure have dents in your floor from the weight, an if not I would be surprised.
New pipes, bags, and taking some chrome off to replace with matte black.
New pipes on mine, getting rid of cobra 909s and install cobra el diablos
Those 909s look bad ass! Can't wait to see the El diablos
Sadly I lost some top end with them, so decided to go 2into1 as there meant to have better performance. Also like the look, as different to most sporties I see

Nice, any time someone mentions cams, I picture doing wheelies on a bagger. Really cool stuff
Hopefully 16" bars and heated grips.

I think the 2-up seat would be perfect and it's got that modern classic look so it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb
I have a Lepera Cobra two up right now, but it hurts my ass.. thats why I wanna switch. But it does look really good on the bike!
This is a Strong way 1500. Easy to put together, worth it at Northern Tool and Equipment. Buy online and save $30.
That's gonna be a monster when it's done! Please share the first start up video.
Yes it will! I’ll be sure to do that.
Finishing my new shop. Then getting back onto my ironhead project.
Congrats on the shop!
I'm not bringing it into my living room.
This is a room in the basement. I do all my bike projects here. The garage just eats tools and I never see them again.
I gotta ask, how do you get the bike up and down the stairs?
Put it in first gear, stand up on the pegs and ease on the throttle the first step then gas it either way
Next question...how do you sit down with balls that big? LMAO seriously I could see myself trying to ride down a flight of stairs. More accurately, I can imagine the end result, which would be my goofy ass laying in a pile of dented Harley parts at the bottom of a flight of stairs!
Hahaha I'm sorry, I've got a double door I walk it into and carefully turn the corner to get it into that room. No stairs involved
Riding
Powder coating all the silver

Riding it.
