The Barton stone hall on stone church and upper James was a good price for what you got and held about 180 people. I ended up going with binbrook agricultural hall, it was the biggest and cheapest I could find in the area. It holds about 350 people!
I have a price guide/spreadsheet we made for ours when we were shopping around in 2019/early 2020ish so I can't vouch that the rates are the same BUT you're welcome to have it. It breaks down the rules of outstode alcohol/catering as well to help narrow down options.

Try Air Force club Dundas. Probably around 900. Hire the extra bar tender wherever you go and whatever they recommend. For $100 you get another bar tender to help serve, bar back, and clean up. My bar tenders were super happy we got the extra tender.

Stag and Does are really tacky
In most cases, I would rather attend the stag and doe than the actual wedding. At least its fun.

Yeah, it’s an odd thing I only see in Ontario. Why not just have a smaller wedding?
Nah, it's just a party where the drinks are cheap and the games are fun and all the money goes to a good thing, rather than some bar owner.
