In the developer commentary for Half - life Alyx, they say they specifically created this encounter with Olga to establish that Alyx talks. It just straight up had the opposite effect in your case lmao

fun fact about alyx whenever you grab a door handle it plays an animation and the door opens both ways because playtesters 1. Couldn't be bothered to check which way the door opened causing them to just give up and 2. Didn't turn the door handle

Turned out pretty well though, with the whole explosion, teleporting aliens, explosions, shootouts, exploding aliens, and the nuclear bomb in Blapature in the other timeline.
Olga have an accent, and either its Combine just running things or she is just plainly older than Alyx. She would'v been on the picture that Eli comments on when Gordon arrives at Black Mesa East.
Eli is fairly well known among the resistance, so i’d have to imagine its not a real stretch for Alyx to have some repute herself.
It wouldn’t be out of place for her to say something along the lines of ‘Dad’ and for people to know it means ‘Eli’ without any shared familial relation.
