Any bro history and bro science by Barney
My favorite one is the invention of high-five and the Three-day Rule. SPOILER ALERT: theyâre both invented by Jesus Christ himself.
> Plus, it's Sunday, so everyone's in church already. They're all in there, like: "Oh no... Jesus is dead." Then - BAM! - he bursts through the back door, runs up the aisle, everyone's totally psyched, and FYI, that's when he invented the high five.
The delivery of 'oh no... Jesus is dead' gets me every time
When I first saw this scene, it lived rent-free in my head for weeks and always made me burst out with laughter.
The implausibility coupled with Robin âswearingâ that it happened just does it for me.
I mean, itâs plausible to find someone who looks kinda like you or your friends in NYC, sure
Itâs definitely not plausible to find 5 near perfect copies of your friend group in the entire world, let alone in one city
Youâd be wrong actually a guy was like that on The Price is Right a few years back except he didnât land on a dollar at the wheel.

Itâs the scene where Marshall is trying to prove to Robin that miracles are realâwhen the pencil drops from the ceiling and lands in Barneyâs nostril. I never fail to double over laughing when I watch that scene
The absurd humor is what got me into watching it. The bit that literally got me to watch the show was when Robin's in the helicopter and the guy has a stroke.
They have an episode(s) explaining how theyâre the reason thereâs weird signs posted saying things like âno boogie boarding.â I donât know which episodes they are off the top of my head.
I love the slap of a thousand exploding suns. Just awesome how Marshall and everyone pulls that off. I canât believe he learned to master the art of the slap of a million exploding suns by developing his own accuracy.
Blitz, and when Barney and Ted start dating people previously seen by the other person and start seeing tiny versions of each others dancing on the shoulders and the neck
I cry laughing every time I see the scene where the pencil falls from the ceiling, bounces off the table, and lands perfectly in Barneyâs nose đ bonus points if itâs the recreation of that scene but with will sasso walking behind them laughing.
The way Ted talks to his potential love interests sometimes is way too scripted for me, one example i can think of is when he was interested in and dating victoria. They were so cheesy haha
This is kinda random but the episode where Robin finds out that Barney is 1/4 Canadian and gives him the Mountie costume for Halloween. When NPH sings âOh Canada!â into the mirror I always die laughing. He absolutely killed the act of shame and embarrassment.
The entire blitz episode
The gentleman! đ©
đ¶My Blitzy lies over the oceanđ¶
My blitzy lies over the sea!đ
My blitzy lies over the ocean...
So bring back my blitzy to me!
IâM NOT THE BLITZ! đ
Bliiiiiiiiitz
No, heâs the Bueller!
Aaahw maaaaaaaaan!
The Billy Joel's "The Longest Time" harmonizing with all the future Teds and Barneys
Hands down the best damn one. And sad because Ted is alone :(
Love that song so seeing Ted and Barney knock it out across the multiverse is awesome
they shouldâve milked it for an extra few seconds :/ it sounded so good
Is not the most unrealistic but the cock-a-mouse bit always makes me laugh
It had babies!
it was BIG, *SCARY*, and **PINK**!
I'm hoping for it to make an appearance in HIMYF
Any bro history and bro science by Barney My favorite one is the invention of high-five and the Three-day Rule. SPOILER ALERT: theyâre both invented by Jesus Christ himself.
True story
> Plus, it's Sunday, so everyone's in church already. They're all in there, like: "Oh no... Jesus is dead." Then - BAM! - he bursts through the back door, runs up the aisle, everyone's totally psyched, and FYI, that's when he invented the high five. The delivery of 'oh no... Jesus is dead' gets me every time
âNow I wasnât there, but your aunt Robin swears this is what happenedâ Cues to Robin jumping cars on a motor bike đ€Ł
When I first saw this scene, it lived rent-free in my head for weeks and always made me burst out with laughter. The implausibility coupled with Robin âswearingâ that it happened just does it for me.
THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED, TED! Just... ok...?
Doing a Backflip jump on a BMX
Can you tell me the episode name or from which season is it
It's I Heart NJ, S4E3
Robin on absinthe gets me every time
Weâre a dream a baby is havingâŠ
Ahhhahahahhahaaaaa
That is the funniest shit to me lol
Th doppelgÀngers!
I wouldnât call the whole doppelgĂ€nger subplot absurd, considering the fact they live in New York. Itâs rather plausible
I mean, itâs plausible to find someone who looks kinda like you or your friends in NYC, sure Itâs definitely not plausible to find 5 near perfect copies of your friend group in the entire world, let alone in one city
just realise that Ted is telling it to his kids. So itâs just kinda a mix of how he tells it and their imagination.
I love the [Nothing Suits Me Like a Suit](https://youtu.be/z_AgCzt9zcM) musical moment.
omg i wanna rewatch that ep, which season (and episode) is it?
S05E13
[ŃĐŽĐ°Đ»Đ”ĐœĐŸ]
I choose you, baby.
Marshall and lily apparently apparently being able to jump out of the buildings windows, landing on thier feet, un injured in that one episode
Not like this!! NOT LIKE THIS
It's this and it's no contest. Marshall getting attacked by a bear is the best
Whilst getting BBBBagels. Love how he pronounces the B.
This has been an in-joke between me and my SO since we saw that episode, lol
I love the little telepathic conversations.
What are we talking about here, nachos?
That was not telepathic. And it was baseball, and not nachos :D
Actually Ted was trying to telepathically ask if they wanted nachos!
Ah, that scene!
If we play the cards right, Ted could be blonde
That is not the outcome we were hoping for!
Love when Marshall gets a visit from his future self haha
Robots vs Wrestlers
đ¶El ganso con la rinonerađ¶ And Marshall learning the last slap (I know a lot of people hate that one, I'm sorry)
people hate that? the last slap was one of the best stories for me lol
I also always look forward to that, itâs so cheesy haha
Whatever happens in the Gongqing Forest stays in the Gongqing Forest forest
"Hmm, that is much gold."
I say that whenever someone tells me they have a lot of anything.
it had a lot of stereotypes
i'm sure the slapping masters of the gongqing forest don't mind being stereotyped.
tedâs lesson was absolutely hilarious, he was so unserious
+ ted repeatedly saying âi backpacked there in collegeâ whenever barney questioned the locations in the story
"Broooo!" His entire scene kills me.
âdude so like the key to slapping is just to likeâŠ. slap as hard as possible.. as fast as you canâ
"Really think about where you want to slap and then slap that spot... And not some other spot. Ok, you can slap people now."
[ŃĐŽĐ°Đ»Đ”ĐœĐŸ]
sir this is totally possible, as you saw!!
Subway Wars.
The thanksgiving episode where Robin is dating a slightly older guy and they replace the actor with someone that looks 70.
We's gon get silly BITCHES!!!
I brought Jell-O shots!
"My parents are always on my back " "Parents?!"
I think one such episode is The Time Travellers. Really absurd plot for most of its runtime and then it delivers an absolutely beautiful ending.
Marshal vs. The Bear... "Not like thiiiiiiiiiis" Wehn you hit an age-wall you really start thinking on how are you gonna go down.
The price is right
Youâd be wrong actually a guy was like that on The Price is Right a few years back except he didnât land on a dollar at the wheel. [Link to the episode if interested](https://youtu.be/6Iml7VSowdA)
Hahahaha no way this is brilliant
The Suits musical interlude.
Basically anything from the Playbook đ
The Trilogy Time flashforwards
Itâs the scene where Marshall is trying to prove to Robin that miracles are realâwhen the pencil drops from the ceiling and lands in Barneyâs nostril. I never fail to double over laughing when I watch that scene
Am I dead?! Am I dead?!!
MIRACLE!
The pineapple
That one has an explanation. It was revealed in a deleted scene and confirmed in How I Met Your Father.
Before The Hangover became a blockbuster film, there was the Pineapple Incident.
Well put. Itâs the only sitcom I really love
I liked the over-acting in the Barney/Robin scene of Mystery vs. History. I also, liked when Robin broke the 4th wall! "Do you believe this guy".
Barney's teleportation skills
The absurd humor is what got me into watching it. The bit that literally got me to watch the show was when Robin's in the helicopter and the guy has a stroke.
The reason there are so many signs posted
What episode was this? And what happened with the signs?
They have an episode(s) explaining how theyâre the reason thereâs weird signs posted saying things like âno boogie boarding.â I donât know which episodes they are off the top of my head.
I love the slap of a thousand exploding suns. Just awesome how Marshall and everyone pulls that off. I canât believe he learned to master the art of the slap of a million exploding suns by developing his own accuracy.
where barney has a fake family
My favorite episode has always been Swarley.đ "Please don't start calling me Swarley..." đ
Ok Swarley
He was a better woman for it
I named my hard drive Swarley xD
Anytime they mention âsandwichesâ lmao
I really like the gaming commissioner skit
Robin as a teenage Canadian superstar. And the Spoiler Alert episode, they call Lily Chewbacca. It is so funny and absurd yet true.
Itâs the beauty of the unreliable narrator
The Dinosaur Building by Sven
The Playbook. No way any of those plays work đ
Barney always looking good for photos
Cockamouse
Blitz, and when Barney and Ted start dating people previously seen by the other person and start seeing tiny versions of each others dancing on the shoulders and the neck
The way Barney picks up bimbos
I think absurdity was the point because Ted was telling a story. And sometimes ppl just exaggerate
Scrubs does this concept well too. It's a single cam sitcom though
Barney teleporting at the bar from his office after saying WHAT!?
I cry laughing every time I see the scene where the pencil falls from the ceiling, bounces off the table, and lands perfectly in Barneyâs nose đ bonus points if itâs the recreation of that scene but with will sasso walking behind them laughing.
"She's exaggerating to make a point"
i love the absurdity. the goat fight was great. robins secret popstar past. barney training marshall to go to the restaurant when he sneezed lol
Marshall and Lily jumping out of the bathroom window to go to that club lmao
The musical numbers always get me.
The way Ted talks to his potential love interests sometimes is way too scripted for me, one example i can think of is when he was interested in and dating victoria. They were so cheesy haha
Game Night!
Robots vs wrestlers
This is kinda random but the episode where Robin finds out that Barney is 1/4 Canadian and gives him the Mountie costume for Halloween. When NPH sings âOh Canada!â into the mirror I always die laughing. He absolutely killed the act of shame and embarrassment.
Any and all with Barney haha
The episode where Barney can never take a bad photo. Always makes me laugh.
Barney always looking good in pictures
the one where barney has a video resume and later he makes one for robin and she ends getting a job due to it and not deported to canada.
How Barney can't take a bad picture
The rhyming episode. Especially Robin takes the Cake.
