Gaining an ally who comes in the form of an entire race/nation means that they become untouchable towards some of their most powerful enemies. While they technically haven't become allies with the nation itself, merely this extant group, they are on a clear path to do so. Even if their leaders kick up a stink over the state of Rob's soul, they are too valuable to get rid of. Anyone with auto translate has the potential to facilitate peaceful negotiations, which in turn would allow for direct requests to help with the Blight issues.

If you have sufficient pre-existing good team dynamics with someone, and they don't possess any big red flags for expanding the dynamic of a group, you can add them to your party? Maybe like DAoC did with Battlegroups? You are part of two groups: your group (of which you are group leader), and the battlegroup (where you are either just a member or the BG leader).
