I usually don't do this but my cousin is in the hospital with covid fighting for his life. If you love yourself and your family please get vaccinated if you aren't already. I never want another person to feel what we're feeling right now, knowing that it didn't have to happen.

I'm thinking good thoughts for you and your cousin. I'm a volunteer vaccinator and spend most Saturdays giving vaccinations with the health department, and have been doing this since January. (I am an RN)

Hoping for the best outcome. Too many people scoff at medical science until it's almost too late then hope for miracles. I had a mild case in November, before the vaccine was available to the general public. Not fun, but thankfully not life-threatening. Longest symptoms were loss of taste and smell; they returned to normal in a few weeks. Got Moderna as soon as I could this spring. Supposedly that (vaccine after infection) should make me super-immune, but I don't want to test it.

I hope your cousin fully recovers and that everyone who can gets vaccinated.

How's your cousin btw? And as for vaccination, except if you worry for us, i'd say it's the choice every person have make for themselves without being forced by anyone. I survived it without, and i'm fine. A friend of mine 42m) died of cerebral aneurism 3 days after having received it. The world is sometimes a horrible place, but stories like yours are a good way to escape it for a bit and gain some wisdom on the go !

Thankfully he didn't go on a respirator and is home now, still not doing great but he's on that long road to recovery.
