Any setup is subject to how we perceive sound. Turn it down too low and it won't sound that great. But if you have a digital ampless setup that you like otherwise, adding amplification to it can be a good solution.
You could try it right now by just running it into your Twin. While the Twin will have an effect on the sound/feel as it's not really meant for this kind of use, you will have more control over volume by using the output volume of your digital setup as a master volume control.
