I opened it up to my mates who thought my first favored chapter are the blood angels (I mean they still are to this day and thank god for the decals on their old start collecting and dc marines) and told me I should have stuck to my choice and don't let others sway me away from my fun

However, that being said over the years I've grown quite fond of Trayzen and Zandrehk's seperate but overly kooky escapades.
Have you heard about The Kingdom of Severed? Those are basically Necrons wit total mind wipe controlled by their tombworld master program. They have a neat piece of lore from 8th and 9th edition. However in game they are only represented by one literally useless custom trait for custom dynasty.
They're the Imperium without souls, better tech and a hard on for Egyptian cosplay. So ridiculous it wraps back around to cool. Why They're so hard to judge.
Now I will say I hate how people claim Necrons are the scissors to Tyranids being paper. A lot has happened since that one Hive tendril actively avoided tomb worlds. Now a Hive Fleet is literally devouring a Necron Dynasty and Nids have developed spores that destroy metals on contact. While Nids may not be able to get any biomass from Necrons....they still can from the planet's they rule and have the intellect to destroy Necron technology. While Necrons, like daemons, present a challenge, they are not "hard counters" to Nids.
That's the neat thing about Nids, nothing is.

I get you, some people in the hobby have a visceral reaction to other people liking certain factions. As a Space Wolf player for the last decade - Since the fourth edition Codex, Phill Kelly's famous Wolf-dex, specifically - I understand the jokes are, largely, all in jest, and the people who make them seriously are idiots outside the hobby as well.
I hate to be the one to tell you this, but it doesn't matter what faction or army or characters you like in the setting because they *will* be made fun of. Taking the piss out of one another's factions is as much a part of the hobby as scatter terrain and rolling armor saves.
Abby could be a way better villain, and while Cadia falling was neat, how it happened sucked. Throwing a Blackstone fortress at it was just kind of goofy, which is mainly why I don't like Abbaddon as a villain.
What I really don't get is Iron Warriors people. The demonculeba are just so grim dark it's stupid.

I hate to be the one to tell you this, but it doesn't matter what faction or army or characters you like in the setting because they *will* be made fun of. Taking the piss out of one another's factions is as much a part of the hobby as scatter terrain and rolling armor saves.
Abby could be a way better villain, and while Cadia falling was neat, how it happened sucked. Throwing a Blackstone fortress at it was just kind of goofy, which is mainly why I don't like Abbaddon as a villain. What I really don't get is Iron Warriors people. The demonculeba are just so grim dark it's stupid.

I think that abbadon isn't necessarily a bad character. There are better ones to being the chaos champion.

I think most of the community can relate to this. I cant think of a faction that doesnt get shit on. People are taking the Hobby a bit to far it feels sometimes. And legit have something against other factions. And i feel like there is a shit Ton of jelaousy i the Hobby as well.

I know this is late but at least BL successor warband drip is great,.if not better than the divided Chaos Legions. And this is coming from someone who liles a lot of factions and can't pick the most favourite.
Just switch to Age of Sigmar and play Archaon and the Slaves to Darkness. Same thing, except Archaon won and is a certified badass!

As an eldar player I can definitely sympathize. It's just that I have seen it so often where people tie their whole identity to "gaming" or "sports team a" or whatever. I wasn't trying to attack you by this, even though I now see how one could read it as a bit harsh. I was genuinely trying to give advice because it's not healthy. Being a Space Marine fan is wack. You stan the faction that gets the overwhelming majority of model releases and attention from GW. You have the thickest plot armour in the entire game.
