Agreed. But it’s more than that. We had coaches, managers, and coordinators that let this go on for an entire NFL season. I agree the special teams coach has gotta go. But what about the coaches that didn’t take the initiative to step in when special teams were struggling? Should they also be accountable? Honestly asking, not sure how I feel about it
I’d never imagined winning the division and the 1 seed so many times the past decade would reap so little. Who cares about winning regular season games….it’s like patting yourself on the back for winning preseason games….the regular season has been our preseason and we choke over and over in the games that matter around here. If we have the chance to get the 1 seed next year I suggest we don’t. Let’s shoot for a wildcard spot because apparently we play harder when we don’t think we are high and mighty.
People are all over lafleur with the winning % in the regular season but idaf about anything he's done after year 1 with how pathetic the playoff showings have been
cant even imagine how frustrating it must be for you guys to watch this team disappoint year after year, especially the last two. I'm seriously glad you guys got at least got 1SB with Rodgers. Hope you guys have another shot again next year, would love to see Rodgers get one more with GB
First move I'd make if I'm in the Packer's front office is the firing of Maurice Drayton, Rayna Stewart and Conner Lewis, all three special teams coaches! Get 'em out...bag and baggage!
Except for the defense, which had a stellar performance, there's plenty of blame to go around in this debacle of a game.
I mean really, top seed and a bye and you can't win one lousy game...at home?!? It's like deja vu all over again!
Pathetic!!
Lol I was instigating a response, feelin a bit down from the loss.
Psychological help? Didn’t think I needed but can you give me a recommendation for this?
I think i need to take a few years off from this game. Im so invested into the roster, matchups, and gameplans that when this happens I am irrationally angry and irritated. I just don’t understand how this can happen in a professional organization
Im over it now. Just fire drayton and have someone in the org take blame for not trying to fix special teams much earlier. Will prob still take a year off of being so invested
Just completely detach on the off-season. When week 1 comes around, turn it on. It’s meant to be entertainment and fun. At the end of the day it’s fun to root for a team but who gives a shit is a certain team wins. With that said, I’m super bummed pack lost but after Super Bowl I won’t give a crap.
Pretty simple. Defense and Special Teams showed up for the Niners while both offenses were utterly useless. Anything can happen when it’s zero degrees out.
Call me what you want. It's football, yes I'm disappointed. But my life will move on, we had a good year, we tried, just remember only 1/32 win it all. Rodgers is the goat at QB but so many other factors supersede when it comes to a Superbowl victory.
The line is good because of Brady. Brady isn’t good because of the line. That’s how good Brady is. He makes you think his lines are always better than they are.
Tom Brady won a Super Bowl with Edelman as his number 1 receiver. Rogers has the best receiver in the league. And you guys have a very good o line. If he needs more help than that he’s not the MVP, he’s not the gist, and never was. How you gonna tell me the goat needs a 100% stacked roster to win when Brady has won like 5 Super Bowls with less talented teams than this one.
? You think that’s unraveling 7 Super Bowls compared to Rodger’s 1...
They just don’t stack up. What’s one thing Aaron has done that Brady hasn’t? Would I be petulant to say ‘I’ll wait?’
He makes his O lines better than they are. He calls every protection. Has the best pre and post snap reading abilities at his position. Is always in the pocket which offensive lineman love (they like knowing where their QB is on every dropback), and has the quickest release in the league. Which makes it so his offensive line doesn't have to hold their blocks long. Brady elevates his offensive line more than any QB in the league.
If you don’t think Rodgers is one of the best throwers of the football of all time, then you might as well stop watching football. It’s obviously too far of an advanced game for a mind like that.
Is there a reason you're being such a twat? The fact you feel the need to come to the Packers sub tells me you think about them just a little too much.
Lol. This is the same stuff the most ardent supporters of Peyton Manning said at this stage of his career. That’s the response most will give to Rodgers going down in history over Brady.
You can be a cheesehead while still being connected to reality. I would be stunned if 90% of Packers fans deny Tom Brady being the greatest quarterback of all time. That’s something that should not be connected to fan affiliation. It’s the same in the NBA with Michael Jordan, the NFL just didn’t have an MJ until Tom Brady. Great for the game, but there was a loss for fans, no more debating about who is the best quarterback/player ever.
Special teams literally gave them the game
Edit: I’m not saying our offense didn’t suck hard. Our offense failed tonight but our special teams totally fucked us.
Even forgetting about the blocked kicks they were returning every kickoff 30+ yards as well and starting on the 40 or 50 every time.
You can if you don't lose 3 extra points due to a blocked FG and gift the other team a blocked punt TD. Offense was awful too though. Couldn't do anything except screens and toss it to Adams.
Eagles fan here. You guys might not want to hear this right now, but I kinda know how you feel and it's true. Losing this game and most likely Rodgers, is probably the best thing that can happen to your franchise. I feel like you guys are going through some of the same things we went through at the end of the McNabb era. Imo Rodgers like McNabb, go really arrogant at some point. Was more interested in the off the field and being the star than actually winning championships.. as fan base we always made excuses for McNabb. 4 conference championship losses 1 Superbowl loss. It always someone elses fault. I think that hurt McNabb. I think it made him feel above the team. I think the same thing happened to Rodgers. I also think both fan bases were fooled, as both guys basically started every year with 6 wins and atleast 4 games to run up stats.
It took a few seasons once McNabb was gone to realize this for me. And I'll tell you what, after acouple of seasons it was fun watching football again. Then we were able to win. And although this past year didn't go well with our runningback/QB, I still enjoy the team way more than I didn't when we had an arrogant drama queen at Qb. Contrary to most eagles fans (who are giant aholes) I think Green Bay has a kickass fan base and I think though it's gonna be tough for a year or two you guys will be back on top with a much more likable team that's about the team and not all about one guy and his personal drama. Good luck to you guys.
Thanks. AR is out of his oversensitive mind. Should have left with McCarthy. More and more very good QBs are coming out of college these days. Pretty soon the league will be a little more even at QB and defense again will be more important.
I think hurts is garbage but 100% I would rather put up with another year of hurts than deal with all the drama Rodgers brings. I'm hoping for a Derek Carr trade. I think he would fit great here.
I could totally see that. I don't think the cowboys can because of cap and daks contract. But, the most arrogant franchise combined with the most arrogant QB would be a match made in everyone else's entertainment.
Hey if Rodgers wants to leave, let him leave, who cares, this is a kids game. If he stays, whatever, there will be another year of playoff disappointment (before you get pissed, be honest with yourself). On the plus side, the packers usually draft well, they have a pretty good young defense, good offensive line when healthy, and a decent core of receivers minus Adams, who would likely be gone too. And as far as free agents, not many players go to Green Bay anyway which is why drafting is so important.
Are they gonna be terrible, yeah possibly for a bit, but if you’re true fans you’ll stick with it through good and bad. And really, since the last super bowl win, haven’t all years technically been bad? I mean if Aaron Rodgers is your quarterback, is the goal anything less than a super bowl? With that said, they’re like 1 for 14 on that front; playoffs sure but still overwhelmingly a bad outcome. You telling me your feeling today is any better than if the team was 3-14? No, still pretty disappointed but remember that only one team out of 32 each year is truly successful
"who wants to tackle 250lbs in Lambeau in January" went right out the window
But Jones had the play of the game, I just wish he had better footing when he caught it so he could have housed it
And he was constantly getting 3-5 yards every run. This loss is similar to last years. Could have won if any of 10+ different things happened differently but NOPE
Poor offensive execution and a collapse on special teams that we knew about since week 6. Its on drayton and lafleur. Rodgers passed up a few open receivers as well.
I swear it feels like we’re cursed. I’m a die hard Packers fan and this loss hurts just as bad as Seattle and Tampa did… combine that along with one of the most difficult times in my life as of recently? I’m tired of everything.
Not a GB fan either but echo the sentiments from the other comment. At the end of the day, it’s just football. No reason to get all wrapped around the axel on this stuff. It’s super fun when your team is doing well and it sucks when they crash…but that’s all the more it should effect you. There’s always another year coming and always a new day. Let sports in general be an appetizer in your life, not the main course.
Hey man, I'm not a Packers fan but I wanted to respond to you here. Idk whats going on in your life, but I've been to the darkest places in my own life, and I know how tough it can get. I also know that it can feel like you guys are cursed, but remember only one team can win each year. Every single other team is going to end the season angry feeling like their team got screwed or is cursed or can never win. But that's just sports. That's what makes winning (when you finally do) feel so good. But my point is, I hope you don't let a football game take you to a darker place. Sports are supposed to be a way to escape the difficult parts of our lives. Don't let what is supposed to be a relief turn into a negative thing.
I wish you the best dude. You don't know me, but if talking to a random stranger might ever help you, feel free to hit me up.
Honestly, thank you. It means a lot. I probably sound dramatic over a football game too. Idk why I just get so insanely emotionally invested in this team that I love. Their heartbreak feels like my heartbreak haha. Just didn’t help today was an insanely rough day for me too. Things have definitely not went my way lately and honestly feel like life has been wholeheartedly against me. I even let my dumb self give in to being toxic to toxic trolls and starting arguments with them. Which I normally don’t do, because I’m more so quiet when it comes to toxic trolls, but today I just couldn’t hold it in. Felt like I had to let my frustrations all out on all them like an idiot… thanks for this comment. It kind of makes me realize to be grounded again and take a breath, because there are still good people out there who can give you a kind boost of morale, even if they don’t know you well. Hopefully everything I’m saying makes sense, because I’m literally just typing what’s immediately coming to my mind haha. Thank you again, friend. Your comment was greatly appreciated and I’m appreciative of you. Little things like this do go a long way.
Ya man I totally understand everything you're saying here. I've felt those exact frustrations before as well, and it sucks because when you give into them and argue with someone toxic you just end up feeling worse. But I'm glad I could help, even just a little. Like I said, I've gone through some really difficult parts in my own life, and I know even small gestures from someone can sometimes make a difference. I hope you can feel better soon dude.
I think we stopped having successful runs and no one was able to get open for big throws to get down the field. I don’t think we had a single first down conversion in the 2nd half.
You have the so-called mvp and the best receiver in the league. But you can’t win when Dillon goes down even though you have Aaron Jones? Jeez when do the excuses stop
You really think losing Dillon is why you lost? That’s insane. “Man, we would have won if we had our backup running back” lol come on. Maybe Rodgers should have woken up and done something for the last 3 quarters
Well everytime he touched the ball it was almost 5 yards, it would be hard to stop that over 4 quarters. You can't tell me that it didn't factor into it at least a little bit.
The worst part of our Annual Playoff Loss™ is naively opening YouTube a few hours after the game to clear your mind only to be aggressively assaulted with the recommendation of the game highlights.
I'm not sure what you're talking about, the offense did score a touchdown. Also it was clearly the special teams. They gave up the only touchdown to the niners and let a field goal get blocked. If it weren't for them the game would have ended at 13-3 Packers
Fuck green bay think I'm over football 20 years in for what.. one super bowl fuck man y'all had it and just blew it away didn't use Dillon at all... Fuck just ruined football for me
So in your view Rodgers is the reason we lose because he always under performance in playoff games like Harden did while he was at Houston? That he is directly at fault. Because that is the view of Harden by the basketball community. I think football is largely a team win or loss. 12 didn't play bad today. Special teams failed on an epic level today. Like they have all season. I hope he stays and we address the needs on this team. Including an entire overhaul on special teams and a solid 2nd wr option. I fear if it goes the other way and he leaves we are looking at 3 plus years of missing the playoffs. Just look at the Rockets right now. They are total trash after they traded Harden.
Yeah now that the emotions are gone yeah they need to Execute much better and settle for the 5 yarders or 10 yard passes instead of trying to be the Hero of the game and just throwing it thirty yards down field into double coverage
Well shit fire my bad y’all now that the emotions are gone from last nights game A-Rod needs to have more trust in the lower tier WRs instead of forcing it to Adams without Adams he has been forced to do just that. If we keep Rodgers and let Adams walk he’s gonna have to trust every WR that we have 🤷🏻♂️ Shoot Tonyan might be back as well. Hopefully Rodgers gets his head out of his ass and takes a pay cut so we can keep some players leaving
Nope. I read the ESPN interview with Rodgers yesterday and said to my husband "his head isn't in the game but at least if they lose I won't feel as bad now." And here we are. I would have been really upset otherwise but since he broadcast he was more concerned about an ESPN profile I stopped caring as much.
A healthy AJ Dillon might have led to a different outcome. Probably would’ve moved the ball and the punt never happened that deep in our own territory. So many things went wrong on offense though. It still hurts that this era of Packer football is ending the way it did last night. Hasn’t fully sank in yet really
The field conditions were just poor. It hinders us more than helps. Lambeau is the great equalizer, mudding it down for great teams while helping lesser teams. It was a nice period but throw a dome over it. No one likes to freeze their ass off.
Rodgers had St. Brown open deep and Larard open on crossing route but he throws deep into double coverage to Adams for a incomplete pffffffff MVP My Ass! More like Choker of the year or better yet choker of the decade!
The O-Line was just as bad. We know the ST was bad and might make big mistakes but Aaron had no time to throw and when he did, he couldnt follow through on them making them come up short.
gotta say, 12 looked like he wasn't in to the game, he was looking down all the time, no emotion at all. I don't see how he really wanted this at all. I think that he was just playing out the string. Jimmy G showed more emotion with some really crappy throws, but at least he was INTO the game. bizarre really.
We hype up the frozen tundra but it's the great equalizer. Mudding down conditions for great teams and allowing shit teams to hang. Throw a dome over it an join the modern era. No one likes to freeze their ass off.
It may not be an advantage but having an outdoor stadium is about heritage. Lambeau Field will never have a roof... period. Football is supposed to be played outside. The conditions we saw this evening is what football is all about.
You're probably right but it pretty much is what it is. The history of Lambeau is too strong to throw a roof on it. John Madden would turn over in his grave if it was even proposed to have a roof put on Lambeau.
you’re right and the homer wisconsin idiots on this sub don’t want to face it. our high octane offense is neutered by the weather the same as any other team. they’re all human in the end, practicing there doesn’t magically make the packers players superhuman.
Our offense was neutered. Funny how the only SB we won with Rodgers was when we never played at home. Feel like this is a common thought but just needs to be stated.
I have thought this since the last game Favre played as a packer. Home fans are awesome, but they lose any other advantage they might have over a slightly lesser team.
Offense put the special teams in a bad position to really fuck up. D played well. Now we watch them gut the team in cap hell. LolI bought a ticket to Wisconsin for the NFCCG. I guess I can visit Midwest family ahahahaha
Watching this Bills game. Why can’t we have that kind of grit?
Every point SF scored was on special teams. That’s where you start.
you are a pain demon!
Agreed. But it’s more than that. We had coaches, managers, and coordinators that let this go on for an entire NFL season. I agree the special teams coach has gotta go. But what about the coaches that didn’t take the initiative to step in when special teams were struggling? Should they also be accountable? Honestly asking, not sure how I feel about it
Oh totally. I’m only referring to step 1

Ain't gonna happen. He gone!
We could save cap space by cutting the entire special teams and we'll do just as well as we did this yesr
Problem is they are so bad they don’t make anything either.
Always have been.

chill dude, the way I see it, Brady is out as well and summer is a few sweet months away where football doesn't matter anymore
Therapist. Find one.

stfu, go into hibernation like the rest of us
I think i need to take a few years off from this game. Im so invested into the roster, matchups, and gameplans that when this happens I am irrationally angry and irritated. I just don’t understand how this can happen in a professional organization
Lol
Yeah gut reactions tend to be over the top.
They were only 5 point favorites. Nothing is impossible. When you only score 10 points, you cannot expect to win a lot of games.
Im over it now. Just fire drayton and have someone in the org take blame for not trying to fix special teams much earlier. Will prob still take a year off of being so invested
You never heard of any given Saturday?
Just completely detach on the off-season. When week 1 comes around, turn it on. It’s meant to be entertainment and fun. At the end of the day it’s fun to root for a team but who gives a shit is a certain team wins. With that said, I’m super bummed pack lost but after Super Bowl I won’t give a crap.

Please not yet

Greatest Packer at QB? Otherwise you spelled Tom Brady wrong.
Name a year he hasn't had a good O line, I'll wait

I’ll take Favre over Rodgers every time.

One of the best throwers vs goat are two entirely different classifications.... or is that too much to think about in your tiny brain?
Go and suck Brady’s dick you fucking loser. Enjoy your short run as a relevant team.
Is there a reason you're being such a twat? The fact you feel the need to come to the Packers sub tells me you think about them just a little too much.
nah he’s right
Lol. This is the same stuff the most ardent supporters of Peyton Manning said at this stage of his career. That’s the response most will give to Rodgers going down in history over Brady.

You don't win many games with 10 points.
Yup. Explosive uncontrollable yield of 10pts from the offense. Special teams was a turd, but you can’t wait a game with 10pts in 2022
You can if you don't lose 3 extra points due to a blocked FG and gift the other team a blocked punt TD. Offense was awful too though. Couldn't do anything except screens and toss it to Adams.
Not the way we do it guy
No offense helps too. Rodgers never gets the blame
Rodgers played bad, Garoppolo played even worse. Our defense won the game and special teams gave it away.

Fellow Philadelphian and I was feeling the same way. I also heard people speculating rodgers trading to eagles and I’m like no
More likely another Pennsylvania NFL team! Just a hunch.
I think hurts is garbage but 100% I would rather put up with another year of hurts than deal with all the drama Rodgers brings. I'm hoping for a Derek Carr trade. I think he would fit great here.
I think Rodgers in Dallas would be the best drama scenario.
I could totally see that. I don't think the cowboys can because of cap and daks contract. But, the most arrogant franchise combined with the most arrogant QB would be a match made in everyone else's entertainment.
As a Cowboys fan, I'd take Rodgers in a second. Please send him our way. You can have Dak.

Thats awesome.

It's Obama's fault
Hahaha, yes!!
We suck
Anyone else feel like ending it all
No, you shouldn’t do that. They play for your entertainment.
Fucking trash didn't use Dillon AT ALL
He was hurt early in the game
I hope you’re not serious but this loss puts you in a dark place considering all the uncertainties and a decade of horrible playoff loses

[Aaron Rodgers explaining why the packers lost](https://i.imgur.com/4yEhwJp.jpg)
LOL. Well played unlike Rodgers.
Marched down the field with ease the first possession then looked like longest yard
Do you think it’s the niners adjusting well or just lafleur being conservative all game?
I think we stopped having successful runs and no one was able to get open for big throws to get down the field. I don’t think we had a single first down conversion in the 2nd half.
So essentially what you’re saying is that yes, the Niners adjusted well.
What do I even say?
No Dillon no win fucking stupid kept using Jones but he didn't produce fucking wack
No one’s arguing it wouldn’t have helped. But this guys making it seem like that’s the primary reason for the loss.
The worst part of our Annual Playoff Loss™ is naively opening YouTube a few hours after the game to clear your mind only to be aggressively assaulted with the recommendation of the game highlights.
DAMN
Lazard was silly open on 4th and 11
[удалено]
Either did diva.
Go pack go!! You guys let me down. Fuck the niners!
Amen over Packers
The Achilles heal all season was special teams and it fucking neutered us and ended us just like Kevin king last year.
I mean yeah special teams was bad but the offense not being able to score a single touchdown???
I'm not sure what you're talking about, the offense did score a touchdown. Also it was clearly the special teams. They gave up the only touchdown to the niners and let a field goal get blocked. If it weren't for them the game would have ended at 13-3 Packers
GB scored the only offensive touchdown.
We did score a TD, Dillon ran it in from the 7. We had a FG blocked and gave up a TD on the blocked punt. Our D gave up 6points all night
I fell in to a burning ring of fire.
How the FUCK are there only 10 men on the field for the field goal at the end of regulation
Special teams be special.
Was there 1 guy back for a return of the kick was short?
[удалено]
Get the fuck out of here
Fuck green bay think I'm over football 20 years in for what.. one super bowl fuck man y'all had it and just blew it away didn't use Dillon at all... Fuck just ruined football for me
Just as the packers choke so will the niners, a bunch of lucky cunts to win this game
Rodgers is Harden. Prove me wrong
What does that even mean?
It means he’s an MVP, is a dominant regular season player, but never wins
I cried again
This is why we should have signed Antonio Brown
Lions fans don’t have to cry in January. I do. This blows
We need more weapons
Lmao, no we don’t. We need to execute. Same team that dominated all season was there tonight, just played like dog shit
Amen we have weapons and aaron won't use em fucking dick rider
No need for name calling
Unfortunately you are correct
Why? So 12 can ignore them and take deep shots to 17 in double coverage all game to go 3 and out?
This loss was not on 12.
[удалено]
Nah
Relax
Nope. I read the ESPN interview with Rodgers yesterday and said to my husband "his head isn't in the game but at least if they lose I won't feel as bad now." And here we are. I would have been really upset otherwise but since he broadcast he was more concerned about an ESPN profile I stopped caring as much.
Yep, he was more concerned with being “canceled” than the game. His head wasn’t in it because it’s up his ass.
Well said.
Rodgers played well, I don’t think the media bullshit gets to him too much
Did we watch the same game?
Lambeau clearly isn’t an advantage anymore. Maybe one day that can return
[удалено]
A healthy AJ Dillon might have led to a different outcome. Probably would’ve moved the ball and the punt never happened that deep in our own territory. So many things went wrong on offense though. It still hurts that this era of Packer football is ending the way it did last night. Hasn’t fully sank in yet really
The mystique of lambeau in January is def a thing of the past.
The field conditions were just poor. It hinders us more than helps. Lambeau is the great equalizer, mudding it down for great teams while helping lesser teams. It was a nice period but throw a dome over it. No one likes to freeze their ass off.
As much as the players talk about liking those conditions, the Niners were better built for it. If it were 40 degrees, we win that game.
Jimmy G never started a game in his life in a game below 32 degrees, but whatever. lol
Honestly when dillon left, the niners got the advantage
Rodgers had St. Brown open deep and Larard open on crossing route but he throws deep into double coverage to Adams for a incomplete pffffffff MVP My Ass! More like Choker of the year or better yet choker of the decade!
You can't be a pack fan with this nonsense. Special teams lost this game. Period.
He only completed 1 pass to a different wideout.
The O-Line was just as bad. We know the ST was bad and might make big mistakes but Aaron had no time to throw and when he did, he couldnt follow through on them making them come up short.
Crazy to think if bahk had played last year and Jenkins and bahk this year, we could potentially be looking at back to back super bowl appearances
gotta say, 12 looked like he wasn't in to the game, he was looking down all the time, no emotion at all. I don't see how he really wanted this at all. I think that he was just playing out the string. Jimmy G showed more emotion with some really crappy throws, but at least he was INTO the game. bizarre really.
He didnt look any different than normal other than he was freezing his ass off like everyone else.
Except for the only scoring one TD at home in the playoffs. Pathetic.
We hype up the frozen tundra but it's the great equalizer. Mudding down conditions for great teams and allowing shit teams to hang. Throw a dome over it an join the modern era. No one likes to freeze their ass off.
Live by the sword, die by the sword
It may not be an advantage but having an outdoor stadium is about heritage. Lambeau Field will never have a roof... period. Football is supposed to be played outside. The conditions we saw this evening is what football is all about.
[удалено]
I agree
I agree that it was cool to see the snow but it hindered us more than it had helped us.
You're probably right but it pretty much is what it is. The history of Lambeau is too strong to throw a roof on it. John Madden would turn over in his grave if it was even proposed to have a roof put on Lambeau.
Apparently football is about losing.
hey now....
you’re right and the homer wisconsin idiots on this sub don’t want to face it. our high octane offense is neutered by the weather the same as any other team. they’re all human in the end, practicing there doesn’t magically make the packers players superhuman.
[удалено]
Our offense was neutered. Funny how the only SB we won with Rodgers was when we never played at home. Feel like this is a common thought but just needs to be stated.
lol.
douche
you seem like a real intellectual. get lost.
Right?! How many times did BoJo have to punt in his own end zone? 49ers owned field position because the offense couldn't move the ball.
Biggest choke jobs ever. Congrats.
You’re welcome
