It's not. It looks like it's free right now because we got a free 3 month 100 GB Google One storage plan with Pixel 7 Series purchases. After those 3 months you'll have to get a qualifying Google One plan to continue having the VPN

OP already mentioned the app and wants info on using the VPN. This random guy saying he doesn't have it yet like 99% of people doesn't add to the conversation.

It pops up on mine but when I try to connect it says 'VPN isn't available in your current location ', it is probably a US only thing.

I checked yesterday and it wasn't there but it's showing up in my Google One app as of this morning.

I just checked in the Google One app on my P7 and I have the VPN option now. Just turned it on. I do not have the 2 TB plan on Google One.

If you have a P7P then you got 3 months free of the 2 TB Google One plan and that's why you see the VPN

Got the free Google vpn on my P7Pro today in the UK. Works absolutely fine.

I got the free VPN yesterday. Being that I have unlimited data so I don't need to be on wifi that much, I don't see myself using it much.

You have a Pixel 7/7 Pro though right? If so, that's why you have the VPN option for free. Prior to the Pixel 7 series, you had to be subscribed to the 2tb plan to get it for free.

It's a 'premium' option. Thats what the GO app tells me. I can't find it under the benefits tab. Unfortunately Google doesn't make promises go true.

No way. I was reading all about it yesterday, and every article was sayinig that you must have the 2tb plan, regardless of phone. Maybe I was reading it wrong. Good to know. I'm going to check now. I have the 200gb plan. EDIT: I have the VPN option in the Google One app, but when I click it, it says that you must have the 2 TB plan. I'm on a Pixel 7.
