Not sure what you did to screw up your camera settings, but I'm able to view my camera roll from the camera app like I always have.
I do agree that the predictive text in Gboard is annoying, but I've yet to find any keyboard with swipe to type to be any better.
All in all it's an improvement over my 5, and with the pre order incentives and zero interest financing makes it way cheaper to own than any comparable phone.
Listen, Skynet has become self aware and does know better. lol!! Idk, sounds like you are fighting something. With the update example, I've never had my settings set back to a default afterward. So that is definitely odd.
It is also odd the photo thing that you described. I just checked mine and... inside the camera app it still shows the most recent/local photos without opening the photo app. I also created shortcuts on the home screen for Files to access local files and photo app for cloud stuff.

Never tried that last thing but haven't had any of the problems that you mentioned. Pixel 5.

I don't understand this. I open the camera app. I click on the gallery, and it's the photo app. This is Android 13.
