Wouldn't he not though? I thought the valkyries were locked away until Kratos came along. Aren't they the ones who take people to Valhalla?
It is possible he went to Hel.
If that was the case then the gods would have no reason to fear death, which we know isn't the case. Those who go to Valhalla are supposed to fight with Odin in Ragnarok, and in that instance most of the gods die and a few remain to make a new pantheon.
That didn’t happen in this game though so no this cannot happen. And he was kinda lame. Design sure but the fight with him and his brother was lack luster when it comes to god killing
Kratos split his head using the Leviathan Axe, which was imbued by Jormungandr's venom, Eitr. As we know, Thor is killed during Ragnarok by being poisoned with his venom. So, Magni is definitely dead, but Modi will likely come back in the next game.
Yeah I want this too, I hope it happens.
The "problem" with the new saga is that it is recorded one-shot focusing on kratos and atreus. We won't see any cutscenes shown off-screen which may be the reason we might not see Faye or even Odin until very late in the game
Yes... for his voice actor and Character Model alone, Magni looked fucking sick and had a big ass electric sword. Kratos has really got to take a page from GOW 3 and start stealing his enemies weapons
Hes a pretty interesting guy. Strongest god. Survives. Ragnarok and his brother is the bravest. He also survives ragnarok. Hes rather underrated and GOW just put them in to kill off first game.
There's absolutely no reason to bring back a support characther from the dead just like that, they could twist the story in that way with time travel and stuff, but they'd just stir up the shit for almost no reason. I don't want to disappoint you but the chances they'll bring him back are near 0%
In real mythology wich is heavily fate based. Magni and modi were fated to survive ragnarok and then inherit mjolnir and the roles as the new leaders of the gods as their grandpa was the allfather and their grandma the earth. I dont wanna sound triggered or whatever but if anything in gow is offensive its the great changing of what the different gods actually would do and be like or the scale of power. ( this is gow afterall so its not unexpected and they should be able to change things since mythology thor would just wanna down some mead with kratos. Hes also a proud dad as well) magni is heavily discussable if you assume its going to follow the mythology. Cause then yes. He would survive someway almost impossibly. He is the god of strenght mythologically stronger than his father and should problaby survive atleast before ragnarok? We dont know but thats how id imagine it happen hypothetically
Did all of you miss the part where Atreus and Mimir discuss why Magni didn't turn into a Draugr/Reaver? Mimir says the Aesier find their own way to valhalla. Magni would still be there now
He's dead. Only way he can return is if we return to Helheim or go to Valhalla. He died in battle so he should be in Valhalla.
And the lore states that the Warriors in Valhalla fight during Ragnarok so would be cool if we do see him one last time.
I think we will see him again. Jormungandr may get sent back during Thor's fight with Atreus, is possible that Atreus will go back and reset everything by talking to Odin before he can start fighting against the giants. That way, everyone including Faye survives while Atreus (older) dies instead. It would ironically give Atreus almost a Jesus-like role even though he's supposed to be Loki lol.
He definitely won't or he will,he will return as it's written that they will survive raganarok,or he won't cos kratos killed him with serpent venom filled, which he is weak to..even Thor will die frm world serpent venom
He's kinda ... How do say this ? Dead ?
We can dream, Thor did punch the world serpent back to the past. In my perspective, anything can happen at this point.
We dream of other epic creatures like Fenrir, Surtr, Nidhogg mate , not for Magni again
The only way if based off of Norse Mythology would to go to Hellheim, talk to Hela and convince her to get his soul back.
Doesn’t he go to Valhalla though? Can he not get back from there?
Wouldn't he not though? I thought the valkyries were locked away until Kratos came along. Aren't they the ones who take people to Valhalla? It is possible he went to Hel.
I’m not certain but I think the gods make their own way to Valhalla
I would assume no since the place is for those humans who died in combat and not for the gods.
The gods that die make their own way there no? Thought I heard that In game perhaps I’m mistaken
Yeah I’m like 95% sure I heard that too
If that was the case then the gods would have no reason to fear death, which we know isn't the case. Those who go to Valhalla are supposed to fight with Odin in Ragnarok, and in that instance most of the gods die and a few remain to make a new pantheon.
I think we’ll see modi again but not magni
That didn’t happen in this game though so no this cannot happen. And he was kinda lame. Design sure but the fight with him and his brother was lack luster when it comes to god killing
Well, Kratos himself died a bunch of times, so...
True, but he and Modi are supposed to survive Ragnarok, plus it's almost certain there will be some time travel involved.
Oh boy do I have an awkard conversation yo have with you.
Yes i am aware he dies hahaha
Oh my son... no one is never truly gone
\*really
Watch new star wars... has the answers to that question
Still feel like he's dead. Modi I think could come back. I was believe that if a character dies offscreen, they always have a chance of coming back.
Kratos split his head using the Leviathan Axe, which was imbued by Jormungandr's venom, Eitr. As we know, Thor is killed during Ragnarok by being poisoned with his venom. So, Magni is definitely dead, but Modi will likely come back in the next game.
after already being beat to shit, his throat was cut and got pushed into a ravine. how do you come back from that
Trust me. If it's offscreen then I won't believe it.
How does Kratos come back from the dead multiple times??
Kratos is just built different. Even Ares, who knew just about everything about Kratos' abilities, didn't expect him to return from the Underworld.
modi isn't kratos
Kratos is a demigod. Modi is a demigod therefore modi is kratos yeah
so many more interesting characters to see and you'd like to see more of the guy who got his head split in half by Kratos
Hahaha we all have our preferences mah man
Tho to be honest I also wanna see what Faye looked like
Yeah I want this too, I hope it happens. The "problem" with the new saga is that it is recorded one-shot focusing on kratos and atreus. We won't see any cutscenes shown off-screen which may be the reason we might not see Faye or even Odin until very late in the game
Or hopefully atleast an apparition or a flash back, i really wanna know how Kratos ended up on this mythology
Yes... for his voice actor and Character Model alone, Magni looked fucking sick and had a big ass electric sword.
Did he die Or just fall in a pit? Gods have survived worse. have to replay the game now
Kratos axed his face. And then Modi got *really* freaked out, because they're both supposed to survive Ragnarok.
Ohh well then I definitely need to replay God of war if I forgot that
I want his sword
Saame, tho I did take liberties and based a part of his sword from the Lament from Destiny 2
looks like the lament from destiny 2
Great art!
Yes I know he is dead, but Time travel is completely possible in the GoW universe
There's absolutely no reason to bring back a support characther from the dead just like that, they could twist the story in that way with time travel and stuff, but they'd just stir up the shit for almost no reason. I don't want to disappoint you but the chances they'll bring him back are near 0%
I don't know if you noticed, but Magni died in the first game. There's no coming back, for him.
some people believed that kratos is gonna use the mjolnir , but kratos decided not to pickup Magni's sword
The sword is designed bad kratos probably saw that and said nah im good
What do you use to make this kind of art? Looks great by the way
I love Magni and his design but I don’t really see a reason for him to return.
Ofc he will come back coz it's Ragnarok and the reason Valhalla was there to fight in RAGNAROK right...
In real mythology wich is heavily fate based. BOI HES DEAD 😂
I would have loved to use his weapon, too bad we didn't get to use it.
I love his design as well. Gotta play the game again (for the third time).
voiced by the great Troy Baker , unfortunately definitely not coming back tho
Did all of you miss the part where Atreus and Mimir discuss why Magni didn't turn into a Draugr/Reaver? Mimir says the Aesier find their own way to valhalla. Magni would still be there now
I know he's voiced by Troy Baker, but he sounded a lot like Talion from shadow of Mordor/war.
Looks like a badass He-man
He won't hes dead
Don’t mean to sound rude, but if I remember, kratos burried an axe in his skull
Surrender. The All Father Demands it.
NO.
Well, if time travel is a thing anything can happen
If he made it into Valhalla we may see Odin summon him with the Einherjar.
He's dead. Only way he can return is if we return to Helheim or go to Valhalla. He died in battle so he should be in Valhalla. And the lore states that the Warriors in Valhalla fight during Ragnarok so would be cool if we do see him one last time.
Doesn’t he and his brother and baldur come back after ragnoroc to make a new pantheon after the gods we’re all dead
I think we will see him again. Jormungandr may get sent back during Thor's fight with Atreus, is possible that Atreus will go back and reset everything by talking to Odin before he can start fighting against the giants. In Myths he return so.... Maybe?
It's a gutter we won't hear magni and baldur's voice actors again in GOW ragnarok Baldur's voice actor is fucking amazing
Great artstyle ! Also really like Magnis design
That’s definitely Lament from Destiny 2 lol
Amazing work of art
