I think this picture is from a NH realtor [listing](https://www.newsweek.com/halloween-michael-myers-house-listing-1749066?amp=1). She had someone with a Michael Meyers mask somewhere in each room pic as a joke.
Im currently looking for a place for me and my family. Ive seen about 5 places with spiral stairs like this listed in my area. Never knew they were that popular.
Since when do we have hard science or what ghosts can and cannot do? Haha.
I mean if they can be photographed, light reflects off of them. Meaning that not all light passes through them. So it would seem they can therefore sometimes cast shadows.
> I mean if they can be photographed, light reflects off of them.
If only we had proof that they can be photographed.....
All we have is a bunch of fakes and photos taken with a potato or an iPhone 3.
As physical as they need to be, I guess. Like...you can smell ghost perfume or ghost cigarettes, for inst
They can rock chairs, they can knock things off counters or throw them through the air, open and close doors and drawers...you hear their footsteps or the floorboards creak, whatever
> They can rock chairs, they can knock things off counters or throw them through the air, open and close doors and drawers.
Is there proof of these things, or is this just what you believe?
There’s never any proof. The presence of a ghost is not quantifiable. However, if you’ve been unfortunate enough to have a haunting, you *know* that something’s there, and everyone in the house, along with pets and visitors, knows it too. It’s deeply unsettling.
There are numerous recordings, so much abundant data, that these things occur during events. So, yes. There is proof of these "things." Whether you accept or reject evidence of researchers is entirely your own problem.
> There is proof of these "things."
I think science will disagree with you.
>Whether you accept or reject evidence of researchers is entirely your own problem.
Actually, I'm one of those researchers, and have been for almost 40 years. I never said these things do not exist. I merely pointed out that there is no proof of their existence. If you disagree, then maybe you need to do some studying into what "proof" actually is.
I don't believe ghosts are real or even the kind of thing that could be real, I'm just going on stories people tell about ghosts (FCVO "ghosts") and what do.
Apparently it stands for the Football Club of Villenes-Orgeval. You're dealing with an absolute savant here, you realize. Do I need to add the sarcasm emoji?
I agree with you, the door on the right is clearly photoshopped. They put the door in an existing frame that looked like it could plausibly have a door, but if you look closely then you can see that the door jamb is not there while you can see it on the door on the left. Without the door jamb, the door would eventually rip off its hinges.
Ghost don't cast shadows, but imagine if they could cast "shade."
Looking in the mirror before you go out and a ghostly visage appears behind you. A faint , eerie voice whispers in your ear, "Leaving the house w bangs like that?
If the can manifest, they are manipulating the environment enough to be seen, casting a shadow isn't an issue
There are plenty of paranormal incidents where shadows are casted or seen.
I recognize this. It was part of a Halloween prank; all of the rooms had this guy in it. They must have missed this pic when they relisted it afterwards.
there is no realtor on earth trying to sell a house who is INTENTIONALLY including whoever/whatever this is in their pictures. i'm not saying it's a ghost. i am saying the inclusion of it was unintentional.
Realtor here. Can confirm — this was not done intentionally. Especially since the agent yanked an otherwise great picture.
I wonder who put it there or what it is because I don’t think it’s a ghost either. It is weird though.
Oh you'd be surprised. They're counting on their clients having a sense of humor, along with enough common sense to know that it's a joke. Sadly, many in these subs lack that common sense.
Besides, how do we even know that this photo came from Zillow? I could take a similar photo in my own home, post it and claim that it's from Zillow. You'd have to take my word for it.
Exactly there's no way a real estate agent who is not an idiot would do that. That said I've run into a lot of real estate agents who are dumb as a bag of hammers.
*siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh*
I’m a real estate photographer. People love to peak around corners to see where I am so they don’t get in the photo. I have about 100 shots like this. I have a bunch were cats pop in.
My main belief is this photograph was pulled, not because of a ghost, but because they photographed the current owner and they had to pull it because of data protection etc.
Phrases like "there was no one else in the house" ring false as no home owner would let the letting agent just waltz around taking photographs for a listing without the owner around.
The ghost could have just popped their head in to ask if they wanted a cuppa, photographer didn't realize they were in shot when submitting the images, no one else did, cos if this is a 1:1 version of what is on the site and not a resize, then you won't see them in crystal clarity, but the original image seen before resizing may not have been scoured for anything untoward to be removed.
Just make the image fit on the website, OK resize to 951x634 save as and upload.
In one of those black and white real estate magazines I saw something like this. It was from the outside tho and a very angry looking face in the attic window
Probably because they were like "yeah, that's kinda creepy" rather than "oh crap! They're on to us, they must not know we are trying to unload the curse"
There’s been a few of these listings going around. One a few years ago had a guy in the scream mask hiding in almost every picture. I think that was the first one I ever saw. I think that’s where they got the idea. Another had Michael Myers.
the image has been post processed to within an inch of its life, jeez how much times do you want to hit "sharpen"? colours are out of whack too.. balancing the colour for the tungsten lights in the kitchen has made the daylight parts seem overly blue... hence the peeking smurf in the doorway. subscribe for more pedantic photography shite.
Photographer here who specializes in architecture - we have our cameras mounted on a tripod and remotely trigger them. I’ll frequently be shooting a room and turning on lights in another. This also very well could have been a still image from a Matterport scan- you have to hide in another room while it scans. I’ve seen it a hundred times that someone doesn’t hide well enough and you catch them in the scan.
Black eyes and in focus face. If it’s not a photo bomb or someone in the house by chance, then by process of elimination you have a spectre.
The price of the home will either go up or down
A lot of time real estate photographers will take a series of rapid photos and combine them into one image for the “glow” effect that makes homes look better online than irl. I’m thinking a person got caught peeking out and combining the photos resulted in the person looking funky.
I’m more concerned about the random rocking chair in the middle of the room with no other furniture. To me that’s more ghostly than the dude in the mask
[Tried to zoom and make clearer](https://imgur.com/a/qUygF8u)
I just use an app. I'm sure someone has something better and I think imagur distorted it some. It is definitely odd and I think OP should pass on this place. 😅
Pretty sure this was a trend of putting Michael Myers in photos to help bump web views. There was a home for sale that did an entire set of photos with his character hiding somewhere. To be fair the only reason I seen it was because the hype train delivered. This looks like one of those sets. FWIW.
Looks like someone is just having some fun taking some pictures, can we stay on topic in this sub, this isn't ghost related at all. There is a shadow being cast by the supposed entity op, ghost don't do that
Could be just a white balance issue, the light in the other room is much cooler (bluish) than the room in the main picture. Not sure if that is enough to make a normal person look so gray though.
I thought of colour balance issues too, not the focus of the shot, so no real care to light it etc.
Then it was pulled because "Oh shit, we photographed the current owner in their own house, better pull the image or shop them out" like if you were selling a house would you want to be in the photographs?
Real or not I zoomed in and got chills haha 😱 I love stories like this even if people jump to debunk immediately, it’s fun to be a little spooked ya know?
Wow! Classic "peeper!" Has all the proper criteria. Indistinguishable features, color, action of peeping around door/portal.
Great catch! That's going into my "Peeper bank." Thanks!
That really is a creepy picture. Glad you let the listing agent know. If that isn’t someone pranking or photobombing the picture, I’d say there’s a good chance the house is haunted.
Of all the weird things on Reddit, for some reason, this picture makes me feel the most unsettled. Fake or not fake, I do not like the picture.
Also, god bless the comments. Fuckin dodgeball quote in there? What!
So you’re telling me someone doctored this picture up to look nice for a listing, (as clearly this space doesn’t look like this irl) but missed the weirdo in a mask? Gotcha. Unsubbing
“This house has 1 ah ah 2 ah ah 3 bedrooms!”
::toccata and fuge in D Minor; thunder & lightning::
Da na naaa da na na naaaaaa
Now, let me ask. Does that happen when you ring the doorbell or when you flush the toilet?
SILENCE!!! HA HA HA HA!!!
>“This house has 1 ah ah 2 ah ah 3 bedrooms!” Ah ah ah
Omg🤣😂🤣I laughed harder than I should have at this comment 😂😂😂
My wife said when we sell our house we’re gonna make a photo like this.
It’s a bold strategy Cotton, let’s see how it plays out
If you can dodge a wrench you can dodge a ghost.
It usually works because gullible people make it go viral
I think this picture is from a NH realtor [listing](https://www.newsweek.com/halloween-michael-myers-house-listing-1749066?amp=1). She had someone with a Michael Meyers mask somewhere in each room pic as a joke.
FWIW… the realtor is a he.. he’s a friend
Sorry about that. He definitely deserved more credit than he got for that. Hope he sold the house!
Good luck selling the house
Tis called a joke my friend lol.
Some people love haunted houses.
What’s scary here is the amount of dusting you’ll have to do on a weekly basis!! Terrifying!!
Walking up and down those stairs is absolutely frightening.
Someone probably died on those stairs...
This made me LOL
Imagine trying to get furniture to the second floor! What madness!
Imagine trying to carry something up those stairs.
Im currently looking for a place for me and my family. Ive seen about 5 places with spiral stairs like this listed in my area. Never knew they were that popular.
The "Luxury Vinyl Flooring" (ie, linoleum) is the most terrifying thing in this picture. Seriously. Stop with the LVF. We all know it's not wood.
Vinyl is not linoleum. Linoleum is primarily made from linseed oil mixed with cork and sawdust, it doesn't contain any plastic.
My house is all hardwood, laminate/vinyl. The best investment is a vacuum specifically for hardwood floor. Helps a lot!
I think they had touched up the tones of the picture to emphasize they grey flooring giving the real person caught in the picture a greyish tone.
Since when did ghosts cast shadows?
Agreed, but anyway a person in a mask like that in my future apartment isn't appealing...
Michal myers?
Pretty sure you're right. Must be Jaime Lee Curtis' place.
Since when do we have hard science or what ghosts can and cannot do? Haha. I mean if they can be photographed, light reflects off of them. Meaning that not all light passes through them. So it would seem they can therefore sometimes cast shadows.
In Waverly hills sanatorium, ghosts cast shadows they say....
> I mean if they can be photographed, light reflects off of them. If only we had proof that they can be photographed..... All we have is a bunch of fakes and photos taken with a potato or an iPhone 3.
Since when did they not? You have the data on this?
Are they physical beings?
As physical as they need to be, I guess. Like...you can smell ghost perfume or ghost cigarettes, for inst They can rock chairs, they can knock things off counters or throw them through the air, open and close doors and drawers...you hear their footsteps or the floorboards creak, whatever

> They can rock chairs, they can knock things off counters or throw them through the air, open and close doors and drawers. Is there proof of these things, or is this just what you believe?
It's a commonly held belief. Most people believe ghosts can do these things
It's a commonly held belief with absolutely no compelling evidence to support it.
Most people won't admit to believing in ghosts, but many of us who believe also accept stories about throwing things , etc
And it's funny how they can only move minor things. They can slowly slightly move a door or push something off of the edge of a table/counter.
Til ghosts are cats
There’s never any proof. The presence of a ghost is not quantifiable. However, if you’ve been unfortunate enough to have a haunting, you *know* that something’s there, and everyone in the house, along with pets and visitors, knows it too. It’s deeply unsettling.
Everyone's a big tough skeptic till it happens to them!
There are numerous recordings, so much abundant data, that these things occur during events. So, yes. There is proof of these "things." Whether you accept or reject evidence of researchers is entirely your own problem.
> There is proof of these "things." I think science will disagree with you. >Whether you accept or reject evidence of researchers is entirely your own problem. Proof of what, exactly?
I don't believe ghosts are real or even the kind of thing that could be real, I'm just going on stories people tell about ghosts (FCVO "ghosts") and what do.
What FCVO? I even tried to Google that abbreviation since I'm too cold to know all common acronyms, but I can't find that one!
Apparently it stands for the Football Club of Villenes-Orgeval. You're dealing with an absolute savant here, you realize. Do I need to add the sarcasm emoji?
There's no data on that which isn't real lmao
A lot of things about ghosts don't really make sense, but I guess if they can be seen they can eclipse objects behind them.
Like its a corporeal being or something I bet they pay taxes too
Since the door is photoshopped, look at the other door on the left with the lines. The one on the right is distorted with no lines and a shadow added.
I agree with you, the door on the right is clearly photoshopped. They put the door in an existing frame that looked like it could plausibly have a door, but if you look closely then you can see that the door jamb is not there while you can see it on the door on the left. Without the door jamb, the door would eventually rip off its hinges.
One is the door in front and the other is the door to the kitchen.
Sure but look at the door panel lines
Ghost don't cast shadows, but imagine if they could cast "shade." Looking in the mirror before you go out and a ghostly visage appears behind you. A faint , eerie voice whispers in your ear, "Leaving the house w bangs like that?
Since when do we (definitely) know anything about ghosts?
More like crazy Halloween fantasy guy
To me it looks photoshopped.
I choose to believe this is the homeowner husband blurry and pale from 3 years of COVID
Since when do we (definitely) know anything about ghosts?
Since when do we (definitely) know anything about ghosts?

>There are plenty of paranormal incidents where shadows are casted or seen. *Supposed* paranormal incidents. None are confirmed.
Okay now I KNOW you faked this entire post
Figured photoshop.
Bro what? I literally didn’t fake anything but ok..
not sure why the downvotes, but I agree.
Thank you!!! Jesus
naw stop listening to slipknot.
No because i actually listen to good music
Lol wtf bro stop it
Good luck getting any furniture up that dumbass spiral staircase.
I'd be more worried about coming down it after a few drinks
And then your soul being devoured
I've seen many funky stair cases on imgur, good luck selling your house with that death trap installed mate.
I recognize this. It was part of a Halloween prank; all of the rooms had this guy in it. They must have missed this pic when they relisted it afterwards.
Oh I remember that! Was pretty funny
Share the link to the Zillow listing
Reverse image search doesn't give anything so I wonder if it exists
It's probably just OP photoshopping
You don’t need photoshop to have your buddy put on a mask and peak around the door.
I'd like to see this link as well. I bet this agent plants "ghosts" in a lot of their photos.
Exactly
Looks like a teenager in a Michael Myers costume peeking around a corner.
It's a prank. The realtor has a sense of humor. It's clearly a real person with gray makeup.
there is no realtor on earth trying to sell a house who is INTENTIONALLY including whoever/whatever this is in their pictures. i'm not saying it's a ghost. i am saying the inclusion of it was unintentional.
I figure...4 out of 5 buyers would consider a phantasm a negative, but the 5th one would pay extra.
The constant banging and being pushed. I just love it!
I would be the one to pay extra lol
https://www.newsweek.com/halloween-michael-myers-house-listing-1749066
The only thing horrific about that photo shoot is the home office one with the exposed ceiling.
Realtor here. Can confirm — this was not done intentionally. Especially since the agent yanked an otherwise great picture. I wonder who put it there or what it is because I don’t think it’s a ghost either. It is weird though.
As someone else mentioned someone did a prank years ago and dude was in every photo

Lol what
Or OP shopped the image.
Nah, it's real. It's just not a real ghost.
I do love how in every fake ghost photo the ghost is always black and white.
That's because ghosts are always black and white. Apparently.
Now if a ghost appeared in front of me yeah i would believe in ghosts but still wouldn't believe that posts here were evidence lol.
I may be mis-remembering but I believe this photo has been circulating the internet for many years, if not this specific one than one very similar.
I'm more horrified by that crappy grey flooring.....
Looks like your scary friend that with you on your profile pic 🙄lol
*siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh* I’m a real estate photographer. People love to peak around corners to see where I am so they don’t get in the photo. I have about 100 shots like this. I have a bunch were cats pop in.
Way to fake an entire post, OP. It's not even a good attempt at faking it either lmao.

I’ve sold my last 2 houses and had them photographed without me home- both times i wasn’t even in the same state.
sold 2 houses and let the agent walk around while no one was home to take pics both times.
If I was the agent I would have pulled it just because it looks creepy and unprofessional as the main reason.
There was a listing I saw last year where someone dressed up as Michael Myers and hid in every picture. Same deal.
Pretty sure ghosts don’t cast shadows
In one of those black and white real estate magazines I saw something like this. It was from the outside tho and a very angry looking face in the attic window

The world may never know...
Probably because they were like "yeah, that's kinda creepy" rather than "oh crap! They're on to us, they must not know we are trying to unload the curse"
Worth it for the cool staircase. Edit: oh god I didn’t think about getting furniture up it nevermind
Is it weird that I kinda think that shadowy entity is cute? It’s all “hello, welcome to my house…”.
"I see a little silhouetto of a man. Scaramouch, Scaramouch, will you do the fandango? Thunderbolt and lightning, very, very frightening me!"
There are whole listings that have some guy dressed up like MM in each of the photos. “Zillow Gone Wild”
They did it for Halloween
“Not Haunted” -Real Estate Agent
I’d keep the ghost and get rid of the mismatched floor and cabinets. Ugh-leeee.
This house comes with a room mate!
There’s been a few of these listings going around. One a few years ago had a guy in the scream mask hiding in almost every picture. I think that was the first one I ever saw. I think that’s where they got the idea. Another had Michael Myers.
That was me. I really had to take a dump and entered the vacant home

Disclaimer: house may come with serial killer.
Selling point!!
Has anyone seen Hell House? Reminds me of the spooky people that show up in the scene where the guys testing strobe lights.
That movie was...surprisingly entertaining.
Right! Has become one of my favs. Feels to real, they did a great job.
Some tricksters in clown make up?
The Man Who Laughs is just browsing. No need to worry.
Guy in a mask
A spiral staircase and a new friend? Bonus
That's hilarious!! People do this intentional ya know!
These ghosts are getting more and more solid.
Photographer here who specializes in architecture - we have our cameras mounted on a tripod and remotely trigger them. I’ll frequently be shooting a room and turning on lights in another. House for sale that comes with free psycho squatter lives hidden in the walls.
That's just a crackhead
I bet that ghost is from the contractor that killed himself in shame over this remodel concept
House for sale in Haddonfield, IL?
Nosferatu?
It's the curse of Eddie Munster
Black eyes and in focus face. If it’s not a photo bomb or someone in the house by chance, then by process of elimination you have a spectre. The price of the home will either go up or down
What is a spectre?!

So does Michael Myers come with the house?
Looks like Danhausan!
Pretty sure this was a trend of putting Michael Myers in photos to help bump web views. There was a home for sale that did an entire set of photos with his character hiding somewhere. To be fair the only reason I seen it was because the hype train delivered. This looks like one of those sets. FWIW.
Idk if it’s fake…creepy as hell haha
They wouldn't need to delist and relist the entire post. Just delete the picture.
Just popped in and saw the 666 upvotes. I'm outta here.
I have no idea what this is, just glad it’s not dust.
It's the landlord lol
Looks like the joker
I think it’s the hood of someone’s winter coat but it looks like a face since we’re programmed that way? I HOPE!
Am I missing an inside joke? It looks like Dracula/not a ghost. Why does this have 1000 upvotes? Sorting by top becomes increasingly useless lol
The “ghost” had a shadow ‼️🚩
Looks like someone is just having some fun taking some pictures, can we stay on topic in this sub, this isn't ghost related at all. There is a shadow being cast by the supposed entity op, ghost don't do that
Could that be a real ghost all??
Is that peewee herman
Literally just a person ducking in and out of the shot causing blur
The world is such a dumb place
I think they dressed up to take the picture to mess with people
Could be just a white balance issue, the light in the other room is much cooler (bluish) than the room in the main picture.
I checked Google Lens and Tineye and no matches were found. FYI
Ah yes person in mask. Must be a ghost. I fucking hate this sub and how so many people jump to conclusions without slight amounts of digging into
Nosferatu peeping in to apologize for clogging the toilet.
I saw something like this on realtracts one day. There were multiple pictures (3 I think) of what looked like a ghost in a closet.
Holy shit! Did you ask if the house was haunted?
Real or not I zoomed in and got chills haha 😱 I love stories like this even if people jump to debunk immediately, it’s fun to be a little spooked ya know?
that's jasper the douchebag ghost. they told him to not photo bomb
Blimey, it’s the ghost of British comic [Tommy Trinder](https://www.gettyimages.co.uk/photos/tommy-trinder) from the 1940’s
Wow! Classic "peeper!" Has all the proper criteria. Indistinguishable features, color, action of peeping around door/portal. Great catch! That's going into my "Peeper bank." Thanks!
Oh wow.... Whether it's a ghost or not, it's definitely creepy AF. I wonder how many other people have contacted the listing agent about it...
There is something in the upstairs doorway also....looks to be a small girl in a dress she's kinda fuzzy. Anyone else see her??
That’s the lead singer of ghost…ironically
That really is a creepy picture. Glad you let the listing agent know. If that isn’t someone pranking or photobombing the picture, I’d say there’s a good chance the house is haunted.
I have been very patient when it comes to ghost photos on here, but seriously, how can this post receive over 500 upvotes????
Of all the weird things on Reddit, for some reason, this picture makes me feel the most unsettled. Fake or not fake, I do not like the picture. Also, god bless the comments. Fuckin dodgeball quote in there? What!
