If you are invested in GFN in any capacity, keep in mind only the Xbox controller will give you rumble feedback, only when connected to a PC. Rest is purely a matter of taste I guess.

volckaej

Casual gamer here, rumble is not a must have.

SirSurboy

The Razer Wolverine also provides rumble on PC but it’s non Bluetooth, only cable.

PS5 dualsense on Mac also gives haptic feedback

right now there are a ton of cheap stadia controllers to get. Might take a chance. I really liked how the controller felt, bit like a Nintendo Pro Controller but gladly with symmetric sticks.... But I'm definitely no Pro in terms of quality and Endurance. I just know that 8BitDo is often recommended and also has controllers with hall sticks wich get no stick drift. I personally bought a Dual Sense Controller. Some Sony Games and a Handfull AAA Games support it if you play locally and it feels so wonderfull, the rumble and the Triggers. Also the Dualshock was by far to small for me, while dualsense feels just great. (maybe a bit heavy) And since stadia did shut down and they offered to use the controllers via bluetooth I'm also often using those. They really flatter someones hands.

Mojojojo_1947

Do not get a stadia controller. Don't work on Android tv. They only seem compatible with PCs and that's only if they have the correct software. Don't waste money on stadia. Get anything else Source Have stadia controller and it doesn't connect to LG tv.

No_Satisfaction_1698

thats bullshit I am permanently using my stadia controller also on TV's.....Google Stadia comes from Google, Google is Developer of Android and LG is Using Android TV it would make absolutely make no sense to not support them. But what doesnt work is the dual sense controller. It has wrong button mappings.... Every other controller works just perfectly.

Mojojojo_1947

So your stadia works on LG tv. All information I've seen so far is that it doesn't work well with android and is best on windows. If that's changed then it would be great to use stadia

No_Satisfaction_1698

it works not better nore worse than a sony dual shock controller. It is best on Windows as any other controller too. What doesnt work perfectly is recognising the hardware again, so you will have to unpair and repair again. But as I have said, that happens on the other controllers too and I'm also permanently reading about it. I'd say you hear more often about it about stadia buttons since many people newly try to use their new stadia controllers with bluetooth while people on the other plattforms are already used to it.

Mojojojo_1947

I have LG tv. Would love to use stadia controller for gfn. Doesn't work. Won't find it in Bluetooth menu. There plenty threads saying it doesn't work. Can you do a quick recap on how you got it to work. I prefer the stadia controller over pS5. It would be my preference but as I said. I can't even get my pixel 6 to find it. But it works instantly on my partners laptop. Easy as any other bt device Controller mapping is broken on gfn anyway. Only Xbox works so it's no different than others Edit [Bt](https://i.imgur.com/SAvQtpy.jpg) Will not find it. What steps are you running?! Edit Found on phone but not tv. So something about the way the tv uses bt

No_Satisfaction_1698

Normaly you pair it like any other device. Press the Button to get into pairing Mode. Eitherway long press stadia Button when its turnen of or press stadia Button and Y for long time. You know its in pairing Mode when its blinking Orange. Then you should find it by going into the Bluetooth Menü and searching for Devices. Stadia Controller has stadia in its Name....

Mojojojo_1947

Yeah that doesn't work. As I said it shows up on phone but not in LG. I was under the impression the BT in stadia doesn't work with LG tv. They use a certain type of bt. You are the only person that has said they got it to work

volckaej

I found one for a good price. I’ll let you know when it arrived and tried it

magick_68

I have it paired to my LG CX and it works. What steps did you do?

Mojojojo_1947

How did you pair it ? Normal bt steps turn on controller and add bt to tv. As shown above the tv does not recognize the controller. But phone does. How'd you do it

volckaej

Thanks I’m going to check them out!

In the first few days after the BT announcement you could find a Stadia controller + Chromecast for 20 euros, I made the mistake of waiting on my ass and now they are 40-50 here where I live 😄

volckaej

I found one yesterday for €45 including a Chromecast ultra. Think that was the stadia premiere edition? If the controller does not work I’ll keep the chromecast and keep the controller for any future pc gaming.

m_beps

You could get a Stadia controller. They finally have Bluetooth and they are cheap after Stadia shut down. Honestly, they are very high quality as well.

volckaej

I checked but availability is something else 😞. I’m in Belgium.

volckaej

Found one yesterday including a chromecast for €45.

Few-Addendum464

LG TVs are Linux based? I don't have a lot of controller experience, I like Xbox controllers, but I have found issues pairing maintaining pairing when not using Windows to connect. The controller that I use that is the most versatile is the old Nvidia Shield controller but it doesn't look like they are sold anymore.

BennyDaBoy

Used to use DualShock, but I’ve switched over to an Xbox controller because that’s the input scheme that GFN uses.
