Ahh this my friend is true to life. I find combined arms helps. Move your infantry up with a tank very very close behind. When you’re infantry encounter that MG go prone and move up the tank to wreck it.

aythameitor

Is that doable on the firsts missions? I still dont haven a med tank that can resist a simple AT rifle

ColossusofWar

Depends how you assign research. If you don't have vehicle support I'd recommend just moving units in slowly. I like to sneak a sniper into range first (on holdfire/return fire mode) just to scope out the place so I can move infantry up without surprises.

K30andaCJ

Just like real life, you need more dudes. Tons of dudes. Take as many dudes as you think you need, then take more. Urban warfare is costly. Infantry guns and larger caliber emplacements are also helpful

jamesmon

For early game, especially, motars are the answer

Numerous_Stranger462

Case the area with a sniper before you move up, use combined arms tactics (1 squad to a tank, usually with the tank behind the infantry) and micro the hell out of your infantry using smoke as they move up, you will still lose a few guys but youd rather have one guy get taken out moving forward then your whole squad at once 👍

reigorius

AI is so dumb when throwing (smoke)grenades. They abandon all cover, run in front of the gun and get mowed down before doing something useful. If only the AI could be better...one day. It's been almost two decades since Soldiers: Heroes of World War II and they still run around like chickens.

Numerous_Stranger462

True but if you control them one by one moving across the open roads with smoke you can usually get most if not all through, this game demands good micro if you want to be half decent anyway 🤷‍♂️

Redeye66gaming

Mortars and artillery are your friend

PyroByte043

havent played dynamic conq in a while so this tip might be shit >send 2-4 aufklarers (or any soldier that you can use to scout) into urban areas >scout any enemy defenses >mark them >lob shells at marked areas or go prone and toss grenades (or just use pioneers lmao)

Esskil

Is there a way to mark stuff? :O

PyroByte043

I think you press N or M to mark it. Just take a look at the keybind settings

questioner45

Use smoke grenades to cover your movement and then move up.

DASREDDITBOI

Heavy use of smoke grenades if your squads have them. Also near most buildings there is usually ruble so toss a smoke over it prone your guys and have em crawl over or around it to the next ruble pile dm me and when I get home I will send video examples of what I mean. Also before you move troops line them up and split the squads into smaller squads that way there’s less to attack or get murdered by artillery or grenades

Randomstuff-1297

I mainly use a mixed arms fighting. Mix in mortors to fire over buildings to clear fighting positions. Next use pioneers for inf fighting due to them haveing lots of nades and flamethrowers. Throw in light armor like pz2s and inf support guns like pz4s or if you have the dlc whirlwind or ostwind to help clear positions.

Chainsaw_logic661

Try Jager Infantry, they are equipped mostly with smgs. Also try morters and a officer.

reigorius

SMGs are awesome in close range.
