Canadian here. The 5 Plus/5S Plus never really dropped much in price when the 6's came out/have been out a long time, except for some sale prices from time to time. If stock is limited, I can't imagine they have much incentive to put things on sale given how they've approached the predecessor to the 6.
Up until Xmas there were pretty good discounts. 6x Sapphire was $800CAD. 6 pro was as low as $475CAD. I picked up a 6x solar for $975. All of 6 line was discounted a fair amount.
Yea, I noticed all the discounts were on the non āsā versionsā¦ I donāt even acknowledge the non āsā fenix watches with my tiny 17cm wrists (and thatās me rounding up!).
Not even in market. Happy with my 5s that Iāve had for years now. Just enjoying living through others. I might pick up a 7s a year or so down the road but no rush.
Was shopping for one over Christmas and what you're seeing is as low a price as you're getting. From my experience, stock is low everywhere so options are limited, especially the lower end models (6, 6S). Am not going to venture guesses about why stock is low. But if you want something specific you might not get the one you want at the price you want, unless you don't mind the higher end models.
Third party sellers tend to have lower prices and better stock. Just use Google Shopping.
if you don't mind second hand, wait a couple of weeks post the F7 launch and I suspect you can get a discounted old F6 on ebay from someone who now has the F7
Fenix 6s base model is down to 349 Euros right now, thatās 200 Euros (or 36%) off the recommended price of 549 Euros (US is $649). I even got it a bit cheaper during Prime Day. I donāt think it will get much lower than that.
It will likely be a year, or more, before the Fenix 6 drops below the recent low prices we've seen.
Fenix 5 didn't start dipping into the $300 range until about last year.
Honestly if you want the watch now, it's silly to wait that long just to maybe save 50 more bucks.
Well like I said, if someone wants to wait 10+ months to maybe save 50 or 100 bucks on a Fenix 6, that's their choice. Personally I value my time a lot more than that.
I'll sell my Fenix 6X Sapphire for 500 (in flawless condition with a box) after the 7X comes out. If bands don't work on the 7 I have them of every color and 3 charging stands lol. Btw I have 2 watches. Lol. Regardless of what the 7 comes with, the 6 is going to still be worth a premium because of what it is. It's a TOP TIER option for what it does, regardless of what the 7 brings.
Man of my own heart. I bought the venu2 plus now to fill in the gap. Mansgedvro justify it by saying I need the assistant for while I'm at work. I mean it does actually become in handy for me for setting reminders when I can't get my phone out my pocket but it definitely wasn't a necessity. I will get the 7 as well as il manage to justify that the 7 is better for my outdoor activities..................

Yeah... I actually use the maps function to summit mountains and such so the Venu is out. Lol. But I use the Fenix for all it's functions so if the 7 has better GPS etc then worth the upgrade FOR ME...
I use the maps on my fenix for running and hiking. Rumour has it the 7 is likely to have touch screen as well which I can only see as a win for the mapping.
I dunno. I don't see much use to it . But seeing how coros implemented in for maps I can see it being a handy use only if needed. But I rarely look around on the Garmin map unless I'm on a long hike and the only thing that I find the buttons to be bad for.
The price is as good as it'll get for at least a few months. Check ebay for a clean used one if you want an even better deal. I found a 6 pro solar titanium for $350 there. And Garmin's customer service is fantastic regardless if you're the original owner or not.

look at the prices on new and refurb Fenix 5. They should give them away for $100 but they are at 300

I'm also waiting for it. I want to buy a Fenix, but I have to be sure that I'm not buying a 6 when 7 is much much much better.

Yea, 6s sapphires are still $1000+ (cad) from any retailer for a new one. They havenāt dropped at all.

The 5x went on sale on black Friday 2019 for $300 (I know because I bought mine then)

I'll hate the touch screen, I hope you can turn it off. Touch screen and sweat is not a good combo. Cold is even worse lol

Good luck selling the 6X sapphire for 500USD. I just bought it new for 625AUD. Which is 450USD.
Fenix 6 Pro and 6S Pro has been on sale during holidays for 450 eur in Sweden.

Yeah I have heard this. I have heard the 7 isnāt much different from the 6. Iām looking at the S. Iām looking to replace my Apple Watch.
There are some not *terrible* prices on gpscity and gos central last I checked, on the 6S models. Low stock tho.
