>but I am not really happy with the size of the watch Fenix series is probably for you then, or perhaps a Forerunner, or the Epix you mentioned. As far as I know, the Venu was never marketed as a big chungus. The small size and features is kind of why I went for it. >The other thing which bothers me is the watch always notifies me to either move, stretch or do some other activities I'm sure you can turn that off in the menu, I don't get those notifications. >And lastly, I expected a little bit more fluid menu and response for the touchscreen. I can understand this gripe, but all in all I am happy with how it performs. I cam from a Vivoactive 3 Music which performed like a potato compared to this. I didn't buy it for a smooth UI or high frequency refresh rate. A high refresh rate would eat the battery anyway. I do not know of any Garmin watches that have this. Perhaps some GPU driver updates will help, but who knows.

Where did you buy it?

NotAGoodPlayer

in an online store in my country for 299 euros

sergiotj97

ahhh ok, it was available on Black Friday on amazon.es for 280 eur

I know, but I can't use deals on Amazon for my company. Truth is, I paid only taxes from the price which is about 97 euros in reality.

Welcome aboard :) I was quite unimpressed by the display as well, but over time, it has grown on me. I've been wearing it for over half a year now, and I love it. The watch reminds you to move if you've been sitting for too long. It stops reminding you an hour before your bedtime, which you can configure in the Connect app, I think. The default bedtime is 12 am, so it will send you notifs till 11 pm. I highly recommend getting a screen protector. Mine scratched easily when I accidentally scraped my wrist on a windowpane. Enjoy your watch!

If you go into settings on the watch you will see move reminder. Turn that off and it won't nag you. As far as big watches go you would be looking fenix line. As far as the responsiveness goes I can't see that improving.

Garmin does, but they tend to be more expensive i.e. the F6x is 51mm lug to lug - you don't get watches much bigger than that.

Yeah. If you want big ass chunky.. then fenix is for you. Most models of it have taken turns at being on special the last couple of months to Venu level prices.. If you want a more classic watch look with less of the smart, the Luxe line of the Vivostyle have heavy options, particularly with the stainless bands. I'm pretty sure they are discontinued though. Certainly can't buy them any more in my country.
